   Cooking is so fun!

Pandas love to eat!

I really don't know what to write about right now. I feel like the post needs a witty intro, but I can't think of one. So I will leave you with this bit of advice:

Never argue with an idiot, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Now let's get started on the grand kitchen tour!

From the family room.

Ah, the place John loves to hang out: The Kitchen. This picture is taken from the family room. Starting from the left you can see the half wall between the dining room and the kitchen. I like to lean up against this wall and watch John cook. As you can see the sink is by that short wall. You can also see the top of the most used appliance in my kitchen, my coffee pot! to the right of that are some glass canisters that hold pastas and fresh herbs. Of course next to that is the stove. On the counter next to the stove is a bunch of odds and ends. A canister that holds cooking utensils including a bunch of bamboo chopsticks -- since we all know that they are a must for cooking! Next to that is a bowl that holds some bagels, a cookie jar that is filled with dog biscuits then a series of baskets that have all my medications, syringes and other medical junk. I keep them here since I have to eat when taking many of the meds AND the moisture in bathrooms is bad for the medications. So there they sit, on the kitchen counter. What I love about my kitchen is the tons of cabinet space.

From the dining room.

This is a side view of my kitchen taken from the dining room. You can see some more canisters, the microwave and the side of the refrigerator. As you can see my fridge has a bunch of magnets and stuff stuck to it. Magnets include kitty cats, airplanes, School House Rock, magnets from our travels and of course, pandas. Some of the pictures and stuff hanging up include a picture of John and I in Chicago, the dogs, the dog's friends (we had a dog party with 6 big dogs here...it was insane!) and a picture of me in NY with the World Trade Center behind me. It's sad to think that future generations will never see those towers except in pictures and stories of 9/11. Sad. Back on the tour. On the front of the fridge is all magnet poetry tiles. One of the current one is an ode to our favorite drooling, shedding boy Brynner and reads:

Drool falls from his tongue
Fluff from his butt
He has feet you cannot fiddle with

Bun Bun, being mixed with Chow Chow has a thick undercoat that sheds in clumps...thus, the clumps of fur he sheds from his hind end is butt fluff. He also hates having his feet messed with. If you try to touch them he pulls away. I wonder if they are ticklish? Why am I talking about Brynner's butt fluff when I am suppose to be giving you guys a tour or my kitchen? Anyway, you can see the hallway that goes towards the rest of the house.

Tomorrow I will show you guys the hallways, guest bathroom and utility room.

SomeGuy: What am I going to do with you boys! Solo want to sleep on my living room couch and you want to sleep on my family room couch! You guys, I have two guest rooms you can use!! I do have beds for guests to sleep in, but if you are fine with a couch then it's all yours! Oh and one more thing my dearest. I deem thee "Grand Duke of the Groove" since "Lord of the Dance" has already been taken. For only you can get your groove on so groovaliciously. Rock on James, rock on.

This groove is for you.

DeadlyNightShade: Welcome back to the world of the internet! I have no idea how you survived so long without being able to be on the internet. You rock! I think I would have gone bonkers! Welcome back and glad to see you posting again on theO!

ShadowLight: Another fan of my couch! Yes, the dogs are fun to snuggle up against when napping. They keep you nice and toasty warm. They are soft and cuddly. Doesn't that thought just give you the warm fuzzies!

BankofKev: You have to wait a bit longer to find out what's behind the secret door. I have to have a hook to keep you coming back to my blog now don't I! ~_^ I will guarantee that behind the screen is a No HOBO Zone! Panda's house is HOBO free. The dogs make sure that HOBO doesn't invade my home.

ShikyoKasu: I am a pack rat, collector of anything and everything. Before you know it you will end up with a bunch of stuff. Now here is something for you to think about. My laptop is my very first computer that I can claim as my own. All the ones I had before were hand-me-downs and I've never had a new one to call my own until this one. I'm almost 30. We all want everything now, but good things come to those who wait.

CosmicSailor: We are in the same boat. I am really good when it comes to playing an instrument, but can't get my voice to do the same. It's just not fair.

BunnieGirl: He is pretty much a happy boy all the time. ^_^

MiasmaMoon: Perhaps it was me. Who knows where I wander around.

P-chansacutie: That is so true about the guys needing room. When they start to play ball there is lots of yelling, laughing and moving around. You think they were actually playing a real life football game!

indifference: I love having blankets all around my house. My couch in the living room has 2, the one in the family room has 2 and the futon in the spare room has two. You can never have too many comfy warm blankets around.

SunfallE: I will have to stop by and take a look. I've only spent a few weeks in Utah. It's pretty there. I will visit your site right now! ^_^
