COOL BLUE
~Here comes the Thnikkaman~

Yesterday I just realized, there's no Cool Blue Raspberry Gatorade. It's just Cool Blue flavor. Exactly what is blue supposed to taste like? If anyone here has synesthesia, please tell me what blue tastes like. Maybe it tastes like the opposite of an orange- if you invert the "cool blue" color, it turns orange. And I guess orange tastes like oranges. But what is the opposite of an orange? Hmm...you might guess a blue raspberry, but the thing is, there's no such thing. Us consumers have been brainwashed into thinking that such a fruit exists, although you will never find a blue raspberry growing anywhere outside the fallout zone of Chernobyl. I guess a blueberry, if we go by color. But we should be going by flavor, and a blueberry isn't even blue, It's purple. Maybe if we go by sound...if blue noise sounds like however, what does orange noise sound like?
_IF YOU ARE STUPID, STOP READING HERE_
If we check the Wiki...

Orange noise

Orange noise is quasi-stationary noise with a finite power spectrum with a finite number of small bands of zero energy dispersed throughout a continuous spectrum. These bands of zero energy are centered about the frequencies of musical notes in whatever scale is of interest. Since all in-tune musical notes are eliminated, the remaining spectrum could be said to consist of sour, citrus, or "orange" notes.

This is what I would call "A Nagato Explanation". Don't you just feel the essence of the Data Integration Thought Entity?

So basically, it's a sound with all frequencies that make up musical notes replaced by silence, which results in...? I'm guessing, static so dense that its waveform has no tune? I'm not sure I understand this correctly. Even worse, the Wiki has no sound sample for orange noise. Since blue noise is defined as,

"...power density increases 3 dB per octave with increasing frequency (density proportional to f) over a finite frequency range. In computer graphics, the term "blue noise" is sometimes used more loosely as any noise with minimal low frequency components and no concentrated spikes in energy..."

Maybe it sounds like something almost close to an infrasonic range, with high spikes but not exceeding the minimal frequency for human hearing. But what of the zero energy bands? And how do we convert this to a taste? Come to think of it, we can't directly convert a wavelength of energy to stimulate an equivalent sensory perception that does not correspond to any part of the energy spectrum. We could, however, go from a neural perspective. What neurons corresponding to sound/light generate a feeling similar to that generated by smell/taste?

Wow. I'm smart.

But since I don't have great knowledge in any sciences devoted to these studies, I ask you:

Are there any Otaku scientists out there?

Please answer my call!

Also, if you actually read all of this, here's a treat. I couldn't find an mp3 download since I ripped directly from the sound card when I downloaded it. And I couldn't find the place where I downloaded the awesome program hack remix. Just find a sound ripping app somewhere. You CAN do it for free (like I did). I used replaymusic, audacity, and the LAME encoder (a real app that I'm not calling lame...except for the name).

Discovery
~Here comes the Thnikkaman~

I just started watching Ghost in the Shell yesterday. Why haven't I watched this before? And It's like, 5 years old. But when it's A.D. 2030, we won't be carrying our brains around in suitcases and have awesome talking tanks who play PSPs.. It's a long story (not really) of how I got into that show. I was in this C++ class one summer, and there was this anime fangirl. We were allowed to bring USB flash drives to take our files home, and we had pretty good use of the laptops. One time I got her laptop and it had free mp3s from various animes on the desktop, as well as a remix of the numa numa dance (the only thing I recognized). I'm not the kind of guy to delete anything he finds lying around, so I copied these onto my flash drive, and later copied them onto my desktop at home. Since I didn't have much interest in them past the initial discovery, they were left there forgotten on my computer for some time. Later, after I had developed an interest in Haruhi Suzumiya, I ