   Celebrity Sightings!

Darn paparrazi, can't hide from 'em! I really didn't do much today except spend some time on the OB, made the rounds to myO sites and sent Adam a press release for theOtaku. Other than that I have nothing of great interest to tell you guys. Because of that I will have to tell you about a phone call I got last night from one of my best friends Kevin. He told me that he had a "Hollywood Moment". He ended up in an elevator with Kiefer Sutherland! Kev is a fan of "24" and being in the elevator with the star of the show must have really exciting. For working in the entertainment industry Kev sure sounded star struck! He is so flippin' cute! Oh and so is Kiefer. ~_^ Speaking of cute I think it is time to do something for all the fan girls that visit my site- Bishie Break! Just kickin' back. Now my question for everyone is: Have you ever been up close to a celebrity? Who was it and what was the situation? I should email him. I generally don't get star stuck but I do have a time a simple email made me a bit giddy. John had done a flash animation for the band Celtic Frost's official website. Well we ended up getting an email forwarded from Celtic Frost from Dave Grohl (Nirvana drummer/Foo Fighter lead singer) that said the intro (John's work) was great and that he really liked it. At the time I was obsessed with Foo Fighters and basically went a bit "fan girl" when we got the email. It was just really cool to have someone that I was just listening to tell John his work rocks. That rocks. The Bizarre and Unusual Holiday for today is "Spouse's Day". I guess if you don't have a spouse it would be pretty tough to celebrate this day. I think I will celebrate this day by posting his picture on my site. ^_^ The pilot of my dreams. Well, I guess that is all for today.    Sakura Spectacular!

Well I am sure you have all noticed the new and improved cherry blossom layout of my site. This is not really a Valentine's Day layout but there are just so many cute panda pictures with hearts and stuff I just had to change the avi to the cupid panda. Mind you, I don't like Valentine's Day since it just makes those without someone special feel left out. Bah! Well, it is starting to feel like spring around here so I figured that I would do a nice sakura layout. ^_^ Behold the true nature of the Cupid Panda! John and I both don't like the holiday. My former boss put it like this- "I don't need someone telling me when to tell my wife I love her". He always buys his wife a big flower arrangement on Halloween, which is his favorite holiday. Too funny huh. I think that just rocks. Anywho, let's have a bishie break! They match my new layout! My question of the day for everyone is this- How do you deal with online flamers? Do they make your blood boil? Do you just ignore them? Do you flame back? What do you do with those meanies online? Panda flame someone? Never! What can I say, I don't like flamers but I do not flame back. I usually end up ranting about someone who is flaming me in my blog. I think people who have these "I can do anything" attitudes online are pathetic. The only way they can assert themselves is by trying to make others feel bad. I am who I am. I don't change the way I am online from what I am like in real life. I am what I am. Unfortunately for me, because of my nature, sometimes I really do take comments to heart. I really don't like seeing people upset. "Why can't we all just get along!?!" Oh your Bizarre and Unusual Holiday reminder for today is "Compliment Day". So for today I want to tell all of you that you rock! Well, I guess that is about it for today. I am off to make myself a new spring time banner and avi for the OB.    I am back!!

