   Home Sweet Home

Welcome! Please come on in!

I decided to do this one room a day. I figured I would give you a tour just like I would for someone who is visiting my home in person. The very best place to start is where you would come in -- The front door! Enjoy and welcome to my little cozy home. Hey, it's only John, the dogs, cats and me, we really don't need a huge house. Plus, I don't think I could keep up maintaining a house bigger than what we are in! Again, welcome to my place and make yourself at home!

Standing by the front door.

This is taken from the front door. The first room you walk into is the Living Room. It's really just a small front room that we rarely use. As you can see on the opposite wall of the front door is John's piano. This piano is really old. Much older than any of us that's for sure. On the top are a bunch of pictures. I love pictures. On the shelf to the left of the piano is a Japanese doll, Maneki Neko (good luck cat statue) and some more pictures. To the right is the dining room. You can see my table, chairs and my "china" cabinet that I keep some of my Hakata Doll collection in. All my china and crystal is stored away underneath in the cabinet part. I would rather look at the dolls than plates and glasses.

The wall to the right of the front door.

As you can see this wall has one of our sofas, a hope chest with decorative cranes and a large Japanese plate on top. Above that is a silk needlepoint of a Giant panda and kind of cut off on the left is a large antique Chinese silk with pandas on it. The kimono hanging on the wall was mine from when I was little. On the wall to the right is the front window, wooden antique chair and antique sewing table.

Front door.

Now you can see where I took the other two pictures from! The antique chair and sewing table. Buddha is hanging out on top of the sewing table. There is a mirror/key hook above that. If you look closely you can see my car keys hanging on the right hook. It has a panda keychain! The Japanese screen looking thing has a "secret", you'll just have to wait until later to find out what. To the right of that there is a long wall scroll on the angled wall that leads into a hallway. You can see the end of the piano again in the foreground to the right.

Who's here?!

Well, that is it for the front room. Like I said we don't really spend much time in this room. It's kind of a strange little room and I am just not sure what to do about it. Since the front door is there and there really isn't much of a foyer. Any furniture put in the middle of the room just feels out of place and in the way. Meh. Brynner and Heston love this room since the front window is really big so they can look outside and watch the neighborhood. I think they spend the most time in this room.

Aaryanna: I appreciate the well wishes. Lord knows I need them! I just hate not having access to the internet. I think it is kind of funny how when I know I can't get online I think of things I need to look up on the net. LOL

SunfallE: That funky thing with my fingers was weird. The rest of the night until about 4am this morning they were all tingly. They feel fine now. Weird huh.

indifference: I hope you like the first set of pictures I posted. I always love it when people post pictures. It just gives you an extra connect with that person. ^_^

TheMouse: You have already been here. The picture of the boys I actually asked them: "Is Shawn here?" and they went to take a look. I know, mean of me to do, but I needed a picture!

CosmicSailor: The Graduate is one of those movies everyone needs to see. It is a classic and is referenced in so many other things like movies, jokes and music. It's a must see. Heck, they made reference to it in the second Wayne's World movie!

Mamma Vash: Zucchini parmesan...that sounds absolutely devine! This summer, for the first time in ages, I didn't have an overabundance of zucchini. I now have a craving for zucchini...

RIN21: ::huggles back::

ShikyoKasu: It really does suck to not be able to connect to the internet. It's strange to think of how dependent we have become on the internet.

Ayame-meimei: You know what I really hate, when my foot falls asleep and gets all tingly. Even worse is when you don't realize that it's asleep until you try to walk. Argh! I hate tingly feet and fingers!

celestialcharm: I know if I were your friend I would be very motivated to get the work done!

MiasmaMoon: Oh, if I were to meet a group of fellow MyO-ers I would: 1) Go out to eat! I always love eating and chatting (not at the exact same time, you know what I mean.) Food tastes much better with good company and great conversation. 2) Go to Anime Expo. I guess that means we all need to be in Anaheim, California. This of course means...3) Go terrorize the theme parks. John loves roller coasters so, hopefully someone in the group would be willing to ride with him. I don't do roller coasters. 4) I would introduce everyone to all the people I know in the anime industry who are at the con. There are always a few voice actors I know running around. In the case of Vic Mignogna he was literally running when I bumped into him. LOL And the last thing would be...5) Take lots and lots of pictures so we will all have something to look at to remember our fun time.

YueMoon: Of course I still have my coffee theme still up. I am not sure what theme I am going to next. Perhaps something wintery...festive...holiday-esque....I don't know. Perhaps I should have one of you guys design my site...perhaps a contest...hmm...something to think about....
