One month later another holiday just passed =o So first off I've finally failed a college course me getting sick ended up being the main factor in this since I missed the casting days again DX for sculpute class. Got an A in Advanced Photography WOOT and a C in Spanish II not what I was hoping for but whatever at least I passed it. On the 13th I was planning on being at the Lions concert/re-release party for their album "No Generation" but since I didn't ask the right person/people *damn my not asking Mark and Amanda* I ended up staying in town BUT that actually turned out fairly well in and of itself. Saffron, Mark, Amanda ended up going to the like three adult stores around town looking for basically a falmingo thong for a friend which we did not find but we found a quarter pushing game. After we were done with that I ended up txting my ex...the one who talked with me through msn a while back. At first we were just going to hang at his place but with a little convincing we went out to the beach which it was perfect it really was. The meteor storm kept us entertained and we talked more openly than I think we ever had when we were together and that night after realizing why I could honestly say I love him then and now he told me that he is again dating the girl that continually breaks his heart...one of the few people I could say I hate *for this and a few other reasons* Christmas was pretty awesome. We actually celebrated as a family on Christmas Eve....the baby had sooooooo many gifts but it was a lot of fun to see her opening them up. I ended up getting a few gift cards: Two for our local grocery chain *which is kinda cool since they have a good electronics center* one for Spencer's and one for GameStop. I also got a wafflemaker *WOOT*, a fondue set, some storybook vinyls, a glass head, a cross with ACORNS on it, a blanket, some other random misc stuff and a guitar =p sadly I had some trouble tuning it and when I was finally getting it I ended up breaking a string TT__TT so I'm taking it to a guitar place today to buy new strings and get it tuned there. So this post is massively long once again there's been a bit omitted from what I originially was going to post but let's leave it where it is for today. So let's try to make this one quick and dirty...wait I mean painless....naughty....yes XD New music IS now up and only half Toadies....hope y'all like it though. Tuesday was my last day for classes...this week...turned in my sculpture in all it's kids paint glory and stumbled and stammered through the entire presentation of it....yet another time rather...I'm so not going to do well because of the way my ideas go to crazy and it makes sense until I explain them as something else entirely because I cannot explain the way I want to with my teacher TT__TT. However I did get back the scantron from our last Spanish quiz and was AMAZED to see I got a perfect 100 =o not that I've been doing bad just testing is usually bad....I understand it just don't test well in most subjects. Wednesday mom was going crazy with last minute cleaning because she wants all of us to help her or nothing gets done but I did get some spending money out of it.....I'm sooooo going to turn it into a Toadies ticket....cough...I mean something to play with X3. So midday-ish I was starting to go crazy with the way she was and so I started poking my friends until I got Bunny to agree to go to the Sweet Daddy concert with me.....originally I'd heard about it and the band earlier in the year but only really wanted to go since it was one of our friend's first bands to ever see in concert but I'm glad we went even if he didn't make it out with us since Sweet Daddy really does rock. While there we ended up hearing about a cool punk show happening this weekend and talked briefly to the singer/bassist of The Golden Meanies (band that we saw when the rugby team was out in school girl outfits XD and have opened for Lions and Toadies) anyways talked to him a bit and before we parted it was like check us out on MySpace Me: "I'll send [Bunny] a link" Bunny: "Yeah I'm kinda...what's it called" Me: "[fail] at MySpace" Singer/Bassist: "Oh you're on our MySpace? What's your name?" Me: "[IRL] Rachel" Singer/Bassist: "Would that be Sinner Rachel?" lol apparently my new page is getting to be almost as popular as the old page...and it helps that while they do have a good sized following right now I'm one of the few repeat commenters that isn't like family already. Speaking of MySpace because I posted semispazzing over the fact that they are coming back to Corpus and sad about losing all the pictures I took of them in San Antonio Matt (singer) from Lions msged me asking about the local music scene as far as shops and asking if I'd help with fliers for their next concert saying that I could ask for pretty much whatever from them....I was all like dude I was going to make fliers if I couldn't get them at House of Rock and if I'm asking for anything it'd be a pic with the band. Back to that night both Bunny and I drank quite a bit although he was a cheap drunk on lots of beer and I was having fun doing fine with some rum and coke...apparently it came up at earlier at the friend dinner that I'm a size queen....when it comes to guy's