Don't be a fall down drunk!!
Drinking makes you look silly!
My tummy has been really upset today from my medications. ::gurgle, gurgle:: No, not because I am like the panda in the pictures, I have not been drinking. I really hate having an upset stomach from taking medication. It really sucks. I haven't had much time online today. I did spend the day reading Saiyuki and Naruto. It was a wonderful way to spend the day. I will probably work on some new fan art. I haven't done anything in a while and I feel the need to draw. I'll let you know when I post them.
Adam reposted my first game tester article so if you guys get some spare time be sure to stop by and vote on my articles. I put a link up in myO intro. Thanks all. I really need to get back on the ball and get some writing done. I just feel like drawing right now. I guess I should do what I feel inspired to do. Thus, art is first on the list!
Time for a bishie break!
Pandas make passes at bishies in glasses!
I am sure you can guess that my question of the day deals with drinking. What do you think about drinking? Have you ever been drunk? Have you ever been sick from drinking?
I do not have a problem with responsible adults drinking alcohol. I hate people who aren't responsible and drink and drive and/or are fall down drunks. Shame on them. Yes I have been tipsy but I have never been sick. I very rarely drink anyways. Usually a margarita when having Mexican food. If I go out with friends we always have a driver who is sober and we buy that person all the non-alcoholic drinks and snacks they want. Usually that is me and that is why I am such a chubby panda! Better chubby and safe than in jail for drinking and driving!!
I have a terrible hangover!!
DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!
I hope you are all having a great week. I plan on visiting sites and the OB when I finish up with this post. Take care of yourselves and be sure to take a soda pop with you when you leave.
This drink is panda approved!
Love ya all and see you around the site!

Siblings.
MOM!! HE'S TOUCHING ME!!!
What a crazy day. I haven't had much time to do anything. It's it weird how when you are busy it seems like you don't get to do anything? Well at least anything fun. I finished up a ton of chores and it feels great to get that all out of the way. Hooray! I think after I finish my update I will have some spare time to make it to all the sites I missed earlier. Sorry if I haven't made it to your site yet!
I found out tonight that my dad's little sister is going to come to Washington for a visit. Of the Shimura family we are it. If my brother doesn't have kids it will be the end of our family line. Since Kinda sad. My dad did have an older brother but during WWII my dad's family was interned in a camp and he died. For those of you who don't know. During WWII on the west coast of the United States anyone who was, I believe 1/8 Japanese or more, were taken from their homes and placed in government control camps. My grandparents, dad, aunt and uncle were moved from central Washington state to California then to Wyoming. It was in Wyoming my uncle died. It's sad, I will never know him except through a few stories my dad would tell me and even fewer pictures. My grandparents never talked about their time in the camp. My grandpa would just get mad and my grandma sad.
It's really weird to think about that happening to my family. Can you imagine being taken from your home and being forced to moved just because of your race? I know what happened to the Jewish people in Nazi Germany was far worse, but this happened to my family which makes it hurt even more. What is weird but if this were to happen now, not that it would, John would have to go to the camp with me since he is married to me. My dad said he remembers a few non-Japanese people in the camp because they were married to the "enemy".
Sorry, I kinda went off on a tangent there. I guess what I was getting at is my aunt is coming up from California for a visit. I am really excited about it. I love her, she is such a kick in the pants. Everyone that knows my aunt says I am going just like her. She is always happy and loves to laugh. I think I can take that as a compliment! ^_^
Let's take time for a special sibling bishie break!
Siblings, the longest relationship you will have with another person.
My question of the day is about siblings. Do you have siblings? How many brothers and sisters do you have? Where do you fall in place...oldest, youngest or forgotten middle child? Or are you going it solo as an only child?
I have only one older brother. His name is Hiroshi. He is 2 years older than me. We have always been friends. In school all of his friends were like extra older brothers and the would all watch out for me. It was great. Even now as adults we can still have fun like kids. Usually we end up teasing each other or play fighting. I think my parents are still waiting for us to grow out of this "stage" of our childhood. :P
I feel very fortunate that we get along so well. I really do believe that the relationship you have with your siblings will be the longest one you will ever have. Friends come and go. Parents, because of age will pass away...but your siblings who are close to you in age will live the closest to your life span. No matter what, you will always be family and that to me is very comforting.
See, we can get along!
I guess that is about it for my ramblings to today. I hope you week is off to a great start. Thanks for visiting and I love ya all!

