Grrr!
Pandas on Patrol!!
Thanks for all the visits everyone! I am in that weird situation right now where I have slept most of the day and now I am awake, yet still tired. I think I have slept too much. I am feeling better. My plan is to go visit the sites I missed as soon as I finish this update. ^_^
I just went and approved fan art that needed to be looked through...and...well, let's just do this...
For those of you new to the Panda Rant Engine, if you don't want to read my rant just skip ahead to the "End Rant" icon.
Ok, so I am going through fan art. There are lots of talented artists that deserve to have their hard work looked at. It may not have the straightest lines or figures quite right, but at least they are trying and being original. The past few days there has been a ton of THIS stuff submitted...
Can someone say "Screen Capture"?!?!
So I have had a bunch of screen shots submitted as fan art and it drives me batty! I am not sure if they think I am stupid and won't notice that they are screen shots or they just don't know that you can't submit stuff like this! I have to say just today I had at least a dozen screen shots submitted for fan art approval. I just want to smack them upside the head and tell them to get a life!!
Oh yeah, the Japanese on the top right has the date that the episode was going to be shown.
Ok, I just needed to get that out of my system. I feel much better now. I think it is time for us to move on to the question and poster of the day. I figure the Inu Yasha "fan art" can be my bishie of the day. :P
I think this applies to the fan art plagiarist.
Ok, is there anyone in your life who you think is the "poster child" for birth control? You know, someone who is just dumb as a rock?
My vote goes to those people who steal fan art and submit work as their own. I just wish these people would get a life and figure out that they are idiots!! Arrrrgh!!
I know, I said I was done ranting. I guess I should go check the message boards for spam and visit sites. I love you all and hope you have a great weekend!

Blah!!
Watch the panda action!
I really appreciate your friendship. I have been so bad about visiting everyone since I have been feeling bad yet you all still come by and visit me. I love you guys. ::huggles:: Today I am still feeling bad. My voice is all messed up. It's like I have a frog (or an entire family of frogs) in my throat! Ribbit!
On thing that has been really hard is I had to call my friend who is having a baby shower tomorrow and cancel my RSVP. She has had a tough pregnancy. She has a high risk pregnancy and had already lost one of her pregnancies at 4 months. She is due next month so all is good. I was looking forward to her shower since we can all relax a bit now since the due date is so close. But since I am sick there is no way I am going to go. I would hate to get anyone sick...especially her. I would feel awful! I just wish I wasn't sick so I could celebrate this happy occasion with her. :(
I know, whinny panda...waaaaaaa!
At least I didn't fire up the rant engine! :P I think it is time for a bishie break.
What hotties. ^_^
I know I have done this picture before but I just felt like putting a Gravitation piccy up since I just finished reading vol. 7 of the manga. ^_^ Now we need to move on to the poster and question of the day! Woo hoo!
Yes, be happy being where you are. Is there anything you have done in the past that you weren't the best at, but had a good time doing it?
For me it would be rock climbing. Before I was "blessed" with Rheumatoid Arthritis I use to love going out and doing some rock climbing. I wasn't the best, nor would I do anything past a 5.8 sport climb. I absolutely loved it. It was so much fun even when I would fall or couldn't complete a climb. Just being out there was fun. ^_^
Well, it's been fun. I need to go to bed and get well. I hope you are all feeling much better than I am. I love you all and hope to be back on my feet soon. ^_^
Time for bed.

Not a proper update, but better than nothing.
I swear, that is just the story of my life!
Sorry such a late update. My appointment yesterday was ok. I am having more lab work done to make sure I am doing ok. I should find out in a few days if all is well.
Still fighting off the cold, which is more than likely just a cold. I am under orders to get lots of rest and drink plenty of fluids.
Now the question of the day. As you know I have been going to many doctors, having tons of lab work done and taking tons of meds that make me feel sick. I really feel like this is "all pain with no gain". Has there been anything in your life that you felt was this way?
Well, I need to take my meds and go back to bed. I love you all and hope to be feeling better soon so I can visit everyone. Take care!

