Sorry I haven't posted for a bit...
I'll just sum this all up in a few words, as always.

Went to my Grandpa's funeral... Sad time.
Got baptized.
Made a new friend... That doesn't happen very often.

Rune, Part 4
*yawns* Wondering how long this'll take? Read and see.

Only moments after the demons disappeared, Rune and the others arrived. At once, they noticed everything that had happened.
“Elder!” Nuphotak shrieked as he ran to the elder’s side.
“We… were no… match… for… ugh…” The elder began, but never finished.
“Hello, Luthien,” A voice spoke,” little sister.”
“I- Infini? Brother!” Luthien shrieked.
At that moment, Sairga caught a glimpse of Infini. His mind flared. The memories of that fateful day came flooding back to him; his sister running towards him, then screaming as Infini attacked her, how he rushed towards her but was flicked away like a lifeless doll, how her screams echoed through his head until they suddenly stopped, how darkness enveloped him, and how he could see nor hear no more. He leaped off the cliff and soared towards him.
“I knew you’d be here, you bastard! Your time is up!” Sairga exclaimed.
“You killed the elder!” Nuphotak shouted.
“I think you may want to stay away from him, Nuphotak,” Rune softly whispered to the human/dragon hybrid, “I am the only one who has the true right to kill him.”
Sairga finally reached his target. He swiped madly with his sword, everything being fueled by his rage and hate for Infini. Although, before he landed a blow, Infini disappeared. Sairga then turned to Rune.
“Where did he go!?” Sairga fiercely yelled.
“I don’t know.” Rune replied.
“But you have to know!” Sairga yelled, “That is his sister! If you won’t tell me, I will have to kill you all!”
“That is tough talk coming from a little human like you, isn’t it?” Nuphotak chuckled.
“I am not a human!” Sairga snapped as he extended his wings.
“Oooh. So you aren’t a human. But you cannot stand up to my power.”
“If you have enough agility,” Sairga began, as he appeared behind Nuphotak, “you won’t need to worry about how strong your opponent is.”
“But if you have power to back it up, “Sairga continued as he kicked Nuphotak to the ground, “you have less to worry about as you opponent has more.”
“So you want to give a lesson in life, don’t you? Dragons! Rise from the ashes of defeat!” Nuphotak commanded.
Slowly, dragon after dragon began to rise from the ruins of the once feared Dragon Clan. Although, there were very few of them rising. Even the ones that did were wounded.
“I know I’ve seen him somewhere…” Rune began, his voice soon trailing off.
“Do you think a few measly, near-death dragons can defeat me?” Sairga laughed, “You must be joking!”
“You’ll see. Just wait until the others get here.” Nuphotak chuckled.
“All of you! Stop!” Rune shouted.
“Why should I? Why can’t I kill all of you?” Sairga quickly snapped.
“You’re Sairga Karowind, aren’t you?”
“I am. So? What does my name mean to you?”
“It’s me, Rune, you were my pupil.”
“Rune… My teacher… I remember you.”
“You know him?” Luthien shrieked.
“Rune! You cannot tell me this beast is one of your own!” Nuphotak shouted.
“Look in a mirror, dragon. Now for you, Luthien, I believe, where is your brother?” Sairga asked, trying to be as polite as possible.
“You must give me a moment.” Luthien replied.
“Alright then. Rune, I have something to tell you.” Sairga began.
“I found him!” Luthien shrieked, “He’s… he’s at my parent’s home in the plains south of here.”
“Now that I know where you are, Infini, I can avenge my people!” Sairga shouted a he took to the air.
“Sairga! Wait!” Rune yelled as he began to follow him.
In a flash of light, Rune’s elegant white wings appeared from his back. With a mighty flag of his wings, he took to the air after Sairga.
“Luthien, stay here with my dragons!” Nuphotak shouted as he flew after them on a Salamander.
“Why am I always the one left behind?” Luthien sighed as she began to walk the beaten path towards the Healing Clan, “Maybe I should go back home. It’s not like Rune can do anything for me when he runs off like that. Stupid people… I can’t fly! COME BACK!”

