   More Easter Lyrics B
After listening to 'Peter Cottontail' and 'Betty Bunny's Birthday Day' and 'Ozzie the Ostrich', I will treat you with the lyrics to 'Marshmellow Bunny'! Enjoy!

"T'was many and many a spring time ago,
I waited so long for the animal show.
To buy me a bunny, I'd saved up for weeks!
But, I woke up with measles all over my cheeks.
"Don't fuss and don't fidget," my grandmother said,
"I'll make you a marshmellow bunny, instead."

"With eyes that are raisin,
Lips that are cherry,
And one button-tail made of blue huckleberry."

"She took all the marshmellows down from the shelf,
And touched them with magic just known to herself.
She put one by one on a barberry twig
With a carrot for ears several inches too big.
Red jellybean feet and green sugarplum hat,
A marshmellow bunny, she made me like that!"

"With eyes that are raisin,
Lips that are cherry,
And one button tail made of blue huckleberry."

I dried all my tears and I smiled with delight.
And grandmother's eyes never twinkled so bright.
"'Tis better," she said, "then a bunny that could,
With a hippity-hop, run away to the wood.
And if you get hungry one night after sup,
Diddle dum diddle di...you can gobble him up."

"With eyes that are raisin,
Lips that are cherry,
And one button tail made of blue huckleberry."

Through many a year, I've remember it yet
Though many a bunny I've raised as a pet.
Not nary a one of them ever could be,
Like the marshmellow bunny, grandmother made me.
He stands there forever in marshmellow white,
And I never, no never, took even one bite!

"With eyes that are raisin,
Lips that are cherry,
And one button tail made of blue huckleberry."
