I think it is a squidy weekend.
Is squidy even a word?
Anywho, I think this weekend is going to be a lounge around kind of weekend. I am going to be very much like that squid in the picture....you know, not very active, flabby, smelly...just squidy.
Tomorrow my hubby got the day off from work so I am going to try to convince him to take me out of town to go buy some more manga! Of course with the news I just heard from Monkey I better save my pennies for Saiyuki Reload! I am sooooo excited!!!
I am working on my next fan art piece which is Shampoo in cat form. (Remember to go leave feedback on my 3 new pieces that just got posted!) I think Shampoo looks pretty cute. ^_^ I am trying to decide what to do next. I am not sure. Maybe I will take a break from the art for alittle while. Who knows.
My last entry I was joking around about what I would do with my remains after I pass. I never said what I would really do. I am going to be cremated. Because of the chemo drugs I am taking I can't donate my organs or even my blood. That really bites. I would like my ashes spread up on a mountain. I love camping and being up in the forrests. That just seems pretty cool to me.
This update is really jumping around huh. Sorry about that. How can I think straight when Saiyuki Reload is going to be coming out!! I guess I should just go be squidy.
Have a squidy weekend all! ^_^ |

I don't know...what do you guys think of this?
I really don't have anything to say about it.
But I do have other things to say! 3 pieces of my fan art have been approved so be sure to go by and let me know what you think of them. I did Kirara (or Kilala depending on who you ask), Pen Pen and Hakuryu. What gets me are the people who will say they don't like your art, but not tell you what it is they don't like. If I am doing something wrong in my art, I would appreciate them telling me. How can I fix it if I don't know what I am doing wrong!! Arrrrgh!!! Oh well, I like them. ^_^
I ended up working an extra hour tonight, which means I will have some extra money to buy more manga! Woo hoo! Of course that doesn't mean much when payday is still 2 weeks away. Oh why can't I just be rich instead of so darn good looking!?! :P lol
On a good note I am feeling much better. Now I just feel like I had been run over by an overweight gazelle instead of an angry walrus. Not hurt as bad, but still sore.
I guess that is about it for right now. Time for dinner so I will catch up on everyone's myO sites after that. Be sure to go rate my art! I will leave you with this question...
Question of the day: Would you want to be buried in your work clothes like the clown above?
I wouldn't want to be buried wearing scrubs...even though I have a bunch with cute pandas on them. In fact, I think I would want to have my body stuffed and placed on the couch...or better yet, an action pose! Perhaps me getting ready to leap into the air or my arms up in the air with a vicious snarl on my face! Just kidding....but I would make a great conversation piece now wouldn't I. |

Today has been a wacky day.
I woke up feeling like I got run over by an angry walrus. I managed to get to work and my boss could tell I was feeling really bad so she gave me the afternoon off. I get a letter from my Rheumatologist saying that I need to reschedule my appointment that was for next week. I had been waiting for this appointment since January. I haven't been feeling so good lately. I give the office a call and his next appointment available in my hometown is in September! He comes from Wenatchee (you know, the town that had the guy looking for the peter!) and he only makes it over here once a month. My doctor, not the guy looking for the peter. LOL
Needless to say I asked for the first available appointment in Wenatchee. It is in June. *sigh* So I guess I have to wait til then, take a day off from work, drive out of town all before I can find out if I can change my meds or start something new. Bother.
I came home and took my pain meds. The meds make me sleepy so I took a nice nap. After that I got up and decided to try my hand at some more fan art. I submitted a couple more pieces. I am not sure if they will be accepted but if they are, I will make a post here about it. ^_^
Today was definately filled with a bunch of ups and downs. Hopefully tomorrow will just be ups. ^_^
For those of you who won't be around this weekend, have a great one! For everyone else who will be hanging around here like me. I will be putting a few more pictures up for the WTF?!? contest, so be looking for them!
Night all! ^_^ |