well....penis....not saying it's true but come on really that's not dinner conversation especially when I'm not there to defend myself =o I only found this out from a very drunken Bunny as he swayed to my car. anyways Today we had considerably less family than originally planned but that really was all for the best with the exception of all the leftovers we now have =( but hey it's all tasty and mostly desserts =D Totally slept in and missed the most awesomest of all Rick Rolls DX but that is why YouTube exists Macy's Day Parade...on to the thankful list My list this year is short but I'd rather not categorize every thing This year I'm thankful for... 1. F'ing Awesome Friends 2. Great Music 3. Family that loves and cares for me 4. Good Health....for the most part it's been good health 5. Do I need more....I guess just everyone and everything else that has been keeping me in and out of trouble....like teh Internetz lol and once again a short post has become waaay to long.... Ok so wow I haven't posted here in well over a month *sorry* and a very late Happy Halloween everyone ^^; Oh and no music right now....new music will be up before the end of the month....I think lol yeah last post was mostly about Toadies/concert going...and there is a slight chance this post may end up to be similar.....let's start with just updates on life and school....which at this point are pretty much the same thing. I've been keeping really busy with my classes which is a good thing and for the most part I do believe I'm doing well in my classes. Well I know I'm doing well in Advanced Photography I'm officially done with my first set of Gum Bicromate prints, I only did a set of three because I was still scared going into the process AND with the size of our class and how some of my classmates decided to do huge sets I was wanting to do a small set so I wouldn't have to fight too hard for water or line space. Probably tomorrow I'll scan them in and have those up on DA. I'm doing well in Spanish although I probably should go to the language lab more often since there are online practices that count for like 10 points of our grade and I've only done like half of the ones we've had to do so far. In sculpture I probably could be doing better but a lot of that is because I missed class the day we were supposed to cast our styrofoam in aluminum and we haven't been able to cast any other day since then DX but I'm working hard and our current project is plaster.....I'm trying to make the dad from GeGeGe no Kitaro/Hakuba Kitaro but his arms are so stubby and you can't tell he even had legs anymore....he kinda looks like a pig without any legs now. Ah and in the last post I said how things haven't really changed between me and a certain someone.....well now he's been in a relationship with a girl who is really a lot like him on a number of things and has been with her for the last month. The group has already gotten to meet her like twice and we all really like her too and all of us are glad to see him just so happy now. Some of us are shocked though at the way he is taking it slow with this relationship....usually he's slept with a girl within the first week...if not the first day of "getting" with her, hopefully this lasts but a few of us agree this could end very badly. In the past week my ex-boyfriend has been talking to me through msn....which I think is kinda weird that he's even started to talk to me considering we haven't really just talked in about two years with like a random hi on msn like a year ago. Found out he's into even more stuff I've liked now than he was even two years ago. Stuff like Toadies, The Doors, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and some other stuff. When he saw my new page *since he hadn't seen my new page let alone the old page in like two years* he was all like "OMG I hate you!" since I've seen the Toadies and then I ended up inviting him to one of the last shows of the year...now it's just a matter of when he asks and which show sells out first on which he goes with me to. Let's see in other news.....not much I mean I haven't even really been hanging out with everyone much in the past two weeks although this past week it was because I was saving up money to take a little trip to San Antonio on Friday. Saffron and I took off to San Antonio to hit a LIONS concert....it's like the second or third one they've done since touring in Europe XD sadly like with the Corpus show there wasn't a big turn out. I know at one point there were like 40 people in the room but half of them were bar workers and the members of the other bands playing that night. I found out right before the second opening band's set that I had forgotten my scan disc at home *about three hours away* in my computer DX so we went down the street to first an HEB and then to a CVS to buy a new one so I could take what ended up being 158 pictures of LIONS. Which they've once again have a new bassist but the one that they were playing with on Friday is not the one that is official with the group now just a buddy playing with them until December when their new bassist will officially join them. After the show I ended up buying a shirt and since Saffron was all sleep nao we took off only to end up driving around