I love you.
Sweets for my Sweeties.
Thanks for all the well wishes. I am still in the middle of a bad flare up of my arthritis but I MUST tell everyone what is going on in my oh-so-exciting life. I was feeling really REALLY down. When I have a bad flare up it is really hard for me to not get depressed. I also went rounds with a close friend during this time too. I was pretty much feeling lower than low. Things got all worked out with my friend and that is all fine now. But things were not all bad while I have been away!
I got an email today from Arthritis Today which is a magazine for people with...surprise, surprise...arthritis. It also covers some other autoimmune diseases. Anyway, I wrote a query for them in hopes they would pick up my story. The email said they want to use my story in the magazine, the exact words were: "I am interested in using your story in a "survivor" story. We want to give hope and encouragent through the story." Doesn't that just rock! They have a super tight deadline so hopefully it will make it into the magazines. ^_^
There is also the Nifty-Fifty on the OB. I made the list! I was just happy being nominated and I actually made the list. I also think that it totally rocks that the Otaku Lounge made the list too. The final list was amazing. It is really cool to see what made it. Everyone must go check out the list. It makes me happy to see the forum I mod for make the list. A few of my nominations made the list too. That is so cool. Shy and crew did a great job with that community function. I can't wait to see what is going to be next!
I also have been watching, re-watching and watching some more Saiyuki: Requiem. I love Saiyuki. I is kinda sad that this is the last Saiyuki that ADV has. I hope Gunlock and Reload are going to be good. It's kinda weird since I am so use to hearing the English VA's voices and now they are going to change. I guess I will just stick to the original seiyuu voices if I don't like the new VA's. Speaking of Saiyuki...
Let's have a bishie break!
Goku looks happy for me!
I am a bit lost as to what question to ask you. I know, do you know someone that reminds you of an anime character?
This is actually kinda funny. At times John reminds me of a male version of Osaka from Azumanga Daioh. He will come up with the strangest things to talk about and he can't float. Remember the episode of Azumanga Daioh when Osaka is asking about what the secret to floating is...well, John is the exact same way. He can swim, but if he stops moving he sinks. I, on the other hand can float forever. Needless to say John's favorite character is Osaka. I think it is because they can relate. >_<;;
Your Bizarre and Unusual Holiday reminder for February 7th are "Wave All Your Fingers at Your Neighbor Day" and "Send a Card to a Friend Day"! Well, it is much better to wave all your fingers at your neighbors than just one finger!
Well, I am going to get some rest and take more pain meds. I hope you are all doing well and your week is off to a great start. I love you all and will visit with you soon. Laters everyone! ^_^

You people are evil!!!
And that is why I love you so much. You guys never let me down. Definitely one of the best question sessions in a while. I knew you would give me some good ones. Now, without further ado, I am going to open up my image folder and unleash my answers upon you!!
Solo: If you had the opportunity to perform to some music, what would the music be and what would you wear?
I, wanna rock 'n roll all night...and party everyday!
Back in the day I use to be really REALLY into music. I play many different instruments since, well, I can't sing. Lately I have overcome my singing stage fright and now love karaoke. I would love to sing cheesy 80's rock ballads while wearing something outrageous. Like those really tall Gene Simmons platform boots I have told you guys about. I so rock.
Chocobo Gene: How did you become a writer?
::scribble, scribble, scribble::
Good question. I always had a love of writing. In the 4th grade (waaaay back in the 1980's) I entered a creative writing competition and was picked as the winner for the school. I actually had to read my story out loud at a school assembly in front of the entire student body. I then won a trip to the "Young Writer's Conference" to learn more about being a writer. Get this, my story was about toys coming to life. It had Barbie in it and she was a real snotty rich brat. My main character was a beat up stuffed bunny rabbit. I really should sue the "Toy Story" guys for stealing my story.
the fizz: You've done alot of things for Myo/TheO/OB, what is/was your most exciting/coolest/funnist/ect.(that got you worked up in some way) for you as you were doing it?
Happy Dance!
