"To master the techinque, you must bow to the Panda!"
Fear the Panda!
The subject quote for those of you who don't know is from Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. Sasshi has to train under a martial arts sensei who just happens to be a panda bear. ^_^
It looks like you guys liked yesterday's post. It was definitely lots of fun to work on. It is always a pleasure. Now, as I have promised in yesterday's post, time for us to talk about the next coolest thing to pirates...ninjas and samurai!! Woo Hoo!!
Tons of movies, anime, manga, video games and many, many books have told the tale of these trained killers. Their codes of honor and unparalleled martial arts skills have been romantisized for ages. What guy wouldn't want to be as sexy yet deadly as them?! What girl wouldn't want a bishonen swordsman to protect her from a band of assassins?! You just can't beat the mystery and romance associated with these skilled martial artists.
Time for your daily dose of bishie goodness!
Bishie goodness from Peacemaker Kurogane!
I did start a couple of pieces of fan art from Peacemaker Kuragane. One is done the other should be done sometime in the near future. One of Saizo and another is of one of those creepy cat girls. That one I will be posting later today. If you have read the first manga you know what creepy cat girls I am talking about. @_@
Now, let's move on to the question of the day! What is your favorite samurai/ninja/martial arts anime/game/movie?
Takeshi Shimura is a great actor!
As you can tell by the above picture my all time favorite samurai movie is Seven Samurai. I love the story and Kurosawa is an amazing film maker. How could it be bad with a Shimura* acting in it?!? (*Shimura is my maiden name. ^_^) This film has been very influential in film making. If you have not seen it, go watch it now!! How can you not love the film that inspired the American western classic "The Magnificent Seven" with Yul Brynner! Which you should all know by now is the name sake of my dog. ^_^
Don't forget, November 20th is a triple threat! It is "Absurdity Day", "Beautiful Day" and "Universal Children's Day".
Celebrate "Absurdity Day" by wearing this stylish personal alarm clock!
It's been fun kids, I love you all. Sorry I didn't make it to all your sites but I have been dealing with a flood of PMs as of late. >_<;; Just trying to keep up on those has been an adventure! Hope you are all having a great weekend and have fun celebrating the holidays! Now go do something absurd while being the beautiful children you know you are! Just don't do anything absurd TO beautiful children...that may get you in trouble. @_@;;
