Standing along the cliff's edge
Staring down at the sea
Hoping to see you
Looking out for me
I get ready to jump
My arms spread out wide

What is this strange feeling you’re giving to me?
Is it what those bliss-filled natives call “love”?
Could we really be close like hand in glove,
And could we really love eternally?
Though I’m pretty sure you won’t break my heart,
Sewing it back together would be tough.
I see the path ahead of us. It’s rough,
But I know that we’ll never grow apart.
All those monsters in the forest ahead,
They envy us, and they still want us dead.
Just hold my hand, and I promise to you
They’ll never kill us despite what they do.
The forest’s path’s darker than ebony,
But I see our home just ahead of us.
Look, I can see home just in front of me.
Don’t let mentality become a muss.
Please say you love me. Tell me you love me.
I don’t want to be alone anymore.
There is a light, but it’s one I can’t see.
When we find it, we can finally soar.
So we live, may we kiss for the journey?
When we’re out of the forest, stay with me.

Okay, I'm going start updating Poetry Union on Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends. On Sundays I'll be profiling one of our members and his/her poems.