I would have to say it is an interview I have in the works right now. I am not going to spill the beans on it just incase it doesn't pan out. That would really suck to get everyone excited about the interview to only have it go down the drain. I will let you know that the person I want to interview has already agreed to the interview. When I got that confirmation I went a bit on the fan girl side and got really REALLY excited. It actually made me feel like my new career is going somewhere.
myoshi: How do you feel about Bush putting social security into stock??
There are many things the govt. needs to address.
Wow, my first political question. I generally stay clear of politics and religion since it usually ends up in a big ol' debate. My opinion on the Bush social security stock thing is that yes, social security is really messed up and changes need to be made. Bush said: "We must strengthen Social Security by allowing younger workers to save some of their taxes in personal accounts, a nest egg you can call your own and government can never take away." But I am not sure if this is the way to do it. I really don't have much info about it except that they need a huge loan, it's like $700+ billion, to impliment this. To make a definite pro or con stance on it I need to do more research. I really need more information before I can make an informed decision.
Bank of mulitple questions Kev:1. What else do pandas eat other than bamboo? 2. Are pandas meat eaters?
Ready to eat?!
I am going to answer these two questions together. Pandas eat many different things besides bamboo. Bamboo makes up the majority of their diet but they also eat other fruits, veggies and sometimes...small animals! So yes, pandas have been known to eat meat.
3. If a Guy With A Idea came in contact with a panda what would happen?
I might have to pratice my stabbin'!
I wouldn't have to worry since I would have you to protect me Kev. Talk about an inside joke. Let me explain to my faithful readers. At Anime Expo in 2003 before the Harmony Gold (HG) panel there was this guy who was bugging the HG staff. Kev was great, he basically rescued the staff from having to deal with this rabid fan boy who had this great idea he wanted to sell to them. This guy was uber creepy! At the end of the panel we were all going out to a dinner with the staff and needed to make sure the guy didn't follow us. Kev basically told us to all get going and he would explain later. Needless to say the way Kev told us to get moving we all got out of there like the building was on fire! We made it out safely...mostly. I think I was the only one injured in the great escape. I was running down the stairs next to Jay who at the time was a writer for Newtype. Somebody asked why the rush and he turned around to point at the guy but ended up poking me in the throat! Lucky he didn't poke my eye out! Oh what fun.
4. Should pandas be cloned?
I don't think pandas should be cloned. The entire cloning thing is really not all it's cracked up to be. Like Dolly for instance. The age of her cells etc was the same as the donor sheep. You end up with a new old animal. It's like they are born with Progeria. More research needs to be done before it becomes (if at all) a useful medical method to continue a species.
5. Does the Cupid Panda help H.O.B.O. saddled fanboys find love?
Cupid Pandas, no, Devil Pandas maybe.
Ewwww, no. Pandas, especially cupid pandas are totally anti-HOBO. For those who don't know, HOBO stands for Horrible Otaku Body Odor. If you have been to a convention I am sure you have smelled these guys who don't bathe. Ewww. No HOBO. This is a HOBO free zone!!
6. If you were with Kiefer Sutherland in a elevator what would you do?
I would probably end up just pretending he wasn't there. I always feel a bit odd about being around stars since they get so many crazed fans I am sure they like not being bugged everytime they are out in public. Now if the elevator got stuck, I would definitely chat with him and ask for an autograph!
7. Will you visit the San Diego zoo to see the pandas this year?
Are you lookin' at me?!
How I would love to. I am not sure if I would be able to. I would really REALLY love to go see the pandas. You know what is really sad is the fact I have never seen pandas in real life with my own eyes. I did look into the requirements to work with pandas. You have to have a PhD in Zoology in order to work with them. Bummer, no simple vet tech allowed. I hope someday I can go see the pandas.
zels hoseki: What cultures are you interested in (like such as, many anime fans are into japan ^_^) learning a lot about?
John's family even makes their own Sauerkraut!
I find Japanese culture very interesting since it is my heritage. Next to that I find Germans very interesting too. That would be my hubby's background. We do eat lots of traditional foods. I think one of the funny combos I like to eat includes brauts, sauerkraut, white rice and soy sauce. A nice ethic miss mash of foods. Oh and yes, I do own my own dirndl like the good German wife I am. Luckily I can fill out my dirndl! Many Japanese girls are, well, not blessed in the chest area. Just call me the St. Pauli Panda! What can I say, I am every guys dream! Cute panda with huge overflowing...beer steins.
enin: What would your bright happy site look like if it were themed dark and scary?
