Homework is evil!!!... yes... well I did have two weeks to do it all, but I was busy, ok?!.....

Oh well, I'm nearly finished now anyway. Just have to finish and print some research then practice my speech a bit.

*grumble*my new English teacher is a bit too British for her own good (no offense to any British people out there, but my teacher is very very strict)*/grumble*

Might as well enjoy my holiday as it lasts... :(

   Muahahaha!
I just won 3 duels in a row against my friend who has a new deck. But I suppose it's not that fair considering that her cards were fake... Oh yes, I have a deck. It's a Joey starter deck wif some extras (not much). My friend demands a rematch... but I cant be bothered unless she makes her deck better, otherwise it's too easy. Her strategies are way too slow, in the last duel I beat her in three turns (I drew Maha Vailo & Malevolent Nuzzler in the first go). Also she had too many themes so the cards didn't support eachother. She said that she can't decide whether to have a fairy theme, amazoness theme or one of those spirit themes (monsters where you have to take cards out of play from the graveyard to summon)... Hm... Ra...

   Yugioh dub rant

Ok, I have nothing to do right now so I'm going to rant a bit today...

Dubbed Yugioh:
This is really really really unneccessary, stupid and lame. I mean, Yugioh isn't as dubbed as say... DBZ, but that's because it doesn't really have any voilence in it. It's not like DBZ where people actually hit eachother and stuff. So what did they do? First, they dubbed out the guns (ALL of them). Then, they change the duel punishments... It's really stupid.

Guns:
1) In the Duelist Kingdom Arc ep where the Big 5 of Kaiba Corp send goons to capture Kaiba (hey I don't remember all the ep numbers!) The two goons point their guns at Kaiba. Only they dubbed out the guns completely so that they're just pointing their fingers at Kaiba. How is that supposed to be threatening again?
2) At Duelist Kingdom after Joey defeats Bandit Keith, Keith jumps in front of Pegasus and points a gun at his head. But since they dubbed out the gun he's just pointing his finger at Pegasus. Which makes the scene completely lame and stupid. Again, how is a finger supposed to be threatening?
3) After Duelist Kingdom when Kaiba got trapped in the virtual world and Yugi-tachi went to save him. There was one scene when Yugi, Joey & Mokuba were in the pods and Tea & Tristan were blocking the door from a goon squad. The squad were supposed to have guns and were supposed to stand outside the door pointing their guns at the ground to avoid shooting eachother like all good goons do. Only without the guns they look absolutely ridiculous. It's like those little kids who play pretend with finger guns.

Duel Punishments
In the three duels in Battle City where Yugi battled against Marik's slaves (Yugi vs Arcana/Pandora; Yugi & Seto vs Umbra & Lumis; Yugi vs slave Joey). Only the last one (Yugi vs slave Joey) had its original punishment (fall into the ocean & drown). And that's because they needed it for the drama of Joey saving Yugi then Serenity saving Joey. I mean the Lumis and Umbra one was just stupid! If you're standing on thin glass 50 storeys up and the glass breaks, of course you're gonna fall to your death! Not fall into some lame 'Shadow Realm'. And the whole spinning dark energy disk thing with Arcana/Pandora... That was just completely idiotic.

And what about ep 53 where Yugi asked Tea out for his Yami? What's wrong with that??? It's not like they were going to seriously "do" anything...

Seriously, what do those dubbers take us anime fans for? We're not 7 yrs old! How many times do people have to tell them that Anime does not equal Cartoons?? I don't mean to be America-bashing but I think the Japanese were very smart in taking up animation. I mean, it *is* way cheaper. Not like those Hollywood blockbusters where the millions and billions of $$$ equal goodness. Don't those people see how smart the Japanese are? I mean, changing a few things the characters say or stuff like signs because of culture or language differences is ok (ie. When Kaiba went to the museum to meet Ishizu/Isis the sign on the front of the museum says 'Domino Museum' instead of something Japanese. It's not very well done but we understand.) But making things seem less dangerous for Yugi & co. is just completely ridiculous. It ruins the whole story and all the careful effects and heart-gripping dangers that those Japanese creators so carefully put in. And about the guns, just who out there would actually want to become one of those goons anyway?

   YAY!!! Guestbook!!
Time: 11.28am, Monday 22 Sep (Hey! It's the holidays ok? I am *not* wagging school.)

Yay!! I have a guestbook entry!!! Finally... I wonder if whoever signed the guestbook know who Pex is in Artemis Fowl? Maybe they already know... But just in case, Pex (& partner Chips) work for Jon Spiro and are both really stupid. No offence to my first guestbook writer.

Last night I went to see an exhibit/show thingy in central Auckland called Sticky. It's really really really cool. It's like an entire tower bult wif cellotape. And then the windows lit up & fireworks went off & flame shooters went poof & fizzy things went whoosh & swirl & music & lighting & helium balloons at the end all together. It was a really cool show & it took ages for my mum to realise that the fairy person that got lifted 20m up in the air was a real person not a doll. You just had to be there coz it wasn't just all at once, it was actually choreographed real good wif a story & everything. Plus also the new Britomart (I saw the show just outside that place) is quite cool too. I got to see the inside wif all the tracks from these cool domey-windowy things. I thought I saw a person tho..... hm........................

Anyway, me goin to see Finding Nemo tommorrow... I heard it's good.

Note to self: Reading Plans 2nd time, up to chp 6 now... Hahaha.... Yami Bakura the ever famous Joan of Arc... That'll be the day............

   Braces off in two weeks
Current Time: 7:34pm Tues 16 Sep (I've decided to put in the time coz of the whole time zone diff thing)
I had an orthodontist appointment this afternoon & the orthodontist told me that I can get my braces off in two weeks!!! (Yes I do have braces, I've had them since April last year.) Yay!!!

Yugioh today: Joey get mobbed by rare hunters wif Exodia cards. Serenity gets operation... bla.

Note: Sushi lunch tomorrow. Yummy!!!