And now with a new and improved longer lasting fresh Panda scent! I am feeling sooooo much better than I had been the past few weeks. I really do appreciate all your well wishes and happy thoughts. I really did miss visiting with all of you. It feels funny not to be here reading blogs and commenting. I feel so far behind. I am sorry I have been so neglectful. I promise to make the rounds to all your sites soon. It might take me a while but I will make it! I love you guys so much, your friendship though this tough spell has kept me going. You guys rock my panda socks! In fact... Here are the socks of which I speak! Moving on...January 25th's Bizarre and Unusual Holiday is "Opposite Day". To celebrate I am going to have a very special bishie break for everyone! After all, how can anyone not fall in love with such a bishonen guy? Rock Lee, whatta hottie! Check out that winning smile! Great eyebrows! Sexy haircut! You would have to be crazy not to swoon over him!! Ok, I am done celebrating the holiday. ::shudders:: Rock Lee...scary, just plain scary. He could probably use those eyebrows of his as deadly weapons!! Now for your long anticipated question of the day!! Let me set up the situation for you. You have been cursed by an evil Panda. Luckily the Panda is not completely without a heart so she gives you a choice between two evils. You must choose one of the two. The question I pose to all of you is this...what would you choose and why did you choose that option? He da man! Option 1: Every time you walk down a sidewalk a 70's funky "Waaca Chuu Wacca" pimp soundtrack plays. OR Never underestimate the power of the dark side! Option 2: Every time you walk into a room the "Imperial March" aka Darth Vader's theme music plays. Keep in mind all the different situations in which the soundtrack you have decided upon will cause you grief. Such as walking in late to work/class/church or walking the dog. Which evil soundtrack will you choose?! To answer my own question I took many things into consideration. I could just stay off of sidewalks but I could not NOT enter rooms. I would choose the 70's pimp music. I could strut down the sidewalk like da pimpin' Panda I am!! Of course, the Darth Vader music is uber cool. We really shouldn't underestimate the power of the dark side after all. Imagine going to some Star Wars conventions with your theme music. You would be the coolest cosplayer there! Oh what horror to have to decide! I stick with my pimp music. Well, I am off to check out the OL and see what kind of mayhem is afoot there.    Just a bit of fun.

I've been feeling blah lately so I wanted to stop by and let you guys know that I am still alive and starting to feel better. My latest blood work showed that my white blood cell count is just a hair below the normal range. Hooray! I am on the mend!    Bah.

Is it time for my medicine again? Sorry I haven't been around myO lately. I've basically been doing the bare bones minimum online the past few days. Keeping up on the art and greetings and modding the OL. After that I am all pooped out. It is now 3:44am on the 20th and I am still awake since my RA is flaring up. I feel completely pooped but can't sleep since I am uncomfortable. Bah. I need to go to the doctor later today to get more blood drawn for lab work. I swear, they should just put me on payroll at the hospital! LOL I love you all and hope everyone is feeling good. Take care of yourselves and I hope to feel better soon so I can spend more time visiting with everyone. ::huggles::

   Time for the A to your Q!

