I'm melting!!
It is so flippin' hot!
Today was a very toasty hot day. It's too hot to do anything! I spent most of it inside the house. My poor dogs wanted to go outside and play, I finally let them out and they ran outside, stopped and ran back in! They knew it was too hot outside too. Now they are both napping next to me. I like warm weather but when it's 106 degrees outside you really can't enjoy it. Burn baby burn.
Oh how I wish I were there!
Now, the question of the day!
Do you enjoy swimming? When was the last time you went swimming? Have you ever gone cliff diving?
Swimming is not one of my favorite activites. When I was younger, before I learned how to swim, I almost drowned. I got over my fear of water and learned how to swim, but I think because of almost drowning I don't like the water much. The last time I went swimming was at the pool at the gym John and I workout at. It was fun. There wasn't anyone else there so we played with all the pool toys they have for the kids on family night. LOL
As for cliff diving, no. But I have gone cliff jumping. No diving for me. There is an area near my home called Upper Goose Lake and there are these cliffs there. Lots of people go diving from the cliffs. I stayed at the shorter ones...about 20 ft. There have been deaths from the taller ones so I know better than to go near those. Last summer they closed the area down since there were so many injuries and deaths. Scary huh.
Anyway, I am off to check the boards for more spam. There are some really bad posts lately. I know we are just in a bit of a low, but still. I popped into the Anime Lounge and there was one of those "Hey I'm new someone talk to me!" posts. Ugh. Still, it's not as bad as some of the bickering going on in the Otaku Lounge. I think my brain is going to explode! It did inspire me to make something to warn spammers......
Like a bat from the rafters, I attack rule breakers on theOB!!
Beware of the Anti-Spam Ninja Panda!!!
It is really hard to be intimidating when you are a panda...this should strike fear in the hearts of spammers on the OB!!! Grrrr!!
Well, I hope everyone is having a great day and may it be spam free! Love you all!

What's a bishie lovin' fan girl to do?!?
Pandas are very affectionate! Smooches!!!
Today was a great day. My best friend Jen came and picked me up and we went out to lunch together..her treat! Woo Hoo! Free lunch! ^_^ It was great that she invited me out since my internet went down for a seveal hours. I think I jinxed myself yesterday by saying that I needed to get away from the computer! ::knock on wood:: I will no longer say I need time away from the computer. I can't survive without it! During the time I had no internet I had time to think. I know, only evil things can spring forth from the mind of a bored Panda with no internet!
I started to think about which bishie guy I liked more....Genjo Sanzo or Eiri Yuki. What a dilemma huh. I asked myself..what is a bishie fan girl to do?!?! And the answer...make a list!
Genjo Sanzo or Eiri Yuki
Monk with a bad attitude.
Tall, Thin, Blonde.
Wears reading glasses.
Smokes too much.
Troubled past.
Has younger male "tag along" who would do anything for him.
Do you see where I am having a dilemma?! I think I am just going to have to give this more thought. Ok fellow fan girls, give me your 2 cents. ~_^
Now, time for the question of the day. I am sure you guys reading this are happy that I am moving off the subject of bishies. :P
Do you have a crush on someone or in a relationship right now? Does this person give you butterflies in the pit of your stomach? Are you, or have you, expressed your feelings towards this person?
Well, besides my crush on my bishie guys I would have to say that my heart really belongs to Novapup. I do still get the butterfly feeling in my tummy when I think about how much I love him. Oh, just got them, neat-o! Before we got together I had a crush on him for awhile. I waited for him to tell me how he felt. I gave him hints that I liked him, but never came out and said I had feelings for him. It all worked out for the best. ^_^
Well, I am off to finish up some odds and ends around the house. I hope everyone has a great day and may you all have wonderful dreams tonight about the one that you love. ^_^ Love you all!

