you are my friend

You told me once

Of all the friends
I've ever met
You're the one
I won't ever forget
And if I shall die
Before you do
I'll get to heaven
And wait for you
I'll give the angels
Back their wings
And risk the loss

Just to prove
My friendship's true

Life
Life is but a game.
We must play for no reward
but the words

Running from a society,
that has made us cry.
Leaving here forever,
you and me, side by side.
It isn't really leaving,
until we're long and gone.
Our love is much too beautiful,
like a sparrow's song.
You could never have understood it.
You people are all the same.
Saying we're too young to love,
Speaking as if it is just a game.
We may be young, you may be old,
but me and him both know;
The old only get older,
and the young simply grow.
We don't need you, we're turning our backs,
we will take no more pain or sorrow.
We'll have left this place forever,
before the sun's rise tomorrow.
