Hey everyone. Today has been good. It was my brother's birthday today (Thursday, July 27) so we went to The Olive Garden for lunch. I love that place so waking up to a trip there was a good thing.
From there, I went over to Andrew's house for a little while. We worked out some details of his new World of Warcraft character and played some video games. Yeah, a pretty standard trip over there but that's not a bad thing. Video games are something we both like and considering it actually gives us something to do, I don't think that will change any time soon.
While I'm thinking about World of Warcraft, I've noticed a couple of people who said they wanted to give it a shot. To anyone who is interested, I can send you a free 10-day pass to try it out. Just let me know if you want one - all I need is an email address.
Anyway, I left Andrew's a little early to get home for dinner which consisted of pizza with some of my brother's friends. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be though - they spent most of their time out of the house ^_^ Plus, I ate in the living room with my mom so that further lessened the annoyance of having multiple brother's friends in the house.
By the way, I'm leaving for the beach tomorrow (Friday) where I'll be spending the next week. I'll have internet access while I'm there so I shouldn't disappear completely but chances are, I won't be on as much until I get back. I'll do my best to try to make it to sites and stuff but besides the possible lack of time, I'll also be on a non-broadband connection (a wireless card which is about four times faster than dial-up) so very image-heavy sites will take a while to load.
And that's really about all I can think of for tonight. So on that note, thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hey everyone. Today was pretty much exactly the same as yesterday, which is a good thing. It started out with me waking up and just going down stairs to watch TV for a little while. My brother was already down there, my dad was at work, and my mom was at a friend's house.
Following TV came Oblivion. I finished a quest for the Fighters Guild and started a new one which turned out to be a little more difficult than I expected. For this one, I'm with the Guildmaster's only remaining son and I have to make sure he survives as we venture into an enemy infested cave. These aren't your standard enemies though - they're quite a bit stronger.
Anyway, from there, I went on to World of Warcraft for a little while. I finally finished a quest I had on there forever. It hit me today why no matter how good Oblivion is, it will never compare to World of Warcraft. It's because WoW is online and you're playing with other people in real time. For instance, the quest I was working on today, I should have easily been able to do alone. I just had to protect one woman while fending off a bunch of enemies. In the process though, I accidentally stood too close to her and they attacked her and she died. Because it's a quest, she re-spawned a little later though so no worries there. Here's where the online part comes in though - on my way to this woman's house, I saw someone who was in a little over his head. So, I stopped, healed him, took out the remaining enemies that were surrounding him, and continued on my way. Well he ended up over where I was after I failed the quest for the first time and stuck around to help me with it the second time around. That's what makes games like this so great - interaction between players and the general kindness that exists among them (this quest was class specific so he could get nothing out of helping me besides maybe a little loot). So yeah, World of Warcraft was fun today ^_^
And to finish out the day, Paul stopped by again. I forgot to mention that he's here until August 28th because his uncle got him a job in the city. Because of that, he's not around during the day but gets back around 5:30. He's a big fan of the Dead or Alive series and had to try Dead or Alive 4 while he was here. He caught on pretty quickly so that was fun. I've got a feeling that most of my days for the next month are going to end like this too which is great considering I haven't seen him in two years.
Oh, and at some point during the day, I took a random trip to Radio Shack to look for a cable which I found and bought for $0.97 ($1.04 with tax). Turns out it was discontinued, which is why I bought a second (I already had one). When I originally bought it, it was $5 but since they stopped making they've come down quite a bit.
Anyway, that's all for tonight. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hey everyone. Today actually shaped up pretty nicely. As usual, it started out with me doing almost nothing. I came online for a little while, visited everyone who updated, and read up on some stuff. Come to think of it though, I honestly can't remember what I did for the rest of the day.
Come dinner though, my mom had asked me if I had heard from Paul, my friend form Ireland. See, he's in the U.S. right now but his uncle got him a job in the city so he's a bit difficult to get a hold of. So, I told her that I've seen him on and off online but I wasn't sure what was going on yet. Not more than five minutes after that conversation, he shows up at the front door. For those who remember, he was here the night before I left for WPI and this is the first time I've seen him since. Turns out he was in Georgia this whole time, which would explain the difficulty in contacting him. So yeah, that was random but fun.
Oh, and I noticed a lot of you who seemed to be relieved that it's "only a fracture." I thank you for your concern but I think it's important to point this out. A fracture is a break. It can range anywhere from hair-line to full separation. In Jessica's case, there is a crack running across her heel and if she's not careful, it could completely separate. I'm not saying this to try to put any of you down though. I always thought a fracture was less serious too but I later found out that I was wrong. So yeah, just keep that in mind if you ever hear of a bone being fractured. The term is usually used to refer to a less serious break but it's a break none the less.
Anyway, that's about it for tonight. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hey everyone. Today went pretty well. I woke up and just laid there for a good half hour because I just didn't feel like getting up. From there, I came downstairs to see what was going on and realized no one else was home. So, I went back upstairs and played World of Warcraft for quite a while. You tend to lose track of time in a game like that.
At around 4:30, I gave Erik a call and went over to his house. I ended up eating dinner there and then we played random DS games for a while. Jessica, his girl friend, was also with us and even joined in on the DS gaming for a little while (she used Erik's while he cleaned up his room a bit). Oh, and for anyone who actually remembers when I mentioned that she may have broken her foot, it is fractured but she said it doesn't hurt so that's good.