Hi all, I am feeling a bit better today! Hooray! I got a call from my Rheumatologist and he told my that my White Blood Cell count was low. That can happen with chemo. So I just have to be extra careful not to get sick. The reason it happens is because chemo doesn't make a difference between fast growing good cells and the bad ones. Needless to say I have been feeling quite a bit of fatigue. I guess I have another reason to feel so icky. With my luck I have Felty's Syndrome. Felty's only happens in 1% of people with RA and usually are people over 50! I know for sure I have 2 of the 3 clinical signs to diagnose it...RA and low white cell count. The only other thing I need is an enlarged spleen! I have to go in for an appointment Friday. I guess I will find out then. I swear, I am feeling geriatric. I feel like I already need a nap. ~_~ zzzzz Ok, before I poop out let's get to the questions! hEvN: Do you like chocolate cake? Pandas love cake! Yes, too much, that is why I am shaped like a giant panda. >_<;; In fact, at my wedding one of my cakes was a German Chocolate Cake. My wedding had a lot of cakes. White 3 tiered cake and 3 full sheet cakes- German Chocolate, Carrot and Lemon. Now that was a bit off topic...yes, I love chocolate cake. Every time I see Mimmi-chan's avi I just want to eat chocolate cake!! Cake...yummy. SomeGuy: What is your opinion of non-Japanese people who speak/try to speak to you in Japanese? Are you amused in a good way, amused in that the person is being so silly/dorky, or are you mostly impartial to the whole thing? Some people have a grasp on Japanese like the Japanese have of English. I like it when people who are honestly learning pratice on me. I do not like it when someone is using Japanese as a way to be more "Otaku" than everyone else. You see these type of people at cons, using Japanese just to be better than everyone else. One time on an anime message board a girl tried to flame me in Japanese. I had my Japanese friends look at it and it was a great laugh fest. Basically it looked like she found words in a Japanese/English dictionary and tried to make them into sentences. I think she was trying to be more Japanese than me. O_o;; Doc G: Have you ever seen a bird up close? And what kind of bird? Just a little birdie posing for a picture! Oh yes, too close at times. Ducks, geese, owls, hawks, buggies, parrots, finches...all kinds of birds. I use to work in the one and only veterinary clinic in my hometown that worked with exotic animals and birds. I actually got bit really bad by an African Grey once, that darn bird drew blood on me! I still have a scar on my finger from that!! My favorite birds to work with were the hawks and owls. They were always interesting since they were wild. We would have them brought into the clinic by the Fish and Wildlife Rangers. The above picture is a hawk that was brought into the clinic after it was injured. Nice fancy green towel huh. LOL That arm belongs to my old boss Dr. Maier. I should dig out some more pictures of the cool animals I got to work with. zels hoseki: What do you like to do, when your not on the internet? Brynner is always willing to hang with me. Live a life on the high seas of course! Marauding and looting every town I....er, I mean I enjoy reading manga, drawing fan art and watching anime! When I am not online I usually play with my pets or visit with friends and family. Not a really exciting life really. The most excitement in my life comes when I have an anime con to go too. ^_^ Techno Cat: Which is worse, 2 feet of snow or 2 feet of rain? I am so glad they put a sign up! I would say 2 feet of rain. I have dealt with 2 feet of snow and it at least doesn't come into your house and ruin everything. You can just shovel it away. 2 feet of rain water would definitely be worse to deal with! Yami Loni: How do you take your hot cocoa? Marshmallows or no? I love hot cocoa! I love hot cocoa! I very rarely have marshmallows around unfortunately. If I have them, I definitely love them in my cocoa! In the winter I have a cup of hot cocoa every night as a treat. One thing John and I love to do is turn off all the lights at night in house and open up our front blinds and watch the snow fall while drinking hot cocoa. It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. ^_^ Mimmi: What kind of treatments would you go for in a spa? Warm stone massage! Anything and everything relaxing. I have never had one of those hot stone massages so I would love to try that. I am sure that feels nice and toasty. I would like a slice of your avi too. That cake looks good. A nice massage and chocolate cake....that sounds like heaven! Crucifix: Links to people's fan art. Just a note, right now they are doing some maintenance on the wallpaper sections so the links are off. They should be back shortly. Sw33tZ: What do you like most bout cold weather? What the least? Has anyone seen my sled? I love snuggling up on the couch with a mug of cocoa and a warm blanket while wearing my flannel panda jammies and furry boot slippers. If it is snowing I love watching that, otherwise I will be reading manga. What I like the least is that the cold weather makes my arthritis flare up and I get really sore. enin: Do you have any clothing obsessions? Did I ever tell you that I am not afraid of heights? Oh boy do I ever have a clothing obession. When shopping with my friends there is one thing they all know I will buy....Gail will be buying shoes ...or more specifically, several pairs of them. I love boots, I love heels, tall heels. I would so wear those boots above. I showed this piccy to John and he asked me if I already have a pair of those. I do not! The platform on the boots I do own are 6 inches and the heel is 8! This is taller than that! Hey, I am short, I need all the help I can get. LOL KitsuneTsuki: Do I look fat in this? No, of course not! Mamma Vash: If you were a cereal, which one would you be (ie Capn Crunch etc)? Start your day the Panda way! I would definitely be Panda Puffs. A portion of the sales goes towards saving wildlife. No artificial additives or preservatives, not genetically engineered, USDA Organic and Gluten free!! The box has all kinds of fun panda facts on it too. It's kinda like peanut butter flavored Kix cereal. It's pretty good, and it's panda approved! Well, once again it was fun answering your questions.    It's oh so cold outside!

It's a winter wonderland! I am having a bit of a rough time right now so no update tonight. I promise to get to the guestbook, PMs and comments as soon as I am feeling better. I just wanted to stop by to let you know that I am ok, I am just a bit sore. No worries okay, I just need to get some rest...and a new body...but I think I will only be able to get rest right now.    Panda Art Completed!!

