Happy Birthday John!!
Make a wish!
Today is John's birthday. We are celebrating with my family today. My brother, Hiroshi, is in charge of bring dessert and my parents are bringing the sushi. We are also celebrating Mother's Day at the same time since John and Hiroshi's work schedule conflict with a celebration on Sunday. It's going to be really nice to celebrate something happy after all the recent stress.
Party like a Panda!
Sorry for the short update. I should be back to my old posting schedule soon. It's been a rough go lately. >_<;; Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day. Don't forget to do something special for your moms! I love you all! ::huggles::

If cancer were a person...
I would mess them up!!
Before anything I want to let all of you know that your love, prayers and support means so much to me. If you were here with me right now I would give each and every one of you a huge Panda bear hug. I am sure many of you have heard the saying: "God only gives you as much as you can handle." Well, at this rate I feel like God has very high expectations of my ability to handle things! :P
All day yesterday and today I spent the day with my mom. She was really down yesterday morning when I called her and I told her I was kidnapping her and taking her out and about. We went shopping, ate lunch at a cafe' and then ended the day with dinner with my dad and John. John fired up the BBQ grill and the guys had dinner all ready for us...including homemade potato salad! My mom seemed much more up beat at the end of the day. She knows sitting at home and being depressed isn't going to change anything. So we ran around town and had a great "girl's day out". My mom picked up a couple of new outfits and some cute knick-knacks.
As most of you know, I absolutely love shopping. When I feel down, I shop. Shopping = Happiness. So since yesterday was lots of fun I thought we should continue the fun with some more shopping! Today we went out of town (since we pretty much hit all the cool spots in my little home town yesterday!) to Kennewick, Washington and hit the shopping areas there. My mom told me that she was happy to go out the past two days since it kept her from thinking about things like how this might be her last Mother's Day and things like that.
Again, if cancer were a person...rawr!!
I think one of the reasons she is thinking this way is because she did just loose her older brother to cancer a few months back. He only made it about 2 months after being diagnosed. That was tough on the family and now my mom has cancer. Bah. I really hate stupid diseases like cancer and RA, they really mess up people's lives.
My mom is a very strong person. She is such an optimistic, happy person and takes everything in stride. I wish I were as mellow and easy going as her. Compared to my mother I am an angry, grumpy hot head who has a super short temper. Considering the diagnoses she is really taking things well...probably better than the rest of my family! She really is a much stronger person than I am.
Yeah, like I said, I am an angry bear compared to my mom.
Did I mention that you guys totally rock? Well you do. Your friendship through this tough time means so much to me. You guys have always been here for me through all my ups and downs concerning my health. Knowing that your friendship and support extends out to my mom is beyond what I can put into words. I love you all very much. Thank you. ::huggles::
Well, it has been a really long and crazy last couple of days. I've done with my pity party and I am now going to put all of my energy into supporting my mom through all of this. Thank you again for all your support. All your comments mean so much to me. All this positive energy gives me the strength to give my mom all the support she needs. You know they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I am a fighter and I know my mom is too. We're not going to let this stupid disease ruin our time together.
Love you all!

Life is not fair.
My mom as been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. It is a cancer of the plasma cells. There is no cure, just treatment to deal with the disease. The only thing I can do is try to educate myself on the disease, this is one of the things I found:
"The 5-year relative survival rate for multiple myeloma is around 30%. Survival is higher in younger people and lower in the elderly. Of course, 5-year survival rates are based on patients diagnosed and initially treated more than 5 years ago. Recent improvements in treatment often result in a more favorable outlook for recently diagnosed patients."
My mom is in her 60's. I pray and hope with the advancements in medicine that she will live much longer than 5 years. I don't want my mom to have to go though weeks of chemotherapy sickness. I don't want her to be in any pain. I don't want to loose my mom to cancer. I feel angry, mad and sad all at the same time. I wish I would have been the one diagnosed with the disease. I would rather deal with it so she didn't have to.
Please put my mom in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh so sad!
If you watched Full Metal Alchemist you know what I am talking about. When I read this part in the manga it made me so sad, I cried. It just broke my heart. I had not seen the anime portion until tonight. I really don't have much of an update tonight so I will just leave it at this.

