The Dark Wars written by me (rewritten)
In my bed I turned and tossed,
weeping for the troops we lost.
Now it's time to take a stand,
against the bloody wars of man.
I and many others ask,
these questions about t11he dreadful task.
What are we fighting for?
Why must we kill?
Is there a purpose of war?
Or are we fighting for thrill?
What is winning, if lives are lost?
And the loss of soldiers, is such a horrifying cost.
Still I wonder why we fight,
maybe out of greed and spite.
I still lie crying in my bed,
because troops march full of dread,
into battle, soon to be dead.