Plushies so rock! I have completed my fan art piece of Kei-chan's comic, Plushies! As the old saying goes, "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery". Any comic that has Shin getting glomp eaten rocks my panda socks!! I am also submitting it to the fan art section of theO since it's been a while since I did any art. I hadn't felt inspired in a while and while I was chatting with Kei on AIM I was hit with inspiration. She is my muse. The background is done in "Letter box" or "Wide Screen" so it frames the focus of the piece which is the character. I also used a gray color for the piece giving it a "pencil" look to it. Please go to vote on this piece and all my other pieces of fan art. Froot Loops! What can I say, I love sugary cereal. I had a little bowl of Froot Loops and it was tasty! As for a drink I had a glass of water when taking my medication! Nothing like Froot Loops and prescription medication to make your day complete! Well, I guess that is about it. I am not feeling very well but I hope to make it by to visit everyone really soon.    Are you ready to rummmmmble?!

I know I need to take this advice but... Ok, first off I need to tell those of you whom I chatted with today on AIM that I had a very enjoyable time. Thanks to super sexy Kei-chan I have been inspired to draw! Soon you shall all see my fine piece of art!! Perhaps as soon at later today! I had planned on firing up my rant engine today but after I thought about it, I am not even going to bother ranting. It would waste my time and yours. Ok, Let's go ahead and have a nice bishie break! Oh so spunky Saizo! Who says a pig can't be my bishie of the day?! I think he is so flippin' cute! Unlike Ryouga in Ranma 1/2, Saizo won't get lost! I like a little piggy who can find his way home. ^_^ Now, your question of the day. Have you ever tried to do someone a favor only to have them angry at you for doing it? Sometimes I feel like such a "pawn". One time that really sticks in my mind is when my friend and her boyfriend had a big fight. I tried to cheer him up and he just exploded at me and basically told me off. I was trying to cheer him up since I knew he felt really bad and only wanted to help, he saw it as meddling. I basically left in tears. One of my other friends caught me before I made it to my car (this was in high school) and he made me come sit in his truck and tell him why I was crying. I think that was the sweetest thing anyone could have done for me at that moment. He had these little toy keychains and put on a little play with them to cheer me up. By the time I got out of his truck I was giggling. I hate it when the best of intentions are mistaken and turn into a bad situation. I think that is the worst. Sometimes it's just better not to get out of bed. Now you Bizarre and Unusual Holiday reminder is really bizarre and unusual...there isn't one for today or tomorrow. I guess it is carry over from yesterday's "National Do Nothing Day". It's the holiday that keeps on giving! Well, I am off to work on a drawing.    Pan-da!, Pan-da! Pan-

golin? I figured I would give the Pangolin a chance in the spotlight. What a handsome fellow. Sad that they are even more rare than pandas. Oh bother. Poor animals who are endangered. It's because of stupid people. Stupid people who think killing endangered animals is cool. Destroying their habitat. Stupid people so do not rock. I would love to see the animals take back what is theirs. OWNED! Ok, I am in a bit of a mood. I am still hurting and my meds are not working. It's flippin' freezing out side and because of that I am really achy. I try not to let it get to me, but it is, I am just so tired. I am also coming down with a cold I think. I have lost my voice. There goes my chance to get that record contract. :P I did muster up enough energy to start a thread in the OL, the first thread I have started in there in ages. I think it's a pretty good one. The Panda Gaara is an amazing fan art by an artist named frostious. How can you not love Gaara dressed like that! I have black furry Steve Madden boot slippers like those too! In fact, I am wearing them right now. This art and my slippers rock. ^_^ Now your question of the day. When eating animal shaped food, whether it be a chocolate easter bunny, animal crackers or cookies...Peeps...how do you eat them? Head first? Body first? Or do you not have any particular method? I have mixed emotions about "eating" endanged species. lol I eat my "animals" head first. I just don't want them "looking" at me while I consume them. LOL Shoot, now I am craving those pink and white animal cookies. You know, the ones with the multi-colored sprinkles. Arrgh, this isn't going to help my diet! January 15th's Bizarre and Unusual Holiday is "National Nothing Day"! Yeah for Nothing! I am going to do nothing to celebrate this holiday! On that note, I am off to do nothing.