“Get off me!” Sairga snapped as Rune grabbed his wing.
“I can’t let you fight him! At least, not without me…” Rune began.
“I am no longer a child, nor your pupil!” Sairga snapped, yet again, “I wish to do this alone!”
“Fine then. Go to your death. It is no longer my right to help you. If you wish to die, so be it.”
Rune quickly began to falter behind Sairga. He got farther behind them, soon, by Nuphotak. He quickly explained to him what was going on, but shouldn’t.
“I’ll follow him,” Nuphotak began, “and get him out of there if anything happens.”
“Unless you want to die as well, you can’t follow him.” Rune stated.
“Whether I like him or not, which I do as much as I do you, I cannot leave an ally to his death. It is in the code of the Dragon Clan.” Nuphotak stated.
“I guess you may go… Luthien and I shall be at the Healing Clan if anything happens. Come to think of it, knowing her, she’s probably on her way there already!” Rune laughed.

Rue, Part 3
Come on, people. It doesn't take long to give comments.

“So this is where the beast lives?” Rune asked, “This isn’t much of a place.”
“You should not make fun of the beast, nor his dwelling!” Nuphotak snarled.
“You need to lighten up, Nupho.”
“You should address me as Nuphotak, not Nupho.”
“Whatever. Let’s just get this “sacred treasure” back.”
“That’s fine with me. The quicker this is over, the quicker I can finish the Phoenix Clan.”
“The longer I’m with you, the longer you seem less and less able to take seriously.”
“Argh…”
Nuphotak commanded the Salamander to land, but as soon as they did, the Salamander turned to stone.
“What happened!?” Rune yelled.
“That is why our clan cannot fight here. It is a sacred land that no dragon can set foot on.”
“If you knew that, why did you command your dragon to land!?”
“I, just like the Salamander, shall only be petrified for mere moments before I shall be revitalized.”
“Then jump off. That way you can help me.”
“Alright!” Nuphotak yelled as he jumped off the Salamander, turning to stone.
“That’s a way to shut him up….Jeez.”
Rune began the trek up the mountain, to the area the beast dwells in. The trek was long and rough, but easy enough to be passed. Rune could have flown, but what was the point in doing that?
As Rune grew nearer, he could feel the evil swelling in one of the caves. Just as he neared it, however, it disappeared. When he looked in, all he found was an orb. He quietly moved towards it. Soon, close enough to pick it up, he reached out to it.
He felt a tap on his shoulder, and swirled around, drawing his sword, to meet his foe. He stood, hesitantly, as a malevolent beauty stood before him. Could this be the beast that supposedly stole their treasure?
“Took you long enough to get here, Rune…” The Woman spoke.
“Who are you, and how the hell do you know my name!?” Rune exclaimed.
“We haven’t seen each other for nine years now, so I guess I don’t blame you for not remembering me.”
“Nine years…? Is that you, Luthien…?”
“Stupid! Of course it is!”
“So, you stole their treasure just to lure me down here, is that so?”
“Uh huh.”
“What made you so sure that I would be the one to come?”
“I heard of your whereabouts in Rhea, and seeing as how powerful you were, I took the risk of doing this, instead of trying to reach that town before you left.”
“Took the risk…? You’re speaking as if you would die were we not to meet.”
“In a matter, yes, I would die… My brother Infini, something happened to him about three years ago. He suddenly acquired an unquenchable bloodlust, and killed my family, as well as everyone that could possibly stand in his way. I fear that I am next. I need your strength, Rune!”
“But, Luthien… You know that I am no match for your brother when I have to protect you as well. I don’t mean to sound like a coward, nor a great hero, but I don’t want you to be anywhere near us when we finally battle.”
“Whether you want me there or not, you know that I and my brother have a psychic link with one another. You know that I can feel his presence, and, if he is coming for me, the best place to be if you wish to fight him… would be by my side.”
“You truly are one vicious person with your words…”
“That settles it. No matter where my journey may lead, you shall stay by my side.”
“…Damn… As much as I like you, this’ll really be cramping my lifestyle for a while.”
The two old friends began to walk down the mountain, with minor difficulties. When finally reaching Nuphotak and the Salamander, both were still petrified.
“Only a few moments, aye?” Rune spoke, to himself.
“Just wait a few more minutes, Rune.” Luthien spoke
“Well, I guess I’ll wait for him to return to his normal state.”
After waiting for a few minutes, Nuphotak returned to his normal state. They soon set off, with Luthien, back to the Dragon Clan.

