   FMA + Panda = Current Obsession

Xiaomay chuggin' a beer. I am sure you guys have noticed the new layout change. I have never done a black and white color scheme on my site. Strange to think huh seeing how I always have pandas. It's always had some other color as the base color. I am diggin' it. No worries fans of the Devil Panda theme. I'll probably bring it back at Halloween. ^_^ I hope you all made it through April Fool's Day safely and without embarrassment. Not much happened to me since I basically stayed in my little Panda den all day and read Full Metal Alchemist manga for hours. I made a couple new greetings and wallpapers inspired by the manga images. I am planning on more but those are the ones I got uploaded. My personal favorite is the "fan art" greeting. I highly recommend all of the fan art artist to send this greeting card to all your friends. ^_^ My bishie break is a couple of really cute boys... Ed and Al! Oh so cute! I have just totally fallen in love with little Alphonse. He is such a sweet little boy! I swear, it must be that "maternal instinct" kickin' in that makes me want to take those boys in and give them a good home. Darn biological clock making me want to have kids! In reality I will never have kids because of my poor health. I kinda feel like Izumi from FMA in this case. Because of her physical "problems" she can't have kids and neither can I. No worries though. I will always have my pets. I'll probably just turn into her... Watch out for Izumi! Housewife on rampage! Now for your question of the day. Do you have freckles? I have freckles and I am quite proud of them. I don't wear any make up at all. I know many women try to cover up their freckles but I don't. I usually don't even think of it. How 'bout you? Do you have freckles? Well, I am off to get some sleep. Staying up 'til 6 am reading FMA isn't helping me get over this bout of insomnia. ~_~ zzz I love you all and hope you are having a great weekend. Laters!

   What in the heck?!

Scary Panda Yesterday's post responses surprised me. Where did you guys all come from? My site goes to Hell (look at the flames!) in a hand basket and you're all here! The shortest post ever and I get the most responses ever! Bizarre. I can write up a long post and get 12 or 13 responses..but leave a cryptic message of change and you're all here. It's like a train wreck, you're all here to watch the mayhem! You lookie-loos! You're all sick! Sick I tells ya! And that is why I love you all so much. ::huggles:: Now the great change I was talking about is going to be postponed 'til closer to next weekend. Probably before I go to Sakura-con. Nothing big you guys, just going to change the site. The Devil Panda is trying to steal my soul! Every time I stop by to check my site, it's there, waiting, watching. @_@;; I am pretty sure this paranoia comes from my latest bout of insomnia. Ask Adam, I sent him an email at 4 in the morning! LOL Sorry for the let down guys, I just wasn't expecting such a huge turn out yesterday. I will let you know the new layout color is something I have never done with my site before. Not a huge change like the Devil Panda theme, but something new. I am going to cut this update short too since I have to work really hard on some interview questions for Sakura-con. That and I am bummed 'cause I had someone who I though was my best friend tell me that my submissions on this site took no talent to make. ;_; Edit: After much thought, and realizing that today is April Fool's Day (I must be a fool since I didn't realize it. lol) I think I will change the site tomorrow. The Devil Panda I think works great for April Fool's. All the newbies will think I am some evil Administrator Panda. Grrr! Fear Me!

   Fear the Bear!

Scary huh! Rawr! Thanks for all the comments yesterday. I am still feeling meh. I think it is funny how many of you thought you ended up on a different site! Mwahahaha! I betcha didn't think a Panda could be so intimidating! Grrr! Scared ya didn't I! Yeah, I know...it didn't work. Oh well, I tried. I am thinking for my next theme to go for an Angel Panda theme. From one extreme to another. lol Right now I am taking it easy since I HAVE to get healthy enough to go to Sakura-con. I am going no matter what! I would just rather I am feeling better than worse. I am very much looking forward to Sakura-con to visit with friends and hopefully get some interviews for the site. It's going to be fun. ^_^ Speaking of anime conventions I did just put a press release up on the front page of theO for an Anime Expo 2005 pre-registration contest. If you are planing on going to AX this year I highly recommend pre-registration. There are several reasons for this: 1) AX is the largest anime con in the US. You don't want to wait hours in line to get into the con. Pre-registration lines are much faster to pick up your entrance badges. 2) When you pre-register you are automatically put into the drawing for some really cool prizes. 3) Pre-registration prices are cheaper than buying your ticket at the door. Save money AND have a chance to win prizes..sounds like a good deal all the way around. I did do a bit of fan art for Azumanga Daioh. My latest piece is of Maya and Mr. Tadakichi. They are just so cute I wanted to draw them. I've dedicated it to all of you. Thanks for being my support system and being here when I need you. ::huggles:: Without you I would be lost. Thanks for the friendship and support. ^_^ Needless to say I just have the drawing bug right now and I really want to do some fan art. It's much like the wallpaper bug I just got over. The last wallpapers I made are for Gantz (which many of you know is very difficult to find screen caps that are appropriate for the site!) and Paranoia Agent. I might do Marumi next for fan art. That uber-creepy dog-like thing would be a nice change from my usual cute fan art. Unfortunately for me my RA is hindering that fan art bug just a tad bit. Bah. Of course it may make Marumi look creepier if I do it while having a flare up! Thanks again for all the get well wishes. I really do appreciate each and every one of them. It's nice to know I have such a great support group here on theO. You guys rock my socks off.

   If Rheumatoid Arthritis were a person...

