Interesting Thanksgiving
Well my fellow Otaku's gather round as I tell you a story.
On the day before thanksgiving my good friend BakaPanda and I were going to go shopping. You know get shopping done before it gets so insane we lose it and kill innocent lives...you get it right? Right as I am about to walk out the door I recieve a call..from Abram's sister. "Don't freak out, Abram's in the emergency room." "WHAT?!?!" I cried. "Ya he fell off a scooter and busted his chin open so now he needs stiches" I didn't know if I wanted to either laugh really hard or cry because he was in pain. (Little did I know at the time he was in no pain whatsoever)
So BakaPanda and I go to the emergency room and see our hero Abram sitting there with a bandage over his chin. You could tell he wanted to laugh but couldn't. He told me what happened and how he got there. So in short we left the emergency room 4 hours later and Abram had a nice 25+ stiches in his chin. (I'll save the fun details for him to share)
On the way out I called my mom and she asked to talk to Abram. She asked him why I wasn't going home with him for thanksgiving. (She had told me no for like a month that I couldn't go) So she says so Abram, "If she wants to go she can" So...I did! Me, Abram, Prov, and our good friend Nooma1 all piled into Abram's spiffy car and drove to his hometown. However, the welcoming commitee was a little tired and cranky when we got there so the welcome was brief.
On Thanksgiving day I was "this close" ::hold up fingers:: to telling Abram I wanted to go home. I was not comfortable at all with the situation I was in. Abram's dad was unhappy and I didn't like the way he was treating Abram's mom. (They were in a very heavy discussion right outside my door) but I decided to stick it out. After a long day of cooking and watching tv (hard I know) we all sat down to a very nice dinner. And after sharing what we were all thankful for I do believe I like Abram's grandma's best. She was thankful for pie...well sort of. Anyway it was just hilarious the way she went on about pie.
There's more to the story but I will share it all in my next post which will probably be tomorrow.
Thanks for reading guys!