Up on the Cliffside, roughly two miles from the Dragon Clan, Sairga stood, watching, waiting, for Infini to appear. Unfortunately, only his demons did. Seeing only small game, Sairga did nothing as the Dragon Clan vanished from the world. In a matter of minutes, all that was left of a massive clan was rubble.

Rune, Part 2
Now that I look over my remade version, most of the wrk I did was near the end. I didn't change anything already here, but I added in some new stuff that those who have already read the story might enjoy.

Meanwhile, Rune and Nuphotak had finally reached their destination, the Dragon Clan. Compared to the small Phoenix Clan, the Clan of the Dragons was immense. Easily the size of a large city, this clan’s members were all the brightest and strongest dragon-wielding warriors in the realm. Hybrids, dragoons, and demi-wyverns walked the streets.
“Now, follow me to meet the elder,” Nuphotak began,” and hopefully you shall be smitten before you appear before him.”
“You aren’t a very social person, are you?” Rune chuckled.
Nuphotak lead Rune through a mass of hallways, seemingly in a never-ending maze. After a while of walking, they arrived at the elder’s chambers.
“Be polite, as best as you can, in the elder’s presence.” Nuphotak commanded as he pushed the doors opened and ushered Rune in.
“Ah! You must be the Phoenix Knight. Come closer, come closer...” The elder ordered.
Rune hesitantly approached the Dragon Clan elder, soon stopping mere feet away from him.
“Phoenix Knight, I have sent my loyal Nuphotak Megami to bring you here. I have a request of you. A vile beast has stolen a sacred treasure of the Dragon Clan. I would like you to retrieve it for me. You will be handsomely rewarded.”
“Why don’t you send your own men to do it?”
“The beast has seemed to be immune to the powers of my Dragon Clan.”
“And you have chosen me because…?”
“Because you are the strongest warrior we could reach in a short amount of time.”
“That makes me feel so “honored”… Oh, well… It sounds fun to me. Do you know where this “beast” is hiding?”
“There are mountains to the east of here. There is an area where there are many caves by one another. The beat lurks in those caves.”
“Are you sending me any allies? A guide wouldn’t hurt, just in case.”
“If it would be permissible with you, I was planning on sending Nuphotak to guide you.”
“Great... It’s alright with me, I guess.”
“Fine then. Be off.”
Rune exited the room with a smirk on his face. After much yelling and growling from Nuphotak, they left for the lair of the beast, leaving a trail of debris behind them.

“I told you! I don’t know where Infini is!” A man pleaded.
“I know you know. I’ll let you go if you tell me, but if you don’t…” Sairga threatened.
“I… He is supposed to be attacking the Dragon Clan as we speak.”
“Thank you for your cooperation.”
Sairga turned and began to walk away, but soon stopped. He turned around and walked back to the man. He outstretched his hand; it was now just before the man’s face. The fear in the man’s face was clear as Sairga fired a beam of energy.
“That was my Zomon Mizrinobu. How do you like it?” Sairga snickered, but obviously, there was no answer. “Just remember, fool, I never said how I’d let you go.”
Sairga chuckled as he walked into the sunlight from the dark house. In a blinding flash of light, Sairga extended his wings. His sleek, black wings were perfectly shaped for speed, like the wings of all Nightmares. He jumped, and soon took to the air. He flew towards the Dragon Clan, toward Infini. This time he would catch him, and get revenge for his fallen brethren… at any cost.

Rune, Part 1
This story is not a fanfic, as Shinimegami stated. This story is a Phoenix Blade original, and is copyright by law as mine. Any reproduction of part one, or each consecutive part, is forbidden by law, and you will be punished. Unless, of course, you have my permission. I wrote this two years ago, so it's not all that great compared to my others, but as I do these installments, I'm thinking of going over it a tad bit where I needed to cut off parts to get it finished(had a time limit). And now, Rune, the first installment...

Rune

Forsena… in a world infested with evil, the only hope of the people lied with a boy that was told to defeat it. The boy stood up to that evil. The people saw this and didn’t fear the evil any longer. Many years of happiness and prosperity followed.
Now, six hundred years later, this evil has been reborn. It has been reborn with even greater power and has been named Infini. The reincarnation of the boy has finally realized his destiny and searches for Infini, the great evil.