...I'd be in jail right now for murder. Well, I didn't make it to the family get together because of my RA. I was so messed up Easter morning I couldn't get out of bed. My big brother even stopped by to check on me. He rocks. Poor John, he stayed home to take care of me. He missed Easter with the family to take care of me. ::pouts:: It makes me feel bad. I kid you not, if RA were a person causing all this trouble in my life, I would kill them! It is now 12:28am (Monday morning) and I just updated my site to the new Devil Panda theme. It goes well with my mood right now. I really hate being sick. It so does not rock. Thank you all for all the Easter greetings, feedback on my art and wallpapers AND a huge thank you for the comments for Wendee. She emailed me today and said she was happy to read all the positive feedback. ^_^ I'm still not feeling so hot, but I wanted you to all know that I love you all so much and your support, especially on my bad days, it keeps me going. I may not make it to all your sites to comment but you are all in my thoughts. Sorry for the short update, I promise to make the rounds and give a proper update when I am feeling like my regular saucy self. ::glomps::

   Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I really need to catch up on my sleep or I am going to fall asleep during the family's Easter festivities. I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter and the Easter Panda left you plenty of yummy candies and goodies in your basket! The Easter Panda left me 2 bags of Hershey's Chocolate Easter Eggs. Yummy. Here are your assignments: -Go read, vote and leave comments on part 1 of the fan interview with Wendee Lee! I did give her the URL since she wanted to read the fan comments. So make sure you leave a thank you to her in the comment box! Spread the love, let her know we love her! I am guessing we will get to part 2 of the interview questions in the next week or so. Gotta get past the holiday and her busier than busy work schedule. She really is a workaholic! I wish I had her energy! -Go look, vote and leave comments on my latest piece of fan art! The picture is of Black Hayate from Full Metal Alchemist. Black Hayate is the pup that Sgt. Major Fury found and eventually Lt. Hawkeye adopts him. From the first time I saw him I wanted to draw him but my RA has been so bad I haven't been able to pick up a pencil. Until today! I sketched him out, scanned him then finished the inking in Photoshop. I absolutely LOVE this little pup. I am quite proud of how he turned out.    Can't sleep, clown will eat me!

This is what I should be doing right now. Hey everyone. It is now 5:02am and I am still wide awake. I was getting screen caps from my new Full Metal Alchemist DVD which you all know what that means. More wallpapers and greetings. I decided I would go browse through my comments since it is nice to get positive feedback. Well, one person doubts I am the creator of all my wallpapers. I am not going to put that person's name on my site since I sent them a PM about their comments on my "Fake Wings" .Hack wallpaper and one of the "Van & Hitomi" Escaflowne wallpapers. I didn't go through all my papers but I bet there are more comments from that member. ::shakes head:: The thing I hate about that is people who don't know me might actually think I am one of those scabs that steals other people's work. Ugh, just thinking that someone thinks that about me is annoying. I spend a ton of time watching the anime DVD's on my computer scanning pictures and collecting screen caps to make the walls/greetings. Sheesh, because of the losers out there that do steal people just assume that everyone does. The original work has to come from somewhere...and all mine comes from me! It's bad when someone on theOtaku staff has to defend their own work. >_<;; Now getting off my usual tirade about my wallpapers and their "questionable status" I will move on to more upbeat things! I finished putting together part 1 of the interview with Wendee Lee. I just need to wait for Adam to post it to the site. Of course, if you guys have gone to his blog you may have noticed that "publishing is a privilege, not a right"...so maybe I shouldn't assume that it will be put up on the site! Not only that but he mentioned that the moderation problem will be taken care of!! Perhaps he means me!! Oh the humanity!! I'm a goner!! He's going to send some hairy guy named Guido to "tie up loose ends" or send me to "sleep with the fishes"!! Aaaargh! I think I better have a bishie break one last time before Guido finds me! Maybe he'll send Sanzo after me...that would be the way to go! Ok, question of the day time! Now keep in mind that I am running on far to little sleep to think clearly. I know, like that is going to be an excuse for the way I act on this blog. All my questions are bizarre. Ok, here goes: How flexible are you? Can you touch your toes? Do the splits? Or are you totally unflexible? I can touch my toe to my nose! Back in the day when I was young like you kids I was really flexible. I could do the splits, touch my toes and basically turn myself into a Panda Pretzel. Now...I am all arthritic and find it hard to even squat down to pick stuff off the floor! LOL I do think it is quite funny. Somehow I became geriatric in my 20's. Bah. Nothing left for me to do now but yell at the neighbor kids to keep of my lawn! ::shakes cane in air:: Well, before I fall asleep I am going to submit my new wallpapers and greetings, make the rounds to your sites, go mill about theOB and then eat some breakfast.    Woo Hoo! It's been a good day!

I so rock. Today was a pretty good day. I worked on some more wallpapers and greetings, got a few more questions done with Wendee Lee and went shopping for new anime goodies. Whenever I go shopping- it is a damn good day. The thing that totally rocks is that I got Peacemaker Kurogane volumes 2 and 3, Gantz volume 1 in the collector's box (Illich Guardiola does the dub voice of Masaru Kato...rawr!) and the highlight of my trip was finding the collector tin box of Full Metal Alchemist with volume 1 and OST. Oh happy day! Take a look at my haul! Tin box...shiny. Going back to what I said about working on the Wendee Lee interview we are going to break it up into a 2 parter. This way the answers we have covered can be shared. She is so busy! Finding the time to do the interview is really tough. When Rebecca Forstadt listed her as the "workaholic" she really meant it! So be sure to keep an eye on the front page of the site for part one of the interview. I should have it up by tomorrow. ^_^ Must write interview up and not watch new anime DVDs! ::gets distracted by FMA:: Bah, I better do a bishie break instead of procrastinating! I decided since I have Illich Guardiola on my brain I would use one of the characters he has done the voice for... Sha Gojyo. Your question of the day. Hmm, I don't have one. I guess you guys luck out today! Well, I really should get back to work on the interview. I am even having a bit of a bug to do some fan art...that hasn't happened in a while now has it!