San Antonio a bit since we weren't quite ready to go home but she didn't want to stay at the bar anymore =( I wanted to talk to the band again and possibly get a picture with them but that is actually for the best that we didn't just for the sheer fact that once I got home and put the scan disc in my card reader it says that there is nothing there and now when I even put it in my camera it gives me memory card errors. I tried with Saffron's doc station and there it was all like you must format this scan disc to use it TT__TT all those pictures lost and I had some really good ones too that I wanted to at least put online and possibly use. Matt *lead singer* even kept favoring the right side of the stage....which meant I got so many cool pics with him but none of them will ever see the light of day now unless for some odd reason the print station at HEB will say yes they are there and I get them on CD. Yesterday we did a friends/family Thanksgiving and that was pretty awesome...well I mean it's always fun to have good friends and good food but I mean it was awesome because of all the great old stories that we told and just getting to see some people I hadn't seen in literally years and some that I just don't get to hang out with enough. Now it's just a two day week at school and then a five day weekend woot woot although my house is going to be PACKED with family....I may end up hiding out with Saffron either at her packed house to get away from everyone at my place or deal with the mice at the boys house to get away from everyone. Ok so this has been a rather long post ^^; sorry I'll try to update more often.... WOW ok so it's been like a month since my last post let's see if I can catch up without making this an uber long post! Things haven't really changed from what they were between me and a certain someone but I did get his attention this past weekend that much is for sure. For the most part classes are going well except that I dropped my Graphic Design course again...the teacher still has a bad attitude and when I tried going back after being out a few classes due to being locked out of my car and then being sick she gave me enough attitude to say whatever and drop it again, I'm thinking about taking it at the local community college if I have to take it again X( In Advanced Photography we've been doing cyanotype prints and Monday I did an epic 7 print set to finish up some pictures I really wanted to do in this style and to give me that one last push to perfect some of the methods I needed to work on before going on to the Gum Bicromate process which I started today. I've uploaded most of the Cyanotpyes I've done on DA even if they were of pictures I've already done.....anyways so today I started up the Gum Bicromate process doing three pictures. One is of me, then there is a white tigher and a statue....so far I have technically one color...two if you count the initial white coating, we're supposed to get at least six colors in but our teacher has gotten as many as sixteen colors on some of his prints but that's our teacher. It's a really cool process just going to be a bit crazy considering how limited space is in that class but I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out. Other news hmmmmm....did the first concert in the LIONS tour which was kicked off here in Corpus back on 09/05....which unfortunatly for the band was pretty empty. I think there was a total of 25 people there and 7 to 10 of them were members of other bands playing that night. Although it did make it easier to meet and talk with the band members. Oh and that night I picked up the vinyl of their album "No Generation" which all the current members signed =3 It's funny I was talking to Austin (guitarist) for a little while about the tour/live shows and he was saying how they were just playing some of the biggest concerts they've ever played that week with the Toadies and I mentioned how I was at one of those concerts *refering to being at Dia de los Toadies* and he was all like OH! I remember you! That crowd was huge so to not be overwhelmed I tried staying focus on the first few rows...I must admit I blushed and then later that night thought he was just making that up. But we talked Dia and Toadies for a while after that as I grabbed the last two sigs for the vinyl being his and the drummer. Friday (10/03) caught the Clutch concert since Bunny found out about it at the LIONS concert and was like OMG clutch we has to go since that day and since he's kept us drunk on a number of occasions I took him. Pretty cool band I probably would have enjoyed it more if I knew more of their songs I think I actually knew two but there were a few that I could follow along with easily enough and some others that I just somehow kinda knew lyrics to....weirder things have happend...like singing word for word a new single that is being premiered for the first time live and I'm in the front row singing along =0 anyways but that was a lot of fun and my plan of wearing flip flops would have been perfect had they not been sticking to the floor especially when people started moshing *yikes* anyways it was all cool and we met some awesome people there but the real highlight was running into some of the Corpus Ruby