   Hooray!

Thank you for the visits!!

Well, yet another milestone here on myO thanks to you guys! Thanks for visiting my site everyday and reading my ramblings. You guys are such great friends. I love you all. ::bear hugs everyone:: I appreciate you guys so much I actually did my very first colored pencil art piece. What was sad was those were the only colors I could find around the house! I didn't even have black so I had to just use a regular pencil to color my panda! LOL Oh well. Hope you guys like my panda piccy. ^_^

I am sure you have also noticed the dancing panda at the top. The panda is groovin' with some bamboo. Too cute huh. ^_^

Well, John finally made it home at 10:30 am. Yes, he was at work the entire time trying to get all the paperwork and stuff done. Needless to say he came home and crashed. Poor guy. After this he will have more time off but still, I don't think I could stay up all night and work. If it were me I would be found curled up in the corner sleeping soundly. :P

Ok, now back to your regularly scheduled bishie break!

They are so cute!

Now I can't think of a really good question to ask you guys so this is the best I could come up with right now. Every town/state/region has a "slogan". What is the one for your hometown/state/area/whatever's slogan?

My hometown. Moses Lake, is the "Desert Oasis". At least that is what it says on our sign as you enter town. Washington state is the "Evergreen State". Of course if you were to look at eastern Washington where I live that isn't true. It is really dry here. The only trees are the ones you buy at the nursery and plant yourself. It is actually pretty darn brown over here on this side of the state. ::watches tumbleweed rolls by::

Lind is about 45 minutes away from my hometown!

Yeah, like I have said before, I live in the sticks. Lind has an annual Combine Demolition Derby like the sign above advertises. Nothing like watching a bunch of crazy farm boys drive around in farm equipment trying to bash the heck out of each other.I guess when you don't have a lot of entertainment you have to make your own fun. Bunch of crazy hillbillies....oh, and yes, my brother does go to that Combine Derby every year. ::rolls eyes:: No, I do not go. I would much rather stay at home and watch anime or read manga.

I guess that is about it for tonight. I love you all and thanks again for all the visits. I am off to visit sites I didn't make it to already! Take care!

   Beware of the fluffy cute...

Chinchilla!!

Today was a busy day. I went into work with John today and got a bunch of stuff done. He is still at work right now. He is hopefully going to make it back before 2am. Ugh. October is the end of the year for businesses so they have to do all this crazy paperwork and inventory stuff. Since John is the store manager he has to make sure everything is done. So that means he has been working everyday for the past week and probably won't have a day off until November. Poor John.

Today we are having a break from my normal bishie break since I had a special request.

Just for John.

He has a thing for cute busty anime redheads...Mink, Lirin, female Ranma...so just for him I am skipping my normal bishie break for this piccy of Mink and Luffa. Since I have posted many a picture from Gravitation I figured turn about is fair, thus the pic for today.

Well, question time. Do you believe in love at first sight or is it just lust at first site? How about soul mates?

I believe in love at first site. There is also lust at first site too. If you would have asked me this question back when I was younger I would have told you that both love at first site and soul mates were just fairy tales. That neither existed. I have always believed lust at first site. That all changed when I first met John. When I first saw John I knew he was the one for me. I knew it wasn't lust at first site, it felt different, like I had known him for years and it was comfortable. Something about him told me deep inside that he was the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with. This of course goes along with my belief in soul mates. John is my soul mate. I really do feel like we were meant to be together.

I just love PMBQ's cupid panda...so cute, yet dangerous!

I guess that is about it for today. I hope everyone had a great weekend and it continues on to be a great week. I love you all!

   Just a quick note.

I made it back from my uncle's funeral and it was beautiful. I did great through the entire service until the very end when everyone walked up front to pay their respects to my aunt and cousins. As soon as I gave my aunt a hug I started crying. My cousins were doing great. I was just a mess when I gave them their hugs. They were being so strong. My aunt gave me some flowers that were a part of the ceremony. It was emotionally difficult, but I am very happy that I got to go and have that closure.

I made it to a few of your sites and will make the rest tomorrow after I get a good nights rest. ^_^

   Splish! Splash!

Panda's taking a bath!

I have to keep my update short since I have to get up early in the morning. My parent's are coming by to pick me up to go to my uncle's funeral tomorrow morning in Seattle really early. John has to work so I am car pooling with my folks. It will be nice to be able to have this final goodbye.