Pandas don't swim, they float!
I'm just trying to keep my head above water...er...bamboo.
Thanks for the get well wishes. I have to go to the doctor tomorrow for yet another appointment so if anything is really wrong I am sure I will find out at this appointment. More than likely it is just a stupid cold. ::sniff, sniff::
Time for a bishie break!
Oh sigh.
Hey, did you guys notice that Adam put the winners of the blog contest on the front page? I haven't gone yet to read their winning entries, but I bet they are much more interesting than my daily ramblings. :P We are also closing in on the lauch of theOtaku.com Version RE:Defined. I am really looking forward to this. I think it is going to be really cool and a huge success. ^_^
Now on the other end from success is today's poster!
I'm a loser.
Question of the day: Was there anything you did your best on but failed anyway?
Now this is something I feel my life is completely filled with. One thing I can remember off hand is an art competition we had in grade school. We all had to decorate pumpkins. I made mine look like a cat. I used black pipe cleaners to make some ears and a tail. Then I carved a kitty face on the pumpkin. It was really cute. I thought for sure it would win. Nope. Some kid with a generic pumpkin with triangle eyes, nose and crooked smile won. I was so disappointed.
I was robbed!! ::shakes fist in the air::
I think I need to go to therapy now to come to terms with the loss. I still think I should have won..
Anywho, I guess that is it for today. I will let you all know what exciting thing happens with my appointment tomorrow. Hopefully I won't get put on to more drugs. I swear, I am a walking pharmacy!! I love you all and I will chat with ya later!

Poor Pouty Panda
Bath isn't helping...
I think my panda adventure was a too much for my system to handle. I woke up this morning with a terrible cold. My throat hurts, voice sounds awful, nose is running and I feel all sore. Needless to say I have been sleeping most of the day. Why can't I just be healthy?! Ugh. Oh bother.
I think we need to have a bishie break!
I absolutely love this piccy.
I am going to start posting some silly "inspirational posters" I found online. These are like those ones you see that talk about "Dedication" and has some inspiring picture of some mountain climbers or something...but better! I got a chuckle out of them so I wanted to share them with you guys. Hope you like them. ^_^
What is the most recent stupid thing you have done?
For me, I was cooking some noodles. I went to the sink to drain them and I ended up pouring the boiling water on my own hand!! It was one of those things were I just zoned out and ended up burning my left hand. Dum, de-dum, dum duuuuuummmm!!!
Well, that is about it for today. Hope you are all in good health and enjoying your week. I will chat with you later! Love you all!

The Amazing Panda Adventure!
Weeeeee!
Ok, so it really wasn't that much of an amazing adventure, but an adventure none the less. John had to make a business run out of town and asked me if I wanted to tag along. Of course, I was all for getting out of the house. So we had to go pick up these huge sheets of this styrofoam used in applying stucco to houses. We pick them up and strap them in the bed of the truck and head on down the road...
And then....
Some of the bundles decided they really didn't want to say put. The fastest we could drive was 45 miles an hour. We ended up stopping at a truck stop to buy a bunch of duct tape and rope. On top of that we used every single strap and cord we had in the truck...including the strap to my purse! Even with all of this the bundles of foam didn't want to stay in the truck! The total trip would normally have taken 3 hours...it took us 6!! >_< Talk about a stressful trip. The entire time I was worried the ropes, straps and cords would break loose and I would be running around on the highway picking up loose sheets of styrofoam!! Now that would have been a sight huh! :P
Ok, we need to take sometime for my boys...
What cute guys. ^_^
Now, your question of the day. Seeing how I was so worried about loosing stuff on the road..what was the strangest thing you have seen on the side of the road?
For me the strangest thing I have seen is a bed. An entire bed. It was one of those toddler beds...white frame, mattress and boxspring. No sheets though. It was just sitting there on the side of the road. I am sure someone lost it while moving...but don't you think you would notice a bed missing?! LOL
Well, it has been a long, strange trip for me. I hope you are all having a great week filled with exciting adventures. Take care and I am off to visit sites...finally!! ^_^
Love you all!