team sans the schoolgirl outfits this time...awww. Saturday (10/04) was the Toadies concert X3 Which was AMAZING! Once again I was in the front row on the right side of the stage which meant I was right in front of Clark (lead guitar) X3 In my other reviews I've called myself a train because of the loudness of my *wooooooooooooooooooooooo* screams. On certain songs was a blur of leathal hair and boobs......yeah so glad my buddies were around to molest and poke fun of me during this concert. I ended up taking four of my closest friends which was awesome in and of itself. Matt Hole and the Hot Rod Gang kicked off the show and owned!....seriously I'm disappointed in myself for not knowing this amazing Corpus band before tonight...then again there is a special place in my heart for Rockabilly and the upright bass. Golden Meanies once again brought their mix of punk rock to an already PUMPED UP crowd. Riverboat Gamblers.....let me just say OMG the lead singer is NUTS! Standing on the barricade, jumping over the drummer....and of course the one time he does fall it's a misjudgment of where the mic stand was....OH and he made up a cute story of the Toadies not making it to Corpus back in August because on their way to the concert they passed a burning building and saved eight boxes of kittens LOL so cute. During most of the set I'm a bit distracted by members of Toadies walking around stage. Toadies hit the stage..in full force this time. It was insane...I think this was the most energetic crowd...not counting Dia that I've seen in the past few years for ANY concert. During Little Sin Clark got a hit from a roach someone in the center was smoking and then during Happyface they tried throwing him probably half a joint but instead he put it out since it would have burned down by the time he got to hit it.....at least that is my crew's logic of that. Hell in High Water.....OMG....yeah I was spazzing during the entire song,I'd been putting it after I Come from the Water in my playlist since around the time No Deliverance was released, and it was just a wish fulfilled to see/hear it live. While there were a few songs I was still hoping to hear like Dollskin the show was amazing...even if there wasn't a tease of an encore all the hits were played the crowd loved it. I was hoping to get a setlist but the same people next to me that scored stuff from Riverboat Gamblers got the last one /sigh. Funny thing I realized well after the concert was over was that at one point Clark laughed at me because well....low cut top plus boobs = WIN especially since they were super bouncy since I was jumping around and jamming for most of all of the set....and swaying for the rest of the set which was mellow in comparison...LOL SO this ended up being huge sry but honestly once I started talking about Toadies did you think I'd stop at just amazing LOL List of events I'm looking forward to: ___________________________ Gambling in Louisiana Oct 17-19th woot woot Halloween! and partying until the new month is fully here! So let's see what has happened in the last two weeks....or so Well first off someone is trying to get back into hanging semi-normally with the group again and while at first there was some tension there things are back to normal.....and by normal I mean before things went pear-shaped but it was insane when we ended up doing a naked pool party.....all I can say about that is WOW my IQ dropped like crazy when we were "close" Started classes up again and mostly I'm happy with my choices and my professors....I'm SUPER excited about Advanced Photography this time around since last time the teacher was all about making a portfolio whereas this teacher is all about teaching us the alternative processes X3 Doing Graphic Design again last time I dropped the class because the teacher had ten-year and her approach was all wrong....not necessarily to the topics themselves but to class conduct like being late I understand but you cannot leave the room for any reason when not on the class 10 minute break without taking points away from your grade...but she's gotten better about a lot of things since having her kid. I'm also taking Sculpture I this semester and I'm a bit excited to try this class out just because we are going to be doing resin and I am hoping to make a certain bishie's "normal" face since they left that face option out of the nendroid TT_TT. Then the one academic class I'm taking is Spanish II and that is to fulfill my foriegn language courses. So for Labor Day weekend it was planned to have a fun filled Toadies weekend. Saturday got ready and got everyone their tickets since we were going in two groups to the concert here in Corpus and literally when doors were scheduled to open we were informed that the Toadies' bus had broken down somewhere between Houston and Corpus and that the concert would be rescheduled for October. I mean yes I was sad but this kinda stuff happens....saw later on postings that Vaden *singer guy lol* put up on MySpace and the street team that thankfully there weren't on the road at the time when things got messed up on the bus but that they were stuck in Houston for a good 9 or 10 hours over what they had planned trying to get parts to fix the bus which they thankfully