I need to start exercising again.
I can't touch my toes anymore!
I had a terrible night...which turned into a terrible morning. I couldn't fall asleep last night. I stayed up into the early hours of the morning looking at junk online. It is amazing where you can end up online when you are bored. I woke up this morning...er...afternoon all sore. I think I need to get back in the habit of exercising everyday. I got a bit lazy with vacation and this cold. Oh, my cold is now just a bit of a runny nose. Thank goodness!
I need to get away from my computer for a little while.
I am at a complete loss of what to talk about today. I think I will keep this update short and just ask my question for the day!
How much time do you spend on the computer? When you are the computer what do you spend the majority of your time doing (homework, work, games, chat, wandering around looking at bizarre things..etc)? Do you think you spend too much, not enough or just the right amount of time online?
I spend most of the day online. When online I am usually checking out the message boards I mod for or I am reading my friends' blogs. I think I spend too much time online. I think I need to get some more exercise in and do more chores around the house. I need a life. LOL
Well, I should start right now and do some stuff around the house. You guys take care and hope your week is off to a great start. Love you all!

If a panda falls in the forrest, does it make a sound?
Pandas aren't the most coordinated beings in the world!
Today was one of those days that I was glad I didn't leave the house. It seemed like when ever I did anything I ended up tripping, stubbing my toe, running into the walls....I was having some motor skill issues! LOL Despite that it was a good day since I got my site all updated. Thanks for everyone who left me comments on the new look. It's pretty snazzy isn't it! It isn't as busy and I think I like it better. ^_^
It's time to pause for some bishie goodness....
Eiri Yuki is just so yummy!
Ok, the weekend is over and I am tired...on to the question of the day!
Are you a danger to yourself? Do you ever trip over your own feet? What is the worst or most embarrassing self inflicted accident that has happened too you?
I truly am a danger to myself. I have fallen off of monkey bars and broken my arm, I have countless bumps, bruises and cuts. I guess that is what I get for growing up a tomboy. LOL I will tell you guys about my most embarrassing accident I had. It was at my aunt and uncle's house. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and I had a plate of tacos. I was going out to the deck and ran through their screen door. Actually, only my legs made it out, my upper body was still in the house! Needless to say, the tacos stayed with me and my upper body in the house. I had taco all over my face and in my hair AND had the wind knocked out of me when I hit the floor. That was embarrassing! >_<;;
Thanks again for stopping by my site and leaving all the great comments. I love you all and I hope everyone has a great week!

What a busy weekend!!
I..want to rock and roll all night...and party everyday!
Wow, what a busy weekend for me! I spend all day Saturday out shopping with my girlfriends and I picked up Saiyuki vol 11 and Karaoke Revolution vol 2 for the PS2! If you couldn't guess, it has that KISS song in it. It was fun just singing the evening away. The funny thing is, on my first try of "I believe in a thing called love" by The Darkness on medium judging, I went Platinum! I did really well on that song. So the next time you hear it, think of a Panda singing it! LOL
I am sure you have all notice the new look of my site. Thanks to Baron Samedi I have this wonderful new color scheme and nifty boarder for my posts. Everyone needs to visit Baron's site and tell him what a great job he did with my site! Go now!! I racked my brain all day trying to think of how to let Baron know how much I love myO's new look.
I thought and thought but couldn't come up with a witty way to thank Baron!
So, I figured that the only way I could really let Baron know how much I appreciate his help is by becoming a stalker!
Pandas are excellent at not being seen...thus, they can be stealthful stalkers!
Thanks again Baron for all you help with my site, I love it! ~_^ Now it is time for us to move on to the question of the day inspired by all the karaoke I did last night!
What is your favorite musician and/or song to sing along too? What song and/or musician do you absolutely hate?
For me my favorite song to sing along too is "Kissing a Fool" by George Michaels. I love singing this song in the car! It is the only time I will sing this song is if I am in the car by myself, but I just love it! In a group I will sing karaoke and I love to sing cheesy songs like "Wind Beneath My Wings", "I Will Survivie" and now "I Believe in a Thing Called Love". In front of a group, the cheesier the song the better for me!
As for songs I hate I would have to say "Toxic" by Britney Spears. That song gets stuck in my brain and I can't get rid of it for days! It's like I need to take an ice pick and stab it out of my brain!
I guess that is about it. Thanks again to Baron for the help with the site. You are the coolest guy in the world!! YOU ROCK!! ~_^ Hope everyone had a great weekend and it continues on through the rest of the week. Love you all!