Meh!!!
Arrrgh!!!
So get this, the gas company turned off the natural gas to my house. When John called to find out what happened...they said, we don't know why they turned it off but their records show it was turned off today. Our account has a $0 balance, the payments have been coming in on time and they have no idea why it was turned off but at least they said: "We won't charge you to re-start service". What the heck?! They turned it off for some unknown reason, a reason they don't even know why, and they are doing us a great favor by not charging us for fixing their mistake!! They also can't restart the pilot light in the furnace until "some time tomorrow". Which means that I get to wait all day for some guy to show up so I can have that fixed!
Bah, that just bites!
I really don't have much of an update. I am trying to dig out all my old cosplay pictures so I can submit them to the site. Be sure if you haven't checked that section out yet to stop by for a visit. There are already some great submissions. I'll be sure to let you know when my gallery is posted. Well, I hope you are all doing well and don't forget that you are loved by a Panda. ::huggles::

Panda's Day Out!
Rice, tea, miso soup, tempura, california rolls, teriyaki chicken and honeydew.
Today my parents went to Seattle and I got to tag along. We went to Uwajimaya which is a wonderful Asian grocery store. I bought tons of yummy food and went into Kinokuniya (the bookstore section) and drooled over all the manga. I decided to opt for a Japanese magazine instead. After that we went to my uncle's restaurant, Togetsu, and I had what is in the above picture for lunch. That was just my portion! If you look you can see I have an extra bowl of rice. I am not sure why but my uncle gave it to me. Before we left he gave us 2 big bento (lunch) boxes with more Sushi and some Tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet).
I think it's time for a bishie break!
Goku's ready to eat!
I am so happy to get my pantry restocked. I was out of most of the "staples" in a typical Asian pantry. I ended up buying a 50 pound bag of rice and soy sauce since I was completely out! I wasn't going to make it much longer without rice! >_<;;
Since I've got food on the brain, what is your favorite ethic food?
got bamboo?
Since I am Japanese I don't think I can count Japanese food as "ethic". I suppose that most of the time ethic food is something other than what you normally eat...right? I would have to say that my favorite would be tamales. I love tamales. Mmmmm, I should make John take me out to dinner so I can have some tamales.
Well, I best be going. I finally rested my elbow today so it doesn't hurt and I don't want it to flare up again. I love you all and thanks to all of you who went to read my latest interview, voted and left comments. You guys rock. ::huggles::

Ouch.
My elbow hurts.
No update today except to remind you to use this link and go read my Interview with Dan Woren. I chatted with him tonight on the phone and he is going to be stopping by the site to check out the article so I would really appreciate it if you could all stop by and give some positive feedback for my article. Only a few of you have stopped by and someone has already voted it down. That makes a sad bear. I worked really hard on that interview too so I really would appreciate some positive feedback from you guys.
Well, my elbow is hurting so I need to stop typing. Thanks for visiting and I promise when I am feeling better I will make the rounds to all your sites. Know that I am thinking of you and sending you all happy thoughts. Love you all! ::huggles::

My latest interview is posted!
Dan Woren and yours truly!
I finally got the interview with Dan finished and it is now up on the site. Please go read it and leave me some positive feedback. It has silly sound clips...you know you want to listen...go now!
Well, I mentioned that Dan did the voice to Chapel the Evergreen in Trigun. It wasn't a huge part but an important one. He is the mentor of Wolfwood. Here's a screen cap to refresh your memory...
Wolfwood and Chapel
As you Trigun fans know, Chapel is a major part of the series. This episode is so sad too...I'll leave it at that.
Well, I am not feeling so well so I am cutting this short. Love you all much. Laters!