I am your worst nightmare!
We all know that nothing is more terrifying than something that is super cute. Fear the cuteness of the Panda!! I am not sure what my site would look like if themed dark and scary. I would probably only go for a black and white theme. I think that is as dark as this Panda's site would ever get. After all panda are black and white. Eats, shoots and leaves. Oh I just love it!
Mouse: 1) Do you ever chat online any more via YM or MSN Messenger?
I can't keep up!
Oh hardly ever. With my RA it has been very difficult to keep up the pace of messengers. The last time I was on a messenger was AIM a while back. I did get to chat with a few of you guys. That is when I was inspired by Lady K to do some fan art. I really don't spend much time on messengers anymore. Darn achy joints! Bah!
2) Do you have time to respond to emails?
Gah!
Ok Mister Mouse, I will email you. I have been really REALLY bad about responding to emails. You know you can always call me! Oh the guilt! I will try to be better about emails. Now this is really bad. My neighbors asked my best friend if she had seen me! I swear, I am going to be the talk of the neighborhood. I am sure that they all think that John has either killed me or is keeping me lock in a box under the floor boards. One day they were out walking their dog and John made me go outside and wave to them. Their response when seeing me was "You are alive!!" John told them: "See, I didn't kill her!". It's bad when the neighbors think I am dead. I really need to get out of the house more often. I really need to start communicating with people more. >_<;;
Doc G: In an issue of Scientific American, (which I borrowed from my teacher), They talk of the Loop Quantum Theory. What is it?
You have got to be kidding.
You are truly an evil person for asking me this question. In a very watered down vague definition would be the theory trying to unite quantum theory and relativity. Two great theories that aren't great together! The two theories aren't thought of as being compatible so this is a bit of a controversial theory. Other than that, I am not an expert on the subject so I am sure someone else could explain this in a much clearer, detailed way.
Mamma Vash: What would be the first thing a Panda president would want to do in office?
Take Washington by force!
Well, the very first thing is wonder why I am there. I am not a musician,actor or professional wrestler...so there really is no good reason for a Panda to be in office.
-What would be your favorite bedtime story, and snack?
zzzz
My favorite bedtime story...hmmm, I don't have one. Strange isn't it. But a favorite snack. That I do have! I love to have hot cocoa before bedtime. It always makes me feel all warm inside...literally!
Phew! That was a bunch of work. Hope you enjoyed my answers. Hopefully I didn't miss any questions. If I did I will pick them up tomorrow. I am off to get some rest. For some strange reason my RA decided to flare up in my ankles today. It sucks. Oh well. Before I go I wanted to thank you all for the well wishes for my friend. She is doing pretty well considering. Love you all and hope you are on your way to a great weekend!

I am sorry everyone.
Please don't be mad.
Sorry I haven't been by in awhile to your sites. Things got a bit wacky around here lately. One of my friends got into a multiple car accident while on her way to work. She was coming up to a line of cars waiting at a traffic light so she stopped. The person behind her didn't notice that she had stopped and slammed into the back of her car. Then to add insult to injury a few more cars got smashed up farther down the line because they didn't realize traffic had stopped.
Her car was hit hard enough that the front doors to her car were jammed shut. Needless to say she is not feeling very well. At least it isn't something really serious like broken bones. She was pretty sore after the accident and I am sure tomorrow she will feel even more sore. Basically her car is totaled. I can't believe the person behind her hit her so hard that her front doors were jammed! If everyone could send out some good thoughts for a speedy recovery to my friend Alisha I would appreciate it.
Maybe I should send Goku over to read her some stories!
To make up for me being gone from all of your sites I am going to open up the floor to questions. As you know, make them good ones since I always attach pictures with them. Let me see if you guys can ask me a question that I can't come up with a picture to go along with it. That is your challenge!