There isn't much on tv these days...
I spend the day watching television...and there isn't anything good on!
This is Spinal Tap was on, but I just didn't feel like watching it. I already have it on tape so I can watch it any time I want. I flipped through the channels and ended up watching Discovery Health. There were several shows on adoptions and babies. Which started me thinking about kids again. John (Novapup) and I are currently childless. We are going to stay that way. With the chemo meds and stuff I can't get pregnant while on the meds since it (the meds) cause all kinds of terrible birth defects. But no need to feel bad, I have never been one of those girls who NEEDS to have a baby. Have never felt that baby need. In fact, never understood it. My best friend Jen was always one of those girls who knew she was going to have kids and wanted kids. I just feel like kids are something grown ups have and I am not a grown up. I am happy spending my money on anime and manga, not on formula and diapers. :P
My friends and family for as long as John and I have been together talk about how cute our kids would be. Which made me think...what would they look like. This is what I came up with.
=
Isn't that puppy cute! I found pictures of this puppy that is the exact same coloring as a panda! So now we know what a Novapup and Panda's kids would look like! LOL
So, time for the question of the day!
Do you like children? Do you want to have kids? What is your ideal family size?
Like I said before, I have never really wanted to have kids. I never liked babysitting. Until I met John I never wanted to have kids, but it would be ok if we did. If we did have kids I would want to have 2 boys 2 years apart in age. ^_^
Oh, I did make a new banner for OB! Yes, yet another Sanzo banner. Suprise, suprise huh. LOL
The Japanese is text translates to:
I want to grab with my own hands now
because I believe
that you are waiting for me wherever I may be.
Let me know what you think of the new banner!
Well, hope everyone had a great day and may you have a wonderful weekend. I love you all and may happy thoughts of Panda-Pups dance in your head!
Shake your groove thing!

I need a nap!
With my new Craftmatic Adjustable Tree it feels like I am sleeping...in a tree!
Lots of stuff happened to me today. Some of you already know I FINALLY got on AIM and chatted a bit with a few of you. Thank you all for your help getting me up and running. I just hate having to set up a new messenger thingy since they all have their little qwerks. I think a few more chats and I will have it down pat. ^_^
Something else of interest, I have become a moderator for the Otaku Lounge for the OB! So far so good. The boards have been pretty quiet today so I haven't had to do much modding. I like it since it allows me a chance to give back to the community in a small way. I think we really do have a great online community here and I would like to help keep everything running smoothly. ^_^
For some reason today I am at a complete loss as to what to write about. Because of that I am going to keep this short and just leave you with this question....
Kiwi.
The Bird or the Fruit...Which do you prefer?
I don't want to bias anyones answers so I am not going to tell you what my choice is.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and may it be filled with kiwi. Love ya all!

Sometimes you just have to make your own fun.
I'm havin' a ball!
Thanks for the comments for yesterday's post. I knew those pictures would illicit a response from you guys! Mwahaha! My evil plan to control your minds by filling them with disturbing images is falling into place!!
Just kidding!
Today was a good day. I have spend the day working on some odds and ends around the house. I don't think I am feeling well enough to leave the house yet. I don't want to push my luck and get sick again. Still a little bit of a cough, but getting better. But since I haven't done too much of anything I don't have much to talk about today. Hmmm, I might just have to share the story I told Shinigami today. Yes Shinigami, you are my muse, don't you feel special!
Bad Luck and Nittle Grasper!
At Anime Expo I was with a group of my friends and we went to the cosplay competition- the Masquerade! The place was packed but since one of my friends works in the industry we were able to sit up front. So in other words we were sitting with all the "suits". The rabid otaku fans were all in the back of the room. I really need to get into the industry so I can get choice seating all the time. Anyway, back on subject. The contestants came on, did skits or just walked around. Then the host asked "Are there Shonen fans out there?!" There is a bit of clapping and a few screams from the otaku bunch in the back. I did my "adult" clamping since I was with all these "grown ups". The host asks again and there is a louder response from the back of the room.
I am sitting there looking around and the host announces over the screams "Let's welcome Bad Luck and Nittle Grasper!!". For just a second I lost my composure and went fangirl. I let out this huge scream and start clapping really loud!!! All my friends around me jump and what made it worse was I was the only one who did that for about 15 rows all around me!! Here is my artists rendition of what it looked like...
How embarrassing. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had been in the back of the room with the other rabid otaku fangirls....but I was up front with these prim and proper people. Oh well. LOL
I didn't ask a question of the day yesterday, can you believe it?!? I guess you guys got the day off yesterday. But not today!!
Have you ever let out a scream/clapped/shouted/laughed...etc and were the only one who did? How embarrassing was it for you? What did the people around you do when you did?
I guess I really don't need to answer this one since I already did! Hope everyone is having a great day and I love ya all!

