The Horrors of the Internet!!
Before I even start the post, I must warn you, this post does contain a picture that some of you may find...disturbing. @_@;;
If you are prepared to brave my post, continue on at your own risk!!
Don't say I didn't warn you first!!!
Must...write...review!!
Thanks for the visits everyone. I feel better today. I did some writing which made me feel better. I think maybe one of the reasons I wasn't feeling up to par was because I hadn't done any writing in so long. I write in my blog, but other than that I hadn't done any interviews, reviews or articles. So today I sat down and wrote up a review which I am going to submit to the site. I felt really motivated today. I actually got a bunch of stuff done. I made some new wallpapers, greetings, wrote up a draft for an article and worked on a piece of fan art. Needless to say I am feeling so much better today. ^_^
After all the events in my life I have noticed that my online friends have been equally supportive to me as those friends who I actually see in person. For that I am very grateful. This began the gears in my head a-turning. The internet, it's a bizarre thing isn't it?. We have gone from only visiting and associating with those within our immediate area to now having a global community. There are many pluses and minuses to this. Those who prey on children and those who con people with fake emails saying they need to "update account information" from some company. Yet there is so much good out there too. We meet people from around the world with similar interests as our own. You really get the feeling you are not alone. No, not in that paranoid stalker kind of way, but the warm blanket of friendship way.
Speaking of friends, let's have a nice friendly bishie break!
Despite having different personalities, they are still friends.
Now, your question of the day! Do you consider your online friends the same as your offline friends? Have you ever had an online relationship?
Number one reason not to have an online relationship.
I consider my online friends the same as my offline friends. I don't change who I am or how I act online from the way I act in real life. Those of you have have met me in person I am sure will vouch for me there. ::eyes everyone she has met:: Right you guys! I treat my friends online like I treat my friends offline. I only wish I could give you guys big hugs when you are feeling bad. I also love meeting my online friends whenever I get a chance. I have gone to many different states to meet up with friends I have made online. I have never been disappointed. ^_^
As for online relationships. I have never had one. I was chatting with John about this earlier. If we weren't married we would both have used the internet to meet people. I know of many great pairings from the internet, but also many scary stories as well. I guess you just need to watch out for yourself. It's like if you went to a bar to meet someone. How do you know they aren't some serial killer? At least on the internet you have time to "get to know" someone. When it comes to meeting you can arrange something safe, like meeting in a group or something.
I guess it just comes down to the fact you just have to watch out for yourself no matter what. Now stop thinking about the naked guy. Let's move along to the next part of my post.
Now it is time for your Bizarre and Unusual Holiday reminder! November 23 is "National Cashew Day" and You're Welcome Day"!
Unfortunately I can't celebrate "Cashew Day" since John is allergic to cashews. Cashews are related to Poison Ivy and John will have a poison ivy type reaction on his lips if he eats cashews. Also in the same plant family are mangos. So needless to say there are no cashews or mangos in my home. If I eat them, then kiss John, he will break out with painful sores. It is not a pretty sight. >_<
But I will help you all celebrate "You're Welcome Day" by thanking you all for visiting my site today. I appreciate all the visits and reading your responses to my silly questions. I also wanted to thank all of you who have voted on my latest couple of pieces of fan art. If you haven't seen them yet you can check them out in my Fan Art Gallery. You guys are the best!
Panda Bath Sponge!
Oh here is a bath sponge you can use while you take a really hot shower to wash away the nasty feelings you have after seeing the "online relationship guy". He's a whole lotta lovin'. ~_^
Well, I guess that is about it. I know many of you are gearing up for the Thanksgiving holiday and will be traveling. I wish you safe travels. Thanks again for all the support. You guys are really true friends. I love you all!
