fuckshit.

Jiike Y'kor. (J'eek Yuhkor.)

Backstory

The Atraa Galaxy. (Ah-Truh)

One of the smaller and more obscure/primitive planets besides Kish (Kih shh) is K'huut. (Cut.) K'huut's original inhabitants were bi-ped animals that were similar to a cross between a monkey and a cat.

That was before more humanoid races started infiltrating and breeding and whatnot.

The end result, hundreds of years later, was the Murae race. (Muu-Ray)

That would also explain their noses, the odd looking ears and the monkey tail

Jiike has a lot of agility. He loves to run, tumble, jump and so forth.

He was the oldest of eight kids and so he was forced into a lot of responsibility at his age, and that pushed him away from his family. He loves to tinker with computers, since they don't get a lot of contact with the other planets (like... living in arkansas or something xD )

The weather on K’huut never really gets below 80 degrees. This means that he releases body heat more than most other races. As a result, whenever he finally does leave his home planet (After hacking and crashing a wandering ship on a fluke and then hijacking it whenever the driver leaves to find help) he always wears layers to keep himself warm.

Jiike was 14 whenever that happened, he kind of learned on his own how to navigate a ship, work the computers, hack, steal, lie, etc.

For about a year, he lived off money that he cheats other people out of, and most of the time it's not a lot before they figure it out, given that he's always wearing his LCD visor and is obviously a Murae

So he's been malnourished most of his life

Around the time that he was 15, a gang leader watched him (unbeknownst to Jiike) hack a ship and hijack it, and he had his men track Jiike down and bring him to them.

The guy ended up employing Jiike to do a lot of his technological dirty work in exchange for a ship and free pay,

Basically, the guy said 'look, here's a ship of mine and here's some money for food, now go fuck with this guy's phone system so we can tap him and I'll let you have it all.'

Of course, if Jiike had said no, he'd be dead. Space gangs are pretty brutal, because they eject their victims into space to suffocate, among other things.
And soooo.. Jiike was unofficially employed by the most notorious gang on that side of Atraa

Things were good for about 6 months, whenever a bounty came out on his head

The reason bounties are such a big thing is because there's only so many police on each planet. The bigger the bounty, the more likely that the person will be caught.

SO. Between doing his job and trying to make an (illegal) living, he started having to avoid bounty hunters.

Jiike always had to get a new ship after every 'mission' and eventually had to start piloting the old fashioned way, because when he did so from his laptop, he was basically putting in the coordinates and setting it to autopilot-- but with all the crazy bastards chasing him, he's learned to drive it manual.

So, about a year later, not long before his 17th birthday, he's even MORE notorious than before since he's got his natural instincts in a fight (muraes are rare outside of their planet) this big baddie named Kaiya Jax comes along

Now, instead of busting in and shooting shit like all the other bounty hunters, Kaiya helps Jiike run AWAY from a guy, and Jiike's a little too trusting at times…

Well, it's all fine and dandy, they're at a little restaurant that actually sells a few dishes from Jiike's home planet (one of which he's scarfing down while complaining abotu the inaccuracy of the taste)
But whenever the bill comes, naturally, Jiike tries to split before they have to pay, and Kaiya grabs him and puts a gun to his throat and then lightly mentions the bounty on Jiike's head being one hell of a number, considering Jiike’s nothing more than a kid

Well, Jiike spent a long time trying to earn Celk's respect (Kelk)(Celk is the mafia guy) and he's still called a child.

So he throws a mini fit, ears back, tail bristled, fangs out and making scratching motions at Kaiya. (he files his nails so he can type faster)

Kaiya basically has him over a shoulder and is taking Jiike to his ship whenever Jiike starts heaving, not thowing up, but dry heaving.
Kaiya puts him down and Jiike's on the ground, clutching his stomach and his mouth. Kaiya takes a step back out of reflex, and Jiike instantly takes off

Welll, Kaiya hops into his speeder and takes off after Jiike
Jiike instantly goes into a crowd and disappears, so he's safe for now

BUT! The thing is that Kaiya slapped a tracker on Jiike's laptop, and so he's able to be about a step behind Jiike for a good three months before Jiike finds the tracker.

By then, Kaiya knows him enough that he is hot on his tail constantly

Annnnnd..... that's basically where the main part of the story begins. xD
