   Max Ride: will there be twelve books?
To reiderate what I stated yesterday, there are apparently going to be TWELVE BOOKS.
I discovered this on http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117969291.html?categoryid=1236&cs=1, Which was a direct link from Fang's Blog, which we all know is a direct link to James patterson himself.
This link itself mentions that the movie rights for Maximum Ride have been purchased from James Patterson, but the writer of this post put in a tiny extra delail......
"Producer Avi Arad has optioned film rights to James Patterson's young-adult bestseller "Maximum Ride" with hopes of turning the property into a major franchise. (There are 12 books in the series.)"
That is an exact quote from the post. See there...? 12 books. Yup....12.