I can't think of anything to write about....
I saw that James took this quiz so I decided to take it myself. A broken heart is not the way I want to go...that is sooooo sad! I would rather go out in some bizarre accident with chocolate pudding or a freak skee ball incident. Broken heart...that is just too sad!!
Right now I am at work, my boss is out of the office so I read some manga and visited some myO sites. I think I need to do something like tell a story. But what to tell.....
I will tell you a story about why it is good not to become an alcoholic!
When John (my hubby) was in college he and some friends went to the near by town of Wenatchee, Washington. Every year they have a spring festival called the Apple Blossom Festival. You know, the typical stuff...carnival rides, food vendors, parade...yaada, yaada, yaada. It is also a very popular place for cruising around trying to pick up girls. I will tell you, being a girl at Apple Blossom is very dangerous. My group of girlfriends and I were there and got hosed down by a bunch of boys looking for a free wet t-shirt contest. >_<
Anywho...the boys (John and his friends, not the numbnuts with the water hoses) had a modified station wagon. They chopped the top off of it and made some other "alterations". Ok, visualize this. Black 1970 station wagon, top chopped, on the side was a painting of a pig wearing a cop hat with a big red circle with slash through it. White styrofoam female mannequin head with long flowing black hair. Cateye sunglasses on her with an empty vodka bottle stuck in her mouth. It was called the Piggy Wagon.
The driver's seat was broken so it would naturally recline. To remedy this they used a log to prop up behind the seat, sometimes the log would slip and the driver would just disappear! The Piggy Wagon didn't have a licence, only a trip permit for the weekend. It was road legal...but just barely. Needless to say, they were very popular cruising around town.
That isn't the story, that was just the set up. Here is the real story...
They boys were camping outside of one of the other guy's sister's house. John gets up and crawls out of the tent. He looks around and sees a figure of a man walking down the middle of the road. It is approximately 6am. He didn't think much of it and started to pack up his gear. The figure got closer and John realized there was something not quite right about the guy.
He wakes one of the other guys to check out the man.
The man was a good 350 pounds, middle aged, looked basically unkept, had a very small t-shirt (basically a baby t) on and no pants..or underwear. He was naked below his huge waist!
He wanders up to the guys and say, of all things, "Have you seen the peter?" John's cracking up and points at his "area" and says, "Yeah, it's right there!". The guy mumbles something and says he has to find the peter. He goes over to the wagon and tries to take a pillow. The other guy with John yells at him and steals the pillow back.
The mostly naked man continues down the road. Stops at a car, steals the carseat covers, tries to wrap himself up and wanders away. Never to be seen again.
Now my question to all you is this...what chain of events lead to this man being mostly naked looking for the peter? Where did he find the extra small t-shirt? Did he ever find the peter? If those were your car seat covers, would you want them back?
Just something for you to think about.
So kids, what have we learned. We have learned that one should never get sooooo drunk you are wandering around a neighborhood naked looking for the peter!
Well, I guess I should go do something "work" like. Hope you got a kick out of the story! I'll catch up on everyone's myO's when I get some work done. Later!
Have you seen the peter?!?! |

Tonight has been a very productive night!
I have started my next fan art project. I am doing a picture of Hakuryu! I have finished the sketch and will start inking it in Photoshop tomorrow. ^_^ Hopefully I will get as much positive feedback as I did for my little grunty.
^_^
Another note worthy event of tonight was my popularity ranking (per my counter) finally slid below the 500 mark! Woo hoo! Only a few hundred years before I make it to the top 100! @_@
Did you guys notice how all my graphics in this post go well with the subject matter. You have the Goujun sprite to go along with me working on the Hakuryu pic and the panda sliding, very much like my ranking....pretty witty of me huh! What can I say, I am easily amused.
Well, I am going to go read some Saiyuki and head to bed. Thanks for visiting my site everyone. You are the best!

Feeling much better now, thanks!
My best friend Jen came by my work and took me out to lunch. I had some nice hot chicken noodle soup and 7-up and it settled my tummy right down. Now I feel happy!
Thanks for all the happy thoughts you have all sent my way...they worked and now I feel good! Hooray for you guys!!
All in all, today has been a pretty good day. I have another hour and a half left of work before freedom!! For some reason when I was typing that I got the visual of Menchi in Excel Saga looking out of the apartment trying to escape. :D
I have to type up one business letter then I will start to make the rounds to everyones sites. Thanks again for all the well wishes. I have a very happy tummy now! ^_^ |

I don't feel so good....
I think I ate too much yesterday. My tummy is upset. Ugh. I am at work at least. I just feel a little queezy. ::burp:: Hopefully it will pass soon.
I did add Radaghast's button to my site. With the new limit on characters in the intro it really does make it hard to type in a bunch of HTML. I had to shorten my contest stuff. I did put the rules and info on that site so I guess I really don't need it here. Go check it out, Imi sent me 2 submissions for the contest!I might have to take the links off the buttons if I add more buttons! Bummer. Oh bother.
I hope everyone is having a nice day. I think mine will be fine as long as I can get my tummy to settle down. I would rather have a headache or body aches than have nausea. Maybe I need some crackers. Oh, and no, I am not pregnant! Don't even think about it! Kids scare me. @_@
Well, I am going to look around the office for something to help settle my tummy. I will catch up on all your sites when I get back. Later! ^_^ |

I am a good daughter!
Mother's Day was fun. Visited with my parents and brother, ate lots of food and just spent time together. All in all, today was a good day. ^_^
I finally got my ducks in a row and got all my stuff done before the family came over so I felt good just sitting around visiting. Everyone has gone home so I worked on a wallpaper to submit to the site. I have never done one of those before either and I think it turned out pretty good. It is a Witch Hunter Robin one. Let's see if it is good enough to make the cut.
Thank you all again for the nice feedback on my Grunty. I have never felt like doing any type of drawing before until I started to see everyone elses work and I got the bug to draw. It was fun. I will see what inspires me to do my next drawing!
Today was a good day. I think I am going to watch some anime and eat another slice of cheesecake..Yummy!

It's already been one of those days....
Do you ever have those days that just feel like.....
I have a bunch of things I was thinking about and things I have to do but for some reason I can't seem to get anything done. I really wanted to add a good update to my site but I just feel so overwhelmed right now that this is just going to have to do until I get a few things done. Ugh.
Happy Mother's Day to everyone's moms. I am having my mom over here at my house and I have to get the house cleaned up and get started on cooking. We are going to do a BBQ since the weather is beautiful.
Imi has sent me a couple of pictures to put up in the WTF?!? contest and I will be posting those later today. Thanks all for visiting and I promise to be back later for a proper update!
Edit: I forgot to say thank you to everyone who has been kind enough to leave me positive feedback on my first fanart. It makes me happy. ^_^
Love ya all!! |