I'm so stressed out!
I'm climbing the walls!
Thanks for all the responses everyone. I hope you all had fun visiting each other. ^_^
Unfortunately for me it looks like everyone likes to visit sites that have entertaining and interesting posts. Since I really didn't do much today I don't have much to talk about. What am I going to do?! I feel so much pressure to come up with something witty to say!! Oh the extreme stress of it all!!
::time passes::
Oh! I did make 3 new wallpapers and I think I am going to make a few new greeting cards after I post this. ::notices everyone asleep:: Bother. Sorry guys, today's update is a bit of a snoozer. I guess this is as good as it gets. Other than the wallpapers I've just been kickin' back and relaxing.
Speaking of relaxing...
Time for a relaxing bishie break!
My question of the day is one inspired by all the crazy weather we have been having here in the US. Here's the set up. You find yourself caught in some sort of natural disaster. I will leave it up to you as to what kind of disaster...hurricane, tornado, flood, earthquake...whatever. You have time to grab one item to take with you. Your pets and family are all safe. So what one item would you take with you?
I would take my laptop. I have so many pictures, information, fan art and my writing in my laptop that I would hate to be without it. Other things like movies and clothes can be replaced but the information in my computer would be very difficult (if not impossible) to replace.
How could I go on living without pictures like this!
Whatta good dog!
Not my dog but isn't it a great piccy!
I hope you all had a great weekend and it continues on to be an even better week. I love you all and I will be by all your sites for a visit soon. Later kids!

It's good to have friends.
Will you be my friend?
I was thinking of something today. Yes, I know, me thinking...that's got to be a bad thing. Since there are so many of us on theOtaku sometimes we end up in a bit of a rut. We go to visit the same friends everyday. Today I though we could try a little experiment. Here is my idea...
Go visit your friend's friends!
What I figure is this. If you are friends with someone and there is someone else who has the same friend, chances are you will like each other. At least you have one thing in common already...a mutual friend...me!
All you have to do is go visit the person who left a comment in my blog right before you. If you are the lucky first person, go visit the last response in my blog for yesterday. It might be someone you already know, it might be a new friend. You never know, you might find a great new blog to add to your list of friends! ^_^
Now, let's take a moment for a bishie break!
^_^
Now for your question of the day. What about a person's myO makes you come back to visit? Is it because they have great posts? Interesting quizzes? Great site layout? What is it that keeps you coming back to their site?
For me it is usually interesting posts. Usually people who have interesting posts have great sites. I know if I visit that site there will be something interesting to read. As time goes on I feel like I get to know the author and we end up developing a nice friendship. I like people who have something to say. ^_^
myO is like a big happy family!
Today's post is not as long as yesterday but I figured you guys need a break once in a while from my rambling nature. Take care and hope you are all having a great day! Love ya all!

It's time for a change!
Happy October Birthdays!!
See, I didn't forget the October birthdays! I wish everyone with an October birthday the best and may all your wishes come true! ::huggles:: I also wanted to thank all of you for your friendship. I feel much better after getting some rest and relaxation. I drooled over my new Saiyuki art books and was overwhelmed by an urge to change myO site. I am sure you have probably noticed the is a bit of a change. Not too much, but just a little something different to look at. ^_^
I also just submitted a brand new piece of fan art. No, it is not a screen capture of some anime with the subtitles clearly visible at the bottom. That would require some true "talent". :P It's just an original character I made up. It is a little anime-style girl in a kimono holding a paddle with a cute little panda on it. No, it is not a paddle to spank a panda with. It's a japanese game. I just figured a cute little panda on it would be fun. Hope you like her, I think she is kinda cute. Go vote on my art and let me know what you think of my latest creation!
I am not sure if you guys have seen it on the news but Mt. St. Helens in my home state of Washington erupted...again. May 18, 1980 it really blew up and sent ash all over the place. I believe 57 people died and things were just a mess. I know this was probably before many of you guys were even born! I remember watching the ash fall from the sky like snow. I should post some pictures from back then. I have pictures of the guys at my dad's work (Japan Airlines Pilot Training Facility) shoveling ash off the airplanes. Needless to say, there wasn't going to be any flight training for a while after that!
This latest eruption is really not that big of a deal. I guess they only have a 3 mile area around St. Helens blocked off. Most of the ash is on it's way to Portland, Oregon. So no need to worry about me! It seems as of late the planet hates the US. Hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and erupting volcanoes! It's the end of the world!! Oh well. Let's just have a bishie break.
Fall weather makes me want to jump in a big pile of bishies...er...leaves!
I can't believe it is already October! This year really has flown by! Fall is absolutely my favorite time of the year. The weather is warm during the day and cool at night. The leaves are changing colors and the holidays are just around the corner. Love it, absolutely love the fall.
My question for the day is an easy one- what is your favorite season?
In the spirit of Halloween coming up I want to show case a beautiful piece of fan art.
Do I make a super sexy witch or what! ::insert whistles and cat calls here::
This was done by my dear friend blackwings. I encourage everyone to her site and vote on the wonderful true-to-life depiction of me. When I say true-to-life I don't mean I have a killer bod like that, I am a witch. Ok, I am not a witch, but I do act like something that rhymes with witch. Ok, now I am just rambling...go to her site and vote on this gorgeous work of art. Thanks again blackwings, I love it!
Wow, this post was a pretty long one for a change. I will make the rounds to sites, approve fan art and check out the OB. Thanks again for the friendship everyone. I love you all.