I was thinking that everyone seems a bit stressed lately. Tests at school, extra homework or projects, family and friends giving stress and even stresses from normal activities such as other members on theOtaku. What always made me feel better, and still does, is a nice hot bubble bath. So my post is a nice hot e-bubble bath to warm all of you to the core and make your souls feel better.

Let's begin with my favorite bishie in the bath! Woo Hoo!

Now, how can this NOT make a bishie lover feel better?!

My question is of course going to deal with taking a bath. My question has a couple of separate parts to it.

-When was the last time you took a bath? Did it have bubbles?
-What was your favorite bath toy? Did you have a rubber ducky?
-Have you ever had a bath with someone of the opposite gender? Was it a family member or someone else?

Now to answer my own questions:

-About an hour ago. Yes, I used a scent called Warm Vanilla Sugar made by Bath and Body Works. It just makes me think of warm cookies. Very soothing and comforting. It just makes me happy. ^_^
-My favorite bath toy was a panda. Go figure. I never had a rubber ducky until I was in college and a girlfriend gave me a care package with one in it.
-Yes I have. When I was little I think I have taken a bath with all the members of my immediate family. As for anyone else...only my hubby. ::blushes::

Who needs a rubber ducky when you got pandas!

Well, I guess that is about it. I will try to make the rounds and visit everyone but I am not sure how much time the funeral is going to take and how much family stuff I have to take care of. If I don't make it know that I am thinking of you all and hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Love you all!

   KNOCK! KNOCK!

Did you hear that knocking?!?!

I am done pouting now. I got my appointment rescheduled for next week. I still can't believe I zoned it out. Sheesh. I really am a loon. I am determined to get my life back on track and organized again! Oh that reminds me, I have something to share with you guys!

My mom told me something that I thought was kind of interesting. She said on the night my uncle (her brother) past away she was at home with her sister-in-law watching television. My dad had run to town to pick up some stuff. My parents live about 10 miles from town and the nearest neighbor is 2 miles away. They live out in the country and it's pretty quiet.

Well around 7:30pm there was a couple of firm knocks at the door. My aunt told my mom she better check who it is before she opens the door. So my mom looked out the window near the front door and no one was there. The dog hadn't barked either which was strange since whenever anyone shows up he barks. My mom went to the back of the house and found the dog sleeping on the back porch so it wasn't him wagging his tail causing it to hit the front door or anything.

A little while after that my aunt called and said my uncle had passed away at about 7:30 that night. My mom thinks maybe it was her brother coming to say goodbye to her. ::shivers:: Weird huh. If it were just my mom I would have thought the knocking was just imagined, but my aunt was there too and she heard it. Just plain weird.

I think it is time for a bishie break!

I just love the fall.

I used the above piccy to make a greeting card and wallpaper. So everyone go send the card and download the wallpaper. I think it has a very nice fall feel to it. ^_^

Now for the question of the day. Have you ever had a "ghostly" experience?

I haven't had a ghostly experience before. I love watching all those tv shows with ghost stories. I really want to spend the night in a haunted house. I think it would be a kick in the pants. Anyone willing to go with me?

Boo!

Well, I guess that is about it. I should go make the rounds since I have been really bad about visiting everyone. Thanks again for tagging along with me for this wacky week. Love ya all.

I have completely lost my mind!!

I completely zoned out going to my Rheumatologist today. In fact I didn't realize it until John asked me tonight when my appointment was going to be. I had an appointment today and I completely forgot to go! I really need to see him since my arthritis is getting worse. I really screwed up today. I can't believe I forgot. ::bashes head into wall::

I am going off to pout now.

   ii Cuidado !!

LLAMA!!

Now if you know where that obscure quote comes from you get a gold star for today. ^_^

Today has been a better day than yesterday. Each day seems to get better. My aunt (my dad's sister) from California flew up here and is staying with my parents. It's nice to have her here since she is helping my mom out and is keeping her (my mom) busy so she isn't so down in the dumps about her brother passing away. My aunt is basically a 60 year old version of me. I basically look at her and know exactly how I am going to be at that age. I really do take after my dad's side of the family. I truly am a Shimura. We went out to dinner and had some yummy Mexican food!

I spoke with my mom last night for quite a while today and she is still very sad about her brother, but she knows he is out of pain and that is much better than the terrible pain he was in during his last weeks. It's been tough, but my family is a bunch of survivors...very little can keep us down. A perfect example of this is my aunt, the wife of my uncle who just past away. She is from Hiroshima. During WW2 she was with her family visiting relatives when the bomb was dropped. Talk about the best timing for a family vacation! Lost everything but never gave up hope. I am sure she will be ok through this difficult time.

