Portuguese restaurant night!!!!!!
I went to my first Portuguese restaurant tonight with only my dad and i didnt really no what the difference between that and any other type of restaurant was so i wasn't suspecting much. Walked in after passing the bar full of smoke (i hate smokeing) and sat down in the back room which was considered the dinning room. Im being serious, they actually had nerve to lable a door with huge black letter that said DINNING ROOM. Didnt have to wait at all to get seated so that was a plus, and not only did they give us bread to start out with but salad was given out to start off with as well for free.

I looked at the menu and realized...damn theres nothing but seafood on this list. Im Italian so i was hoping they would have possibly something on this menu in the form of a pasta or shell (noodle kind that is that is). Unfortunantly there wasn't even one on there. So i decided to get the "Breaded shrimp" since i love shrimp like i love paintball. Ok that was a pretty crappy comparison, but the portions we were given (my dad ordered some freaky looking pot full of lobster, scallion, oysters, etc.) were pretty big. I got like some fresh carrots, (i hate them but they werent bad this time) string beans, rice, and, im taking a guess at this, some form of corn chips. Along with that came the main ingredient which was 8 pieces of huge breaded shrimp. Way to much for me to handle considering i had a lot of bread and salad. It was good but not my type of style since i always crave Italian food.

After that i bought some desert (such a crappy selection to choose from) and got the so called "New York Cheese Cake". Now i have had my share of cheese cake in the past and this on sucked ass. It was terrible compared to the Cheesecake Factory in NJ/NY. Also compared to other places this wasn't that good.

Thats basically what i did all day today was sit back and go to a restaurant... Portuguese that is.
