   No Reservations Needed

Dining room tables are more than just a place to eat.

As promised here is my dining room. Smaller than the Living Room but definitely used much more than that front room. Friends and family come over, we fill that table up with lots of food and pack a few more chairs around the table. Lucky it has an extra leaf that can be added in or it would be very snug! This room to me, even though small, is filled with happy memories.

From the Living Room.

Here is a picture of my little dining room. You can see the Chinese panda silk much better in this picture. The silk was a gift from a former employer of mine and my father-in-law made the frame. To the left of that is a window then there is my China Cabinet. To the left of the China Cabinet is the entrance to the Family Room. The table really doesn't have much of a story behind it. We eat our meals here and love gathering around it to play games. There is just something really wonderful about eating a great meal with friends and family then playing games for hours. ^_^

From the Family Room.

I was just thinking. I don't do much "living" in the Living Room. Most of my time is spent in the "Family Room". Who came up with the room names anyway? Den? Family Room? Living Room? Rec. Room? I'm guessing it's some real estate person trying to make a house more attractive to buyers. Back on topic, this next picture I took from the "Family Room" towards the "Living Room". On the far left of the picture you can see part of one of my Hakata Dolls.

I am sure you guys noticed how tall my dogs are. Well, when you are sitting at the table eating there are always at least one pair of begging eyes peering over the table at you. They don't steal food but they sure do know how to pour on that "oh poor me, I'm so hungry" guilt trip. I really should get a picture of them peering over the table, it really is cute. I guess that is about it for the Dining Room. Tomorrow's update I'll show all of you the Family Room!

SugarCrazyGurl: Thanks! ^_^

indifference: The worst thing about the "boys" being able to look out the window is they watch me drive away when I leave the house. I will look in my rearview mirror and still see them watching me drive away. It always makes me feel bad.

Mimmi: ::huggles back:: You just need to make the long trek over here and visit with us in person!

Solo Tremaine: There is just something about that couch that makes people want to sleep on it. Of course the dogs will probably want to crawl up there with you.

TheMouse: Hey, you are the one who left. They are just waiting for you to come back. D'oh! You gave away the secret about the screen!

ShadowLight: My pups are really sweet. They are wonderful to hug since they are so big and cuddly. ^_^

CosmicSailor: Get this, last night my hubby was singing Sound of Silence when he came home from work. I was thinking how odd it was we have been chatting about S&G and he was singing one of their songs. LOL

P-chansacutie: In my old neighborhood we had tons of squirrels and they would taunt the dogs all day long. Running along the fence line doing their little chirping...it would drive my pets crazy!

BankofKev: You shall see the mystery behind the door in tomorrow's update. Perhaps it's a shrine to the "Guy with an Idea"!

celestialcharm: Oh it is so not clean. I really need to get on the ball and work on my dusting, vacuuming...etc. I don't have a garden - yet. I want to get a little raised garden in the backyard but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I just need more time, money and energy!

red tigress: My dogs shed like crazy! I just luck out that their fur matches the carpet so well. You can't tell as easily that it is "fur lined". LOL I vacuum lots, but there always seems to be an abundance of pet hair around this place.

MiasmaMoon: You know you are going to get me in trouble with this questions since I know I am going to forget someone. Let me see, I am assuming you mean see in person and not just pictures. TheMouse, SetoKaibaFreak, BankofKev, Kieri Norou, Mamma Vash and Novapup. If I forgot you, sorry!

BunnieGirl: It's kind of tough owning my own home since there are so many things you have to pay for. No matter if you are moving in to a newly built home or one that has a few years on it, there are plenty of things you end up having to fix. It's all worth it in the end, but this is all money that could go towards buying anime! lol

childofserenity: Thanks for the compliments. I really do love that window. We set up our Christmas tree in front of that window and it looks really pretty from outside at night when we have the lights on. That window is very cool.

Aaryanna: Dog lovers are always welcome. Just remember that my dogs think they are lap dogs. Big dogs that think they are little lap dogs usually ends up with someone getting knocked over. The good thing, if you fall on them they don't get hurt since they are so big. They are actually pretty squishy when you fall on them. Needless to say, they have knocked me over a few times. lol
