   Final fantasy VII
Did you know that the name Sephiroth actually comes from the hebrew? Well it does. Sephiroth is the hebrew word for spheres, and why spheres? It probably has to do with the sephirotic tree which is like the blueprints that God used to create the universe. This information was taken out of the Torah. Using mathematical algorithms the rabies achieved to understand past the letters, and their result is this tree.
The sephirothic tree is composed by 10 spheres which describe a cicle, each sphere is called sephira.

Which relation does this has with FF7? I really donīt know, maybe they just named the character that way so that it seemed more mysterious, or maybe because as Sephiroth is this almighty guy, it represents like the life cicle.

The story of the game is also mysterious. The Aztec Temple, the life stream, Genova... It sounds to me like an alegory to a teluric theory made up by some ocultists. Genova is also the italian city in which Cristopher Columbus was born. He discovered America, and the Aztec Temple... I don't know why squaresoft made all this resemblances, have you any idea?