Completely exausted!
Hi everyone! This is going to be short update. Plus, everyone is probably too busy checking out all the updates with theOtaku right now to read my blog anyway! :P
Yesterday's visit with the family was physically and emotionally exausting. My uncle, who has cancer, is about 5'8" and he has dropped weight. He only weighs 82 pounds! My mom who isn't in the best of health an is a little under 5' weighs 86 pounds...for her to see her older brother like that was terrible.
I did some emotional shopping afterwards to get my mind off all that.
I bought the Saiyuki Visual Complete art book, vol 4 Saiyuki manga and this really cool Saiyuki plastic folder thing that has a bunch of loose sheets of sketches from Reload. And no, it wasn't an entire Saiyuki shopping trip. I did pick up a panda wall calendar for next year and vol 4 of the Naruto manga.
I am still tired from the trip and I think I am going to spend the day relaxing. Maybe I will change the layout of my site...we'll see.
Love you all.

Hello. My name is Panda and I am a Dorkaholic.
I'm here for the support group meeting.
After reading Shin's myO I have realized that I am a Dorkaholic. As with any problem, admitting there IS a problem is the first step to recovery. Let's take a look...
1) You make extremely nerdy posts on your blog obsessing over a movie, band, television show, book, or other form of entertainment. If you obsess over something that isn't entertainment-related, you're not a dorkaholic, you're just a nut.
-Oh dear, I never knew my obsession with anime would lead me down the path of Dorkaholism! I am also assuming that my obsession with pandas makes me a nut as well. What have I become!!!??? ::shakes fist in air::
2) You spend more than ten minutes typing a rant about a very insignificant piece of news, yet ignore more newsworthy items in the world.
-I do tend to ramble on about insignificant things versus the real important issues of the day. I get all my news from the Daily Show...is that bad?
3) Your name starts with S and ends with U. I'm looking at you, Shamu.
-PHEW!! Dodged a bullet there!
4) You can't go one day without making at least five pop-culture references in some form or fashion.
-I have been doing this for years. Obscure quotes from Monty Python and movies, song lyrics, commercials and catch phrases. When will this madness end?!?
5) You've actually taken one of Shinmaru's posts seriously for more than five seconds. Ten seconds for the posts that are actually serious about something.
-You mean Shin isn't always serious?!?
I think I need to take a break and indulge in one of my vices...Bishonen guys!!
Is being attracted to Bishie anime guys a sign of my Dorkaholism?
Now you know my question is going to have to deal with this Dorkaholism I feel some...er...most of us have. It's ok, we are all friends here and we need to work through this together! Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.
What are some of the "dorky" things you enjoy doing? C'mon, you know there are things you like to do that others may see as being dorky. Let's bring all these skeletons out of the closet and air out that dirty laundry!!
I will go first...ahem...
- I am a 28 year old woman who loves watching anime. Most women my age are busy raising their children and/or working on their successful careers. Not me. I am watching anime, drooling over Sanzo and attending cons dressed up in my panda hoodie.
- I sing along to the music I listen to in my car when I am driving. It more than likely is some cheesy 80's hair band music or anime music.
- DDR. I don't think I need I explain how stupid I look on the dance pad.
-Karaoke. I was in band in school since I couldn't sing to save my life...but give me a microphone, a Britney Spears song and an audience and I am there!
- I might be a furry. I haven't accepted this yet but I am afraid I am slipping into the fur-dom. I already have the right nickname and the panda hoodie. It is only a matter of time before I make myself a fur suit! Oh the horror!!
- I can quote ENTIRE movies. For example: Say Anything, Princess Bride, Monty Python movies and skits, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Airplane and countless other movies and cartoons.
- I enjoy playing Call of Cthulhu.
Ok, so I shared a few of my vices, time for you guys to share some of yours!! Remember if you feel like you are not a Dorkaholic...
Mental disorder or Dorkaholic...you decide.
Well kids, it's been a fun post today. Unfortunately I may not be able to do one tomorrow since I will be in Seattle for the "family reunion" to see my uncle who has cancer. I hope everyone is having a great week and I will see you all when I get back from Seattle. I am going to go to Uwajimaya which is a great asian food/gift store. Shopping always makes me feel better. I am sure I am going to need to do some hardcore shopping after seeing my uncle.
Love you all and I will see you Dorkaholics later!

