Guess who had a productive birthday this last 21st?
I love my brother. He managed to get his hands on a Wacom Tablet for my present and I'm pretty much all over this bitch.
For those poor souls who don't actually know what a tablet is, allow me to sully your virgin mind. A tablet is a square piece of electronic plastic that comes with an electronic pen and hooks up to your computer. You use the pen to scribble all over the tablet and your drawings will appear on any art application (online or otherwise). In my case, it's mostly photoshop. You can use it to color, dot, sketch and probably impale your neighbor's dog.
But all you really need to know, is that I screamed and pounced on my brother when I got it.
I spent about half an hour getting used to it, because it calls for double the hand-eye coordination, and then three or so hours actually drawing. Ah, bliss.
In other news, Ben, Kt and I saw King Kong. Whooo boy, Jack Driscoll (played by the gorgeous Adrien Brody) is some hot hot stuff. Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts) was an interesting character, and I was cool with her because she reminded me a lot of myself. ;)
And the shirtless Driscoll scene? That was something to behold. Kt and I were getting really disturbed looks from the people around us because we were squealing so loud.
So all this on top of getting CDs, an MP3 player that holds about a bajillion shmillion songs, some wonderful clothes, and turning one year older, I'd say this one of the best birthdays I've had yet.
*breakdance*