got done before Dia de los Toadies up at Possum Kingdom. So Sunday Saffron, Joe and myself drove up to Possum Kingdom and only got lost like 3 times thanks to google maps DX but we made it there for the tail end of Dove Hunter and in perfect time to grab some merch *if only they would have thought out the whole credit card thing without signal up there /fail* and land a great position for the concert. Lions were up next and they rocked the park...so awesome the piece of barricade that I was at ended up breaking before their set was over LOL. Toadies were up next and security was boosted OH and there was a firm banning of crowd surfing like at one point it got so bad that they just started pulling anyone who was and took them to jail then and there. The concert itself was freaking awesome but there were some things that could have been better planned out. Anyways that's what I've been up to and yeah....I might be putting up a few more pics from the concert up on my DA I have quite a few up on MySpace atm but there are so many that I just want to play with some more...we'll see I guess Ok this has turned into another massive posting so I'll just leave in the now normal way. NOTE: This is also posted in my world....if you've read it there you've read this already.... It's been mentioned to me by several people recently that I'm obsessed with the Toadies...I've enjoyed their music for a long time but it's only recently....in the past year or so that I've been able to afford to attend their concerts, before I was usually broke when they came to town or selling blood for anime...not literally of course. Then after most of my CD collection was stolen and I finally went over what should have been there I ended up spending another chunk of change there. Just now I'm listening to their latest album No Deliverance on ITunes and this is the third variation of this album I've purchased....damn you ITunes album only exclusive tracks. I'm not regretting this decision but it has led me to wonder. How much would you spend on a band? ...let's open up the field a bit more than just with bands, how about an actor/actress, a director, writer, artist, studio/company *i.e. Gonzo, Studio DEEN, Rockstar, Harmonix, Square* Once I started crunching the numbers I was surprised to find in the past twelve months alone I've spent over $800 on the Toadies. Although that's mostly concert tickets and fuel for traveling to two shows. I won't go in to detail on what all I've bought of theirs but yeah...I'd still spend more on them, they are literally in my top 10 bands which of them all Toadies is the band I have spent the most. You met me at a very strange time in my life

So yesterday....technically today still....is my 5th anniversary with MyOtaku.....I'm sad that MyO has taken a backseat to worlds....for the most part and that I've lost in touch with a majority of the awesome crazy people that used to (in)freqently post. I'm sorry guys I know I've been horrible about that too over these past years....not to mention the first year I completly ignored my page ^^; So let's see let's go from this time four years ago....I was just really starting college and my brother had just gotten married. I was wanting to become more self-reliant and have my independence already and not have to bother with living with my family anymore. As of Monday I've FINALLY switched my major from Theatre to a basic Arts plan. Although I really wanted to be able to do Photography there are no where near enough classes to make it a full degree/program here at A&M. So I have an almost whole new course load in front of me....and I found out even though I was done with my basics I have two University required courses another semester of Spanish *since that is what I had picked for a foriegn language* and the second semester of Freshman seminar ^^; whooops....the semester I had that in my class schedule I had to withdraw due to sickness and I was never told I had to take it again....haha. My brother is now seperated from his wife and their baby is with us most every weekday during the day while we babysit her. Hopefully at the end of September/beginning of October she'll be going to monistary *basically a pay to school Head Start program* While I'll miss her like crazy it'll be for the best since mom and I both have been held back in the work situation because of it. Mom hasn't been able to put herself up for as much overtime since she doesn't get a good night/day's rest since she takes care of KC during the day and I help her as much as I possibly can which means that I can't really be working during the day....when I do/did work mom would be crying by noon and KC would not nap even for half an hour. Yes I still live with my parents but that could be since I haven't been able to hold a job long enough to leave and since the one time I was offered space to move away I was sick when they went to look for housing which meant I wouldn't be included in the move since I wouldn't have been there to sign a lease *which mom wasn't too happy with that idea....me signing a lease* As for the recent.....as in the last two weeks not much is new other than what I've already mentioned and normal routine of babysitting and hanging out with friends late at night