Pandas are cute!
Cute!
Post title is a quote from Excel Saga. :P
Not much to report today. I did some writing for theOtaku, crocheted some on a blanket (a project I started 2 years ago!) and some chores around the house. I did get some bittersweet news. I got a call from the Social Security Administration and I have qualified for disability due to my RA. It's good since I qualify and will get some benefits, bad since it means that in the eyes of the government I am sick enough to be classified as "disabled". It's kind of a weird place for me to be. Time to move on to something a bit less depressing...
Bishie Break time!
What hotties...yummy!
My question of the day is a tasty one. What is your all time favorite sweet treat? What about it makes it your favorite? When was the last time you got to eat this great treat?
For me it is cinnamon rolls. I absolutely love warm cinnamon rolls with icing. Mmmmm...I think I need to get some cinnamon rolls right now! If there is one comfort food I crave it has got to be warm cinnamon rolls. Yummy. ^_^
Too cute to eat!
John bought me this cute panda cookie from Starbucks and I had a hard time eatting it. So before I did I had to take a picture of it. So cute!
I hope everyone is doing well and will chat with you all later. Love you all!

Pandas sure are scary!
In case you don't know, the title of my post today is a quote from Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. :P
So, I watched some Homestar Runner cartoons, got a very good nights rest, crocheted a scarf from this super soft dark green chenille yarn, did a bunch of chores around the house and watched some Gravitation. I am feeling much better now. ^_^
I know life goes on and we need to keep going no matter what. Death is a part of life and that it is something we will all face someday. I still feel bad about my uncle, but he is so sick with cancer that when he does pass on it will be an end to his pain...on to bigger and better things. ^_^
I think it's time for some Hakkai and Sanzo eye candy!
Bishie goodness...yummy!
My question of the day is an easy one. Tonight I am at a loss for questions so I am going to ask a question I have asked a while back. Seeing how theOtaku.com is gearing up for the launch of Re:Defined, I was wondering how everyone found the site. Did you stumble across it on your own? A friend tell you? How did you find the community?
I came across the site via Goggle. I was doing odds and ends of quizzes and found one that was on theOtaku. I then started to explore the site and realized that it was really a great community so I stuck around. I have made some really great friends and enjoy visiting with everyone. I help out on the site and love to see the community grow. It's very exciting to be a member of such a fun community. ^_^
Panda!
You guys are the best. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far and it continues to get better and better. I will chat with you all later! Love ya all!

Oh bother.
I need some comfort food.
It's been a tough day...which actually started last night. I didn't get much sleep which didn't help my cold any. Which by the way is driving me crazy! I have got to get rid of this runny nose! Anyway, getting to the point. My mom called last night and told me we are having a "family reunion" on the 30th of this month. Her older brother was diagnosed with stomach cancer and the doctors say he only has 6 months left to live. He is doing really poorly and the family is trying to get everyone together for a reunion. It's going to be hard to go but I know I have too. What do you say to someone who is going to die? Talking about the future seems cruel...I guess you can talk about the past and present. Of course my present isn't the most uplifting. I've been sick and painful from the RA but that is nothing compared to being told you have about 6 months left to live. What a sad situation.
Bishie break time...
What great eyes...
Oh, and after I talked with my mom I watched some Adult Swim and if you have been watching Wolf's Rain you know what Saturday's episode was like. I am not going to go into detail since I don't want to spoil the story for anyone. Let's just say it really didn't help me feel better. It was so sad, I was so sad...it was just plain sad.
Maybe some Homestar Runner cartoons will make me feel better.
My question of the day for everyone is this: What do you do to cheer yourself up?
I think I am going to go watch some silly Homestar Runner cartoons and play with my pets. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Well, sorry such a downer update. First a rant now this. I am just going through a rough patch right now. I think we will all be much happier when the happy-go-lucky panda is back. ^_^
Love you all and hope you all have a wonderful week. Be safe and take care.