And that's really about it for today. It seems that summer leaves me with a lot of short posts but I guess that just makes it easier on you guys ^_^ Anyway, thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hey everyone. Today was pretty good. I finally got out of the house ^_^ Andrew called a little after I woke up and I ended up going over to his house. We spent a good portion of the day playing through Metal Gear Solid 2 pretty much for the story. I never really realized how in-depth that story got though - it's like playing through a good movie.
Other than that, we didn't do too much else. We both decided to start playing World of Warcraft again though. He just has to think of a name for his new character and we'll be in business. Well that and he could really use a new computer ^_^
Anyway, it seems I'll be leaving you with another short post tonight. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hey everyone. Today ended up being pretty good. I woke up and found out that we were having my brother's family birthday party today. So, my dad and I ran to Best Buy so I could pick up a present for him. Talk about last minute... It's not my fault no one told me it was today though. Either way, I picked up a gift and he had it on time so nothing went wrong.
That was pretty much all I did today. My dad and I had a pretty interesting conversation about current situations going on within his company. I must say, none of what he told me makes any sense, to either of us. It seems like one person is just being stupid and causing problems that don't need to exist. Sorry, I'm just sort of rambling now. This entire paragraph is probably really confusing because I can't really go into detail at the moment.
Well, that's really about all I can think of for tonight. Thanks for reading, and for the comments on the new layout. Have a great day!

Hey everyone. As you've probably noticed by now, the new layout is complete. It took a lot of work to get some of it up and running but it was fun so all is well. Also, and I forgot to mention this yesterday, but the tutorial is done and ready for testing. Again, any one willing to read through it, try to follow it, and tell me what, if anything, needs changing, please just tell me. I'd appreciate any help I can get testing it out. Oh, and Sw33tZ, you mentioned you'd be willing to run through it. That would be great - everything is ready whenever you are and thanks in advance.
Other than that, today was again pretty uneventful. I finally got a chance to play Oblivion again though which was fun. I haven't played since before I left two weeks ago and really wanted to get back to it. There's something about that game which is just really addictive.
The only other thing worth mentioning is that my brother's friend is staying for the night. This isn't too bad though as this is my brother's only friend that I can stand to be around. Plus, they're off playing video games and not bothering me which helps.
Oh, there is one more thing worth mentioning. Alexa, thank you for all of your image finding, the avatar, the buttons, and the general sitting through my layout creation process with your input.
Well, that's all for tonight. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hey everyone. Today was actually pretty good. Chris and I went over to Game Stop and spent a good portion of the day there. I went to check on some reservations. I also picked up Sonic Rush for DS and renewed my subscription to Game Informer. The rest of the time was spent just talking with employees I know who work there, which was fun.
The rest of the day didn't consist of much but it wasn't bad. I played Sonic Rush for a little while which is good. They went back to Sonic's roots so it's finally another game where I can hold right and not worry about running off of a cliff or into spikes or an enemy or wall. Plus, the new graphics are nice. So, if you're an original Sonic fan, this game is worth it.
I also tried to get some of my reading done but my brother and his friend prevented that pretty well. I need it to be quiet for me to be able to read and they were making a lot of noise, including playing the drums at one point. Oh well, the rest of the day was still good.
And as you can probably tell, at the time of this writing anyway, my layout is undergoing many changes. It will probably take a while but it should be done by the end of the night. Just bear with me.
So, that's it for now. I really have to get to work on this layout since I'm sort of falling behind. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hey everyone. I was finally able to get out of the house today. My friend, Chris, and I got bored so we took a trip to the mall. It's one of the only things to do around here but it usually ends up being pretty entertaining so I guess that's not a bad thing. Most of the time, we end up in Sharper Image for quite a while, playing with pretty much everything in the store and testing out every iPod speaker system in the room.
Other than that though, today was uneventful. Before I left for the mall, I was pretty much sitting around doing nothing. I did get a little of my book read for school though. I'm reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest which seems like it will be pretty interesting.
I also re-wrote my music script and am currently in the middle of re-writing the tutorial. This is taking a lot longer than I thought it would though. And because it's being re-written, I'll once again be looking for someone to read it over and try it to see if there's anything that needs to be changed. Let me know if you're interested.
That's really about it for tonight though. Thanks in advance to any volunteers and have a great day!

Hey everyone. Thank you for all of your kind words yesterday. I'm feeling almost back to normal now so hopefully, I should be back to 100% soon. I'm at like 95% though so that's good ^_^
Today was another pretty uneventful day. I do have some good news though. The one thing I did end up doing today was go check in at Staples and see if there was any chance of me still getting a job. They said they're still looking for people but there are managers on vacation for the next two weeks so I can't get an interview until the beginning of August. This is perfect though because I'll be back from the beach on August 5th! Things are finally starting to work in my favor.
Other than that, not much else has been happening. There's been a lot of laying around, watching TV, and reading. That's really all you can do while you're recovering. It's been driving me insane though. I've wanted to go out and do something for a while which I will hopefully be able to do tomorrow.
But yeah, that's about it. Thanks again for the well wishes and have a great day!