Screams of terror rang through the village of the Phoenix Clan. Many lives were lost in a single instant. People ran, but only to their death. The few lone people that stood up to the terror plaguing the city were quickly dispatched and their families were killed. There was only one that survived, and he barely did it. The only ones that survived besides that one person were away at the time. One of which was Rune Cuthalion, the reincarnation of the boy that vanquished the beast six hundred years ago. He now travels his journey to the town of Rhea where he has heard Infini has headed.
The sky was dark red, stained with the blood of Infini’s victims. The sky has been like this for many years now. Suddenly, the sky turned dark and it began to rain. Lightning struck and tree and a flaming branch fell to the side of Rune.
A long screech was heard and a man cloaked in darkness lunged at Rune. It was probably one of Infini’s followers. He unsheathed his sword to block the next strike, and was pushed into the flaming branch. He jumped and landed on a rock behind it. The creature stopped. It must be afraid of the flame. Rune picked up the branch and dashed toward the creature, but it ran.
Rune decided not to sleep that night. There may be more of those things. All he could think about was getting help from the nearest clan. He would have to pass through the town of Rhea to get there, though. He thought it would be best to stay there and rest at the inn.
The next day, Rune reached the gates of Rhea. It was still raining. That is strange because it rarely ever rains in this region. A man looked through a little window in the gate.
“Who are you!?” cried the guard, obviously frightened.
“I am the Phoenix Knight!” Rune answered.
“What… That name… could it be… Rune!”
“Just open the gate”
“Yes, Sir!”
The gate guard, reminiscent of what has happened to the Phoenix Clan, starts talking about it as he escorts Rune to the inn.
“Here we are, Rune. Welcome to the Lonely Dove Inn. By the way, some person from the Dragon Clan was looking for you.”
“That’s interesting. Thanks. I’ll look into it.”
“But, Rune, this guy is trying to kill you!”
“Kill me?”
The gates of the inn were thrust open as a man approached Rune. But it was not a man, nor a dragon. It was a hybrid between them.
“Are you the Phoenix Knight, Rune Cuthalion?” It asked.
“Yes, I am.” Rune replied.
“I am here to end your reign, and the Phoenix Clan with it, as you are the sole survivor.”
“But sir,” One of the Dragon Clan’s lower class members spoke, “perhaps the elder would like to see him first.”
“You insignificant little… perhaps you’re right.” Nuphotak growled, “Come with me, Phoenix Knight. That is, unless you want your life to end right now.”
“There was nothing else to do here. Perhaps this will be more exciting.” Rune murmured.
“Come with me then, Phoenix Knight.” Nuphotak snarled, “You shall fly on the back of a dragon, which people of your, ahem, caliber have not yet done.”
Nuphotak lead Rune outside of the inn where a Salamander awaited them. Rune, hesitantly, climbed onto its back. Nuphotak let out a strange roar, and the dragon took flight, heading toward the Dragon Clan.

“Sairga… Sairga… Wake up, Sairga.” A voice spoke, echoing through the darkness.
“Must… get up…” Sairga whispered to himself. He didn’t have enough energy left to do so.
Sairga painfully opened his eyes and looked into the night, seeing the debris from the Phoenix Clan, all of the victims from the attack, and his father.
“Who… are you?” Sairga asked, his mind bewildered.
“Why, I’m your father.” Sairga’s father replied.
“What happened here,” Sairga began, “and why am I injured?”
“You… must have amnesia… No matter what you do… you must listen to me… son.”
“I will.”
“You must never… listen to anyone… unless your amnesia… subsides. Join… the Shadow Clan. Their skills… will serve you well. But… most of all… hunt Infini… Tanuviel and… and kill… and kill… him… Avenge… our… people!”
Sairga stiffly rose to his feet, leaving the puddle of blood made by his left arm. He stood there for a moment, trying to right himself. Heeding his deceased father’s words, he limped through the shallow darkness of the night.
In the two long months that passed, Sairga became a member of the Shadow Clan. He eventually learned all of their most sacred techniques. He rose rapidly through their ranks, soon becoming one of their elite. He obtained a weapon of immense power, the Doom Blade, from the Shadow Clan elder and set out to find Infini. Although two months have passed, he has only seen glimpses of his past.
