Afraid of Commitment
Honestly, it seems I cannot keep the same picture for more than a few days, lol. My current one is a scan from SQUEE'S Wonderful Big Giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors. I remember the first time I read through it I laughed so hard when I cam to that part.
But alas, it shall probably be a different one sooner or later.
On another note, I am getting more and more into playing the guitar these days. I know two full songs, and parts of several others:
• "Morningstar" -- AFI [ Full Song ] • "Smells Like Teen Spirit" -- Nirvana [ Full Song ] • "Last Caress" -- Misfits [ A Few Parts ] • "1979" -- Smashing Pumpkins [ All but the Chorus ] • "God Called in Sick Today" -- AFI [ Intro ] • "Fall Children" -- AFI [ Intro ] • "6 to 8" -- AFI [ Intro ] • ".... but home is nowhere" -- AFI [ Intro ]
I think that is all... the most recent one I have been learning is "1979" by Smashing Pumpkins. The chorus is going to take me a while to get down. It involves using all four of my fingers at the same time, which I have never done before. Although, I really just like playing the intro to that song. No matter how many times I play it, I never get tired of it. It is nice and soothing.
I am not sure if I am playing "Morningstar" right, but it sounds close enough. There is just one part I am not sure about, but I learn from tabs, and nothing I have seen for that song shows anything different.
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" was really easy to learn. The only part that took a lot of time (and it was not really even a lot) was the solo.
It is getting more fun to play this thing now. If only I had a job to not care about spending a little extra money to but flat-wound strings so my fingers are not burning my the time I decide to stop. |