I am still in a bit of a dark mood, but it is slowly getting better. Speaking of dark...

Fuma, may be dark but his normal personality is definitely not brooding.

Age and friendship. I was thinking about this today when thinking about my age difference with many of you. Many people have very strong opinions on age and dating...but what about age and friendship? Do you feel that there are/should be/aren't any restrictions on age differences with friends? Are most of your friends the same age or do you have many friends of many different ages?

I feel friendship has no age limit. When I was working with senior citizens I became friends with many of them. One named Gladys was 102! She was a riot! She would talk about some of the other seniors as "kids". I have always had many friends who were older than me. My best friend Jen is 5 years older than me and we get along great. I also get along great with her kids, Age to me doesn't matter if you have similar hobbies, activities and sense of humor. Definitely sense of humor!

You're how old?!?

I guess that is about it. The only thing I can think of that I didn't cover in this post is the random llama picture. I just though he was kinda cute. In a town just an hour away from my hometown was a llama who was positively tested for rabies. For those of you who don't know, rabies is transmitted via bodily fluids. Llamas spit when they get upset.

Rabid Llama + Spitting = Danger!

Well, not that dangerous unless you get some spit into your system. Which would be really nasty. Llama spit...ewww!! Now I bet you are wondering where I am going with this. Nowhere. Just something totally random I thought I would share.

Now, go off and visit your other friends on their myO sites. I want to make sure all of you stop by and visit my friend Kieri Norou. She is the one I introduced to the site this past weekend! I am very happy you are here Kieri Norou!! Now everyone stop reading my ramblings and get over to her site...NOW!

I love you all and wish you much happiness and a day free of rabid spitting llamas.

What a crazy rollercoaster ride it's been!

Feels like my world gets turned upside down!

Very first thing I want to do is thank all of you for all your kind words, PMs and calls. I really do appreciate your support. My life has been a bit of a roller coaster ride as of late. Right now I just feel the need to ramble a bit. I don't feel like talking too much about the sad stuff since I have been getting enough of that with the family. In the end I feel that my uncle passing on is actually the best thing. He wasn't eatting, weighed less than 80 lbs and only took pain meds. Now he is out of pain and for that I am glad he finally finished his battle with cancer. Death is a part of life.

Now one of the cool things I wanted to tell you guys about was this weekend I introduced an anime fan to theOtaku.com site. Her name is Margaret and I really hope she opens up an account so she can join our happy group of crazy otakus here. ^_^ So Margaret if you are reading this hurry up and open your account!! ^_^ She's been reading the Inu Yasha mangas and does some killer Fushigi Yugi fan art. Her art is far and away much better than mine. ^_^

Hmm, speaking of Fushigi Yugi I think it is time for a bishie break!

Smiling bishie goodness, just makes you happy huh. ^_^

Now with all the recent events of my life I have once again had my feeling reinforced that the group of friends I have here on theOtaku are a great group of online friends. Ups and down, rants and raves...you guys put up with the craziness which is my life. I really do appreciate your support and friendship. If I could I would give each and every one of you the biggest panda bear hug ever! You can even ask Mamma Vash, if I ever do meet you in person I WILL give you a big panda bear hug! ^_^

Now let us move on to my question of the day!

Sometime you need a boost from a friend.

Some friends are there for you when you need help, while others seem to just "walk on by" when you need a hand. My question to you is this. When you really need a friend and one of your friends just seems to "walk on by" does that person stay your friend or does it change your friendship?

Sometimes a friend will help you out or they will just walk on by.

I have been very fortunate that my core group of friends have been with me through all the ups and downs of my life. I feel I am the same way with them. We will go visit each other when we are feeling down and always have a shoulder to cry on when we need it. I truly believe that friends should stick with you in the bad times and not just for the fun times. I think that if I really needed the support of one of my friends and they ignored me it would change our friendship. I would feel hurt and I would have to talk to them about how I felt.

Well, I guess I have rambled long enough. I am off to try to make the rounds to everyone's sites. Thanks again for being my shoulder to cry on. You guys are the best and I love you all. ^_^

   Sorry again...

Last night after I got back home and went to bed I got a phone call from my dad. My uncle, the one I went to visit 2 weeks ago who has cancer, he past away. ;_;

I know they said he only had a few months left to live but he only made it 2 weeks. I just feel awful for my aunt and cousins.

I need to take care of some family stuff so I will update and visit everyone when I get done with that. I miss you all and thanks for all your support.