early into the morning. That's basically been it. Oh well mom, dad and my brother did go up to Louisiana to gamble last week leaving me all alone literally since even most of my friends were at least two hours away at San Japan *in San Antonio* I forget how paranoid I get when there is no one I can stay with during the night.....for some reason I sleep the best when people are with me *wheter they are up and in a different part of the house or sleeping next to me in bed* and during storms. I literally begged one of my guy friends the second night to stay with me...and since I was waaaaaaaaay too drunk to drive I couldn't take my other friend to his house where I could have stayed *he wouldn't stay since he doesn't like to sleep anywhere he hasn't slept before* thankfully about an hour after they left Shiori and her bf came over for a few hours. During that time while mom was gambeling she had a good two hour lucky streak going and when she won on the machine I told her to play for me she called me to tell how much she won and that she would give me that money....which at this current point in time I've basically spent on a tablet *digitizer*, some anime/manga/video game stuff, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club band on DVD and the new Toadies album on vynil and saved the last part of it for the trip up to Possum Kingdom Lake for Dia de los Toadies 8/31. So this has become a very long post....sorry to take up so much time...let's wrap this up... OK just a little clearing up from last post first....while I won tickets to the South Texas Rockfest we opted to stay in town and hit The Golden Meanies concert instead and that turned out really fun...as told in the previous post. Soooooo life since then has been interesting in the very least. So as of Tuesday I've seen The Dark Knight twice. The first time I went with a small group of friends.....and I was very sleep deprived which made things fun while waiting and the side comments in my mind all the more fun during the movie....but it sucked that when we got out of the theater I found out someone had broken into my car. Thankfully they didn't mess it up like last time with my purple monster but there still was damage done so it went into the shop shortly after Dolly hit Texas...it's so funny how so many people were worried about that little hurricane....I mean yeah it did some damage but for our location *where a lot of people figured it would hit* it was a normal day with the rain of our "wet" season.....I mean 50mph winds that's going out to the beach on a slightly bad day....but it was kinda fun to be playing pool in the dark since the power kept going out on certian grids in town....although some of that was done by people not the weather.....anyways back to my car.....it was in the shop for like half a day to replace my door handle/keyhole...the sad part about it even being broken into is that it seems it was all done just to walk away with my CD case as a reward....I'm not upset about the CD case itself being gone even though I did have some things I really liked the most important CDs I still have at least digitally but I mean seriously took time out of my week and put me without a vehicle I could secure for a week and took money to fix what they did and if there were more than one keyholes to my car I would have been able to continue most things as normal >.> anyways..... I saw the Gavin DeGraw concert when he hit town....simply because me and like half the audience had recieved free tickets....maybe not that many but it seemed like it when I went to pick up my tickets. That was entertainintg just in the things said and joked about mostly between Saffron and myself. It was great it shocked the crowd that Gavin cursed a grand total of five times during his time on stage....after the first tiem the mother infront of us got upset and almost stormed out of the show with her daughter which seems like a real wast considering the tickets for the show came out to be around $35 after the fees were added. It really was great though at one point Gavin was all like "Man I'm thirsty, after the show we should get some Yahoo or Sunny D" lol plus it was great when we totally called him on using "Proud Mary" during one of his songs....I don't know if it's on the CD that way but I started going all Tina Turner with the moves and we just busted out laughing when we realized he was standing in front of us looking displeased that at least two people in the crowd recognized it...it was great, at one point he asked if Corpus had it's own theme song...I almost shouted out "I Come From the Water" seriously half the time I do think it is Corpus' theme song...oh yeah Concrete changed it's staduim a bit the pit is soooooooooooo very very close to the stage like at one point Gavin DeGraw got off stage and stood in between the stage and the pit and almost didn't have room to move around. The sound guy was off that night but hopefully everything will be kickass for the Toadies concert.....I can't wait.....and if the pit is that close again I may just get pushed into Clark *guitarist* if I'm front row again...like I plan to be. Probably not that bad but it'd be funny....not really though. What else has been going on not much other than