Panda Play Day!
Pandas on playground equipment= Danger!!
Ok, so when I say play day I mean I had some fun today, not really going to the playground. Plus, me at a playground equals trouble!! I'll get into that later. My mom and dad called me up and wanted to take John and I out to lunch. We went out for Japanese food...yummy. I had some Torikatsu-don and it was so filling. I love it. On the menu they had Onirigiri and it made me think of being a little kid. I got all excited and pointed it out to my mom and she just laughed and asked me if I didn't have enough of those growing up. I swear, it was my favorite snack. Going out to lunch with my parents was a blast. We talked about tons of stuff. My mom has RA like I do and we talked about our aches and pains. She is actually in better shape right now than I am! Poor me!!
So, getting back to the subject of Pandas and Playgrounds. I was a very, VERY dangerous child. I was such a tomboy growing up that I was always getting hurt doing things I shouldn't be doing. If there was a tree..I would be in it....at least until I fell out. >.<
When I was little I broke my arm. It was the 4th of July and I was on some monkey bars. My big brother was there as well as a few of my dad's co-workers' kids. My brother told me to be careful, but I was just as tough as him so I knew I could handle it. Yes, this is where the "I told you so" comes into play...I lost my grip and fell as I was swinging to the next bar. I fell backwards and put my arm out behind me. *CRUNCH!!* Broke my arm. I went to the hospital and got a cast. It was pretty cool to have a cast! My doctor told me I could not use it as a weapon to beat my brother. Sheesh, my doc knew me well. :P
Here is a graphic re-enactment of the events of that day.....
Pandas can't be trusted on monkey bars!!
I really do think that the safest thing for pandas is just to stay seated and not move at all....unless it is to eat some bamboo! It really is dangerous being a panda at a playground!!
Now, my question to everyone is this...Have you ever broken a bone? When did it happen and what did you break? If you haven't, did you have a family member or friend who did? Did you think having a cast would be cool since people could sign it?
Well, you guys already know that I broke my arm. I thought the cast was cool since it showed everyone how "tough" I was. I was doing stuff "with the guys" and I was a rough and tumble kinda girl. It was fun getting all the attention and getting it signed..but it was so hot and itchy! Especially since it was in the middle of summer!! Ugh. If I break any bones I am going to make sure I do it during cooler weather!! :P
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and we are sliding into the weekend it should only get better! Love you all and hope everyone is as happy as I am right now.
Smile!! A Panda Loves You!!