I have a new health problem!!
Not another health problem?!?!?
As you all know today I ventured to my Rheumatologist's, or as those with RA refer to them -- Rhumy's office today for an exam. I have now been diagnosed with.....LATERAL EPICONDYLITIS!!! What is Lateral Epicondylitis you ask? It's just a fancy way to say I have Tennis Elbow. LOL If it keeps bugging me then I will have to go have a check up with the Orthopedic Surgeon. >_<;; I have been ordered to rest my arm, wear a brace and put this topical pain ointment on my elbow 3 times a day. Ointment...isn't that just a funny word. Say it with me...ointment. That's right, ointment.
Anywho, I am supposed to stop doing whatever repetitive motion that may have caused this condition. As you all know, all I do is work on the computer. So I shouldn't spend so much time typing. I promised I would cut down on my time on the computer. ::crosses fingers:: I think knowing that I wouldn't follow orders my doctor told me if I don't the pain could last a few years! Eegah! Hopefully it will go away in just a little bit. I don't want to be slathering OINTMENT on my elbow for years! Eewwww! With my luck I will end up like my mom, who also has RA and was diagnosed with Tennis Elbow. She had to get her elbows replaced. Bah. I could end up being the "Bionic Panda"! Woot!
So today instead of my typical bishie break I am going to have something the guys will enjoy. Well, at least I know of one guy ::looks at John:: who will enjoy this.
Yeah, have fun watching Winry shake her bootay. It is a bit mesmerizing though isn't it? Now quit watching it!!
I think you guys need a question for the day! It's been a while since I've done one of these. Have you ever been told to do something by your doctor but went against their orders and didn't follow their directions? For instance, not take all your antibiotics? Run around when you were supposed to be resting? Stuff like that?
As you can clearly see I am still typing. I just need to post this quick "little" message then I am done typing. That and put the finishing touches on my interview which should be posted on the site any minute...then I'll be done typing. Oh and make a quick run through the OB...after that I will stop typing. Oh and answering emails....for sure then! :P
Ok, so this is a case that I am going to have a very hard time following doctor's orders. My dad is diabetic and he love chocolate ice cream. If he thinks he can get away with it, he will try. Bad, very bad. Now how about you? What have you done against doctor's orders?
I better stop typing! Take it easy you guys and hope you are having a great weekend. Love you all very much and I'll be seeing you around the site! (Just don't tell my Doctor! shhhh!)
Edit: Go read my Interview with Dan Woren. You know you want to, it has some sound clips too! Come on, leave me some positive feedback, I got tennis elbow from all that writing!! ^_^ |

How Totally Embarrassing!
So, posted on Robotech.com, for all the world to see is this picture of me looking a bit worse for the wear after a full day of Sakura-con. It was right after Dan gave me the panda and Tommy Yune (Harmony Gold's Creative Director) took these "incriminating" pictures of the panda enjoying a Gin and Tonic and some snacks. This is what the caption under the picture on RT.com states:
This lovable little panda was presented to Robotech.com member Panda by Dan Woren himself in return for her generous hospitality. Unfortunately, this innocent creature got caught up in the whirlwind of the late night party lifestyle of Sakura Con! Don't let this happen to you kids ... party responsibly!
I think this PSA (Panda Service Announcement) is meant more for me than anyone else! @_@ Oh well, at least I wasn't still wearing my panda hoodie in the picture then people would REALLY think the party panda is me!! >_<;;
Those pictures really did make me smile. Thanks Tommy for posting those panda pictures!! ::huggles:: Speaking of smiling I made a new wallpaper yesterday that I think is pretty funny. It's going to be my bishie break for today too. As you know when I think (on occasion I venture into this uncharted area of "thinking") I end up coming up with some wonderfully strange stuff. Well, I thought this up!
Konzen looks so happy to clean!
I don't know about you other fan girls out there, but I am all for hiring a bunch of bishonen guys to clean my house! ~_^
Now I am going back to bed. My RA isn't bugging me because I caught a flippin' cold! Stuffy and/or runny nose, sore throat, cough and sneezing. I will ask you a quick question for the day.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are sick? Do you like to read? Watch tv? Sleep, sleep, sleep? What do you do when you are at home sick with a cold?
I apparently still have the energy to get on the computer and complain. Other than that I like to drink hot tea and cuddle up in bed with some manga.
Well, I need to go get some rest. I love you all and hope you are all in great health. I'll chat with you guys later!