the now normal routine of babysitting and hanging out with friends late at night early into the morning. That's basically been it....so let's wrap this one up. Been a while yes..... So first off my 4th of July was pretty awesome I got really drunk at my friend's "roommate's private party" we had fun played drinking games, drunken Guitar Hero and Vitua Fighter 4. recent news/fun: SO apparently I have crazy ticket luck...Thursday I was trying my hardest to win tickets to the Toadies concert from C101 since they were doing tickets to rock win them before you can buy them....anyway around 3 or 4 I finally get through and I'm caller 8 TT__TT I kept getting a busy signal all day even on the off time when I wanted to just request a song. About a minute or two after that I get a call from clear channel (parent company of C101) and they tell me I won two tickets for South Texas Rockfest and a ride on the Miller Lite bus. I'm like cool this will give me and Saffron something to do this weekend.....come to find out she's working hard this weekend and so I try to see if anyone else wants to go. Honestly though Saturday's bill didn't look that promising anyway...and since I had no one that will go with me I stayed in town and listen to a band that rocks.....Bunny, Saffron, Alma, Andrew and myself went to the Lizard Lounge tonight for The Golden Meanies concert. best night at a bar.....yet...at least....It was so awesome I mean the band rocks we already knew that and were jamming out the entire time but what made tonight so great was the eyecandy show. So as we are parking we see a bus pull up and out come schoolgirls. At first we're just all like random and as we get closer realize over half of these schoolgirls are guys XD *times I wish I would have had my camera....honestly* It was so fun to just even watch them playing around in their variety of schoolgirl styles. We also got quite drunk thanks to them....and Bunny continually buying drinks once the keg was finished. It's been a while since I've updated here on MyO....let's see where am I now. I'm finally out of the fragile box.....hopefully for a good long time. If I have to stay in the hospital for any period of time again it'll be too soon and for waaaaayyyy too long TT__TT I had a great time up at A-Kon and can't wait to see everyone again hopefully I'll be able to get out to a few more cons and we can hang before another year goes by. I picked up a few cool things at A-Kon including some spiffy goggles but the coolest things are technically not from the con but I bought right after I got back I ordered Jump Ultimate Stars and the first Death Note game for the DS. So it's been a little over a week and I still can't get over how awesome the Toadies concert was on the 20th in San Antonio. A little about the concert: So we got there just in time to see the first band The Golden Meanies in the beginning of their set, they are a band from Corpus *which makes sense why I was sure I knew a few of their roadies lol* I really liked the song An Angry Grassdance which is the last song on their myspace page. Lions came out and rocked the house getting everyone pumped for the Toadies X3. I'll say this their set went soooooo much smoother this time around than when I saw them six months ago in Corpus at the last Toadies concert....then again the Corpus crowd wasn't really feeling them that night either : / which is a shame since they have that old rock sound I'm so fond of. The Toadies completely rocked! I was soooo happy that I ended up in the front row in front of Clark again X3 yeah that was fun getting up there two since I started like five or six people in when the Lions were on....once the Toadies came on I ended up three people in just from the jumping around and when they started to play Mister Love I ended up getting tossed around until I pulled myself to the front row.....I was also kicked in the head twice and nearly fell like five times but it was so worth it. I wanted to meet the band afterwards when they were doing signings where they sell merchandise but Bunny and Joe were ready to go not that the huge line wasn't a bit overwhelming >< I'm really loving the new Toadies songs that they previewed and I mean seriously the whole set was just killer.....not to mention how funny it was to hear them continually insert Van Halen's "Running with the Devil" only to have them stop at not even five seconds and claim it only took two weeks to come up with that XD The next two days after the concert was waking up early and helping Saffron and Bear move to their new apartment. Did an after move party at my place where we ended up having a Cowboy photoshoot since Saffron's been trying to get a good pic of him for her wall of friends and after the first pic he was all cam whore. This weekend....kinda? Thursday and Friday we celebrated Saffron's birthday by going up to San Antonio, San Marcos, Austin and Gruene to do a bit of shopping and to take pictures. After we got back on Friday we had a little surprise party for her at Dante's house in which we both got completely fall on the floor drunk. Tortuga rum is the shit.....it's 80 proof rum but if it is made the way it claims to be then it varies from bottle to bottle anywhere from 80 to 120 proof.