I was thinking today.....
It takes alot for a panda to think!
What I was thinking was that I really do have a wonderful group of friends here on theOtaku. You have all been so sweet with the well wishes and happy thoughts. I think all the long distance happy thoughts have finally made it to me and I am starting to feel much better. My head isn't as cloudy so I am on the road to recovery!! Woo Hoo!!
Now I will answer the 3 questions I did get yesterday. More well wishes than questions which I do appreciate...as I do the questions!
KamiyaUsagi- Worst bus ride?
Actually don't have too many bad bus rides, but I do remember a funny one. It was on a school bus. The bus driver was an evil woman. My brother and I were the 3rd stop on the route. As the bus rounded the corner after picking us up the side emergency door opened! All the kids on the bus just looked at each other and didn't say anything. We made it through 1/2 the stops before the driver figured it out. LOL We all just cracked up when the door flew open since everyone in the back had a great wind blown look to them. Hey, when you are in grade school things like that are hilarious!
blackwings- When did I start to like pandas and where to I get all the pictures for my posts?
Well, I have always liked pandas but in 1992 I became a true panda collector. It started after John gave me the nickname of Panda. ^_^ The pictures are sent to me from friends who find them online or scan them. Others are my own pictures I take from my panda collection or like the pictures of the panda in surgery I took myself. If you guys see some cute panda pictures be sure to send them my way!
Shinigami- Did I ever cosplay or want to later?
Yes, I have a Minmei costume I have worn for Halloween. Back when I had my waist-lenght jet black hair I could put it up in those chessy buns! I do have a Mitsuko (from Kikaider: the animation) costume I was going to wear to Sakura-con but I ended up not being able to go to the con. I still want to wear it and will at one of these cons! When I do I will take a picture and post it for everyone to see! ^_^
Seeing how you have all been patiently waiting for a good ol' Panda post, I hope this one won't let you down. Inspired by Shinigami's cosplay question, it made me think of something I wanted to share with everyone! ^_^
As you all know I went to Anime Expo. It was so much fun. I highly recommend going to AX if you are given the chance. It is well worth it. One of the "things" you may be lucky enough to see while at Anime Expo is....Man-Faye! For those of you who know, you KNOW. For everyone else a very short introduction to the spectacle which is Man-Faye. He is a crossplayer (cosplayer who dresses as a character of the opposite sex.) who dresses as Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop. For reference, here is Faye:
Sexy anime babe for the guys to enjoy!
Now, Man-Faye is very popular. Not because he is a great cosplayer and looks just like Faye....I guess I will just show you and you can figure it out for yourself.
Be warned, it may be disturbing. If you are eatting right now, stop. If you are thinking about eatting sometime in the near future you may loose your appetite. You have been warned!
Ah, the glory and splendor which is Man-Faye!!
He actually got in trouble with the law this year. The cops told him he had to cover up or be thrown out of the convention. He was later seen selling t-shirts for $15 each that had a drawing of him and the text that read.."I slapped Man-Faye's hairy ass and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!". He was selling them to "get Man-Faye back to the convention" which is just a way to make some money from his hairy ass.
If you want to really know more about him just do a search with Google for "Man-Faye" and you will find tons of pictures and write-ups. Heck, he even made it on TechTV after last year's Anime Expo expose'! LOL
Well I hope that wasn't too disturbing to you guys. It really is more funny than shocking. I do have more revealing pictures of Man-Faye but those are just......ugh......scary!
Thanks again for all the well wishes. You guys really are my friends and I love you all. I am starting to feel better. My post quality should be back up to the gutter where it normally is in a few more days. :P
Love you all!