It is now almost 12:30am and I need to get some stuff taken care of online. I will chat with all of you soon. I love you all and hope everyone is in good spirits.

Must...keep...writing!!
Must...not...give...up!!
I have been plugging away with my writing. I am in the works trying to secure another interview. This one will rock everyones socks if the interviewee agrees to it. In fact, I think I will probably go all fan girl and pass out if I get this interview! I don't want to say who it is since I am afraid I will jinx myself. Just keep your fingers crossed for me.
I did make it to some of your sites but not everyones. I am sorry if I missed your site. I have been a bit pre-occupied as of late. I still have to get my panda butt in gear to get my hotel reservations for Sakura-con before the con. I will do that as soon as I post this. Heck, it is almost 1am right now and I am just now getting around to updating my blog! I normally do it at 9pm...I am so far behind! Sorry you guys, I owe you all something....how about a bishie break!
Goku!
Since this is a new month, we have an entire new month of things to celebrate! Don't forget that February is:
* American Heart Month
* An Affair to Remember Month
* Black History Month
* Canned Food Month
* Creative Romance Month
* Great American Pie Month
* National Cherry Month
* National Grapefruit Month
* National Weddings Month
3rd Week of February is International Flirting Week and February 1st is "Freedom Day" and "Serpent Day"! I don't think I need to remind you all why we need to celebrate "Serpent Day".
OWNED!!
Now you don't think I would forget to wish all those February birthdays a very happy day now do you?! I wish all you a very happy birthday and I hope all your birthday wishes come true. ^_^
Happy Birthday to all the February Babies!!
Now for your question of the day! Accidents. We all have them, some worse than others. What I would like to know is if you have ever been hurt in an accident? What happened and when did it happen?
Panda VS Gravity, guess who wins.
Needless to say I am fairly accident prone. I have all the battle scars to prove it. It comes from growing up such a tomboy. Nothing teaches you to ride a bike quickly like learning on gravel. You don't want to fall down on gravel so you learn to stay upright quickly.
One accident I remember was when I was playing with my cousins. I am the baby of the family and they thought it would be fun to "chase the baby". I was about 3 years old and needless to say, I tripped. I went head first into the corner of a glass coffee table. I got a pretty bad cut above my eye and had to get stitches. I still have a scar even now! Oh well.
Well, it is now almost 1:30am and I still need to get my hotel reservations taken care of. I really need to organize my time better. I love you all and hope your week is off to a great start.

If I told you, you wouldn't believe me.
I've been a bit busy...
Sorry I haven't been around myO very much lately. I am sure some of you noticed I posted the February anime convention schedule on the front page. Short month, short list. We are not really in the convention season. From here on out the lists should be getting longer and hopefully in more areas so people will stop complaining about how there are not cons in their areas. Heck, Washington state only has one convention a year! I should do an article about how to put together a convention. Bah.
I have been working on an interview and getting my ducks in a row for the upcoming convention season. I have to get all my paperwork in to get my passes and hotel reservations taken care of. I have my passes for Sakura con but no hotel yet. I have my hotel for AX, but no passes yet. I am so unorganized. Bah.
How about a bishie break?
Panda's make passes at bishies in glasses!
Your question of the day. What is your ethic background? Do you do any traditional celebrations/traditions?
Geisha-in-training Panda!
I am Japanese and I do lots of traditional things. One thing I did do when I was little was take dance lessons. As you can see above that is me performing a fan dance. My mom wanted me to learn tea ceremony too but I was such a tomboy I didn't want to do all this "stupid" stuff. Needless to say looking back at it I really wish I did. Maybe someday I will find someone who can teach me.
Now the Bizarre and Unusual Holiday for January 31st is really unusual. It is "Child Labor Day". I am not sure how to celebrate this day.
Quit playing! Get to work! Kids now a days are SO lazy!!
Well, I have to finish taking care of business. I will make the rounds to sites as soon as I am caught up. I miss you all and hope everyone is doing well. Love ya much!

I am ...
SORT OF PIRATE
according to the rebelsnail.net Pirate Assesment. How Pirate Are You?