Splish, splash...time for a panda bath!
A nice hot bath always makes me feel better. ^_^
I am feeling good enough today to do an update. ^_^ I hope everyone is doing well and all is going good. The past few days were pretty bad for me, but I am feeling better today. Enough of that, let's move on!
I had a great conversation with Mamma Vash today. I hope all of her technology problems get fixed soon. Perhaps Vash can help out with it! Seeing how DOS really IS lost techonolgy!! LOL ~_^
Bishie Break time!
Tempi!!
Now, time for your question of the day! What is the worst thing that has happened to your hair? Bad perm? Terrible color? Too much swimming cause it to turn green? Gum stuck in it? Really bad hair cut? We're all friends, share your worst hair experience!
Nice hair-do!
For me, it was a really REALLY bad perm when I was in the 5th grade. It basically turned out to be a huge fro!! Even pulling it back into a pony tail didn't help the fluffiness of it. Absolutely the worst thing that has ever happened to my poor hair. Just thinking back to it makes me cringe!!
Well, it felt good to get back to the site and update. Hopefully I will make it to everyone's sites soon. ^_^ Missed you all the past few days and I love you all!

Lazy Panda Day.
So lazy today...
Today was a lazy day. I don't feel that great so it's been tough to do anything. Since I haven't done anything today I really don't have much to talk about. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow. I get the pleasure of getting more blood drawn. Oh joy. :P
Let's just have a bishie break...
^_^
Your question of the day: If you had one wish to give to someone else...what would you wish for and who would you give it too?
I would wish for my mom to be healthy. Her arthritis is really bad and I would love for her to be out of pain and healthy. ^_^
Whatta a cute little panda butt!
Sorry such a short update today. I am going to go take my medication and go to bed. You guys take care and I will visit your sites soon. Love you all!

Good Panda < Bad Panda
Cupid Panda!
Today was a day. Not terrible, not great...just a day. I had to go to a funeral today for a long time family friend. John had to go out of town on business so I sat with my parents. Saw tons of people who have known me since I was born. It was kinda sad to see how all the "grown ups" are now really old. The funeral was a typical Nichiren Shu ceremony. Nichiren Shu is a Buddhist Order and the funeral has a lot of incense burning, bell ringing and chanting. Normally I have a hard time paying attention...until today!
Ok, so I am a really bad Panda. Normally the priest is a really old guy who is, well, boring. Today we had a new priest, a young really cute 24 year old bishonen priest! ^_^ He was wearing his ceremonial white and orange silk vestments that had golden threads weaved in a complex pattern through the orange part of the robes. He also wore this golden crown that had these long silk panels that would hang down over his shoulders. It kind of reminds me of another priest I have seen somewhere before....
I knew I had seen that headdress somewhere before!
So needless to say, during the service I actually paid attention and learned something new. During the service he mentioned Japanese poet Matsuo Basho's poem. This was a poem he wrote when preparing for his death:
The fallen cherry blossoms,
The remaining cherry blossoms,
Both, fallen blossoms.
He was relating the fallen cherry blossoms as those who have past away and the remaining as those who remain. Telling us to remember that someday we too shall fall. I just thought that the cherry blossom poem was an excellent analogy for death.
I am such a bad panda!
So, I am a bad. The only reason I didn't completely zone out like I normally do during a Buddhist funeral is because the priest was bishonen. Bad Panda.
My question for everyone today is this: When did you learn about death? Did you learn about death because of a friend, family member, pet, etc...passing away? How did you find out?
I learned about death from losing my dog due to old age. His name was Henry and he died when I was 8 years old. Very sad. Still makes me sad. At least I know he had a great life and he was loved. ^_^
Sorry for ending my post on such a down note. One lesson I learned dealing with death is that you never know when it is your time. Tell those around you how you feel since you never know. Regret is a terrible thing to live with and knowing that you have told your loved ones that you care is a wonderful last memory. Hope that made sense.
On that note. I want all of you to have fun, take care of yourselves and remember that I love ya all. I know I say it everyday but I want you all to remember that you have an online friend who cares about you and is sending happy thoughts through this post. ^_^
Love ya!
