Well.. crap.

Okay, I need both advice here, and.. well, mostly advice.

I finished my picture of Corky. I'm very pleased with it and all, and Patrick (the store owner) likes it too. He says it's a perfect representation of her.

I'm glad, I really am. I just have a few questions. I've never worked on commission before.

1- I got 40 dollars for the original copy of this picture, but I've drawn seven other versions since then. Should I be asking for more money? Does anyone know a tactful way I can do that?

2- I am a horrible businessperson. He asked if I could draw a few more pictures, showing her at different angles for the sake of design; also, he wants me to give her a backpack and a necklace. I don't mind that, really.. but I want to know if I should be getting paid for what I did already or not.

3- Is 40 dollars fair for this? Like, for the whole thing? I don't know..

Agh. It's all very exciting, but I don't know the way I should be approaching this.

(My cat is very noisy. Enough, noisy cat, I am a busy girl. ~shoos~)

Once the restauraunt opens, I'll be given an office. I don't know where that is going to be, exactly. But I'll have my own office with a drawing table. A place where I can do design work and what not. I'll be in charge of promotions, all the art designs, and all that fun stuff. I think I'll be given a computer, too. See, knowing that, I don't know if I should be horribly concerned about the commissions I recieve now. I don't care about money, I'm just afraid I'll be stepped on or ripped off if I don't ask for it. But I'll be somewhere.

Patrick is going to try to open franchises of this around Canada, too. That will be interesting, if it goes.

All in all.. I don't know. Any reassurance, or comments, or tellings to Rayne of what she should be doing would be absolutely smashing. I've never done this before, so anything helps.

Thanks muchly.