Ok, so I am only "Sort of Pirate". What do you expect, I am a Panda after all!! Let's have a special pirate bishie break!
Shiver me timbers!
Your Bizarre and Unusual Holiday reminder for January 30 are "Escape Day" and "National Inane Answering Message Day"! I am going to celebrate by "escaping" this post. Love you all and I will see you around the site!

Busy Bee...er...Panda.
No time to write. To busy working on new interview. Very excited about this one. Even more excited about another interview request I am waiting to hear back on. I am just an excited Panda. I do have a sore throat now but my tummy is feeling 100% better! If it isn't one thing it's another. Go figure.
Must finish work, will visit sites after work is done. Love you all and don't forget to celebrate your Bizarre and Unusual Holidays today, they are "National Puzzle Day" and "National Cornchip Day"! Let's celebrate with a puzzle!!
Check this out!
Need to go, have fun with the link. I will see you all later!

I need a hug.
Oh my tummy!!
I am still feeling icky. I haven't done anything today but spend sometime on the OB in the "Riddles" thread. Those guys are too quick for me. By the time I finish writing up my answer to the riddles they have moved on with 3 more new riddles posted! I need speed typing lessons.
Since I haven't done much today I really don't have much to chat about. I did get confirmation that I have my press passes for Sakura-con this April. So if anyone (hint, hint Techno Cat) is in the Seattle area April 8-10 be sure to let me know so we can make plans to hook up. Anime cons are soooo much more fun when you have people to hang out with. Hopefully I will have my meds figured out by then. If not I am still going!! What can I say, I am an otaku.
Today's bishie break has been inspired by Chocobo Gene's "Wolf's Rain" great fan fic!
Kiba's eyes are gorgeous!
After reading the first couple of chapters I thought it's been a while since I had one of the Wolf's Rain guys as my bishie break!
Your question of the day is inspired by the Bizarre and Unusual Holiday for today. Rock on everyone, today is "National Kazoo Day"!! My question to you is: Have you ever played a kazoo?
Do You Kazoo?
I have played a kazoo. In fact the last time I did was at John's family reunion in Indiana last summer. We played...sang into...whatever the song "I am the very model of a modern major-general" from Pirates of Penzance. We so rocked those kazoos. ::strikes rock star pose::
Well, this update seems a bit...short. I guess take a cookie and go make the rounds to all your other friends. I am sorry if I didn't make it to your site today. When I am back to my usual Panda self I will definitely be by to visit. ^_^ I love you all and don't forget your cookie!
Take a handful, they are small.

I am not a criminal!
I don't feel so hot.
Get this. As you all know I have to get injections of a chemotherapy drug called Methotrexate. Well I get my injections every Tuesday. When I went to get my chemo I was told the drug I use is on manufacturer backorder. I use to work in vet med so I know this happens. I had 2 choices, I could go on to the Methotrexate pills (which make me feel really sick, upsets my tummy) or go to a compounding pharmacy to have it made. Even with my insurance it would cost me some big bucks. I have gone with the pills so I feel like I ate batteries yesterday. Ugh. So this is going to be a short update.
Be sure to check out my press release I just posted on the front page of theOtaku.
The Sky Blue movie poster.
Your question of the day is another one from your ill-tempered Panda Godmother. I am giving you the choice between two curses. You have to pick one of the two. No other choices except for the two I am giving you. So choose, but choose wisely! Would you rather...
Have your face digitally blurred like a criminal.
No, this IS my face!
OR
Have your range of motion limited to that of a G.I. Joe action figure?
Yo Joe!! You're my bishie for the day too!!
You have to pick one or the other. I would choose to have the range of motion of a G.I. Joe action figure since I already seem to be that way in real life. Sad I know. But with the RA I am not as flexible as I use to be. At least I would look like a criminal on TV all the time. LOL
Oh yeah, don't forget to celebrate the Bizarre and Unusual Holiday for today. It is "Punch the Clock Day"! I guess it is easy enough to celebrate if you have a job. Well, off to work for all of you.
My first job had one of these old things!
Well, I am off to check out the OB and make the rounds to sites. I love you all and hope the rest of the week is great for all of you. Later everyone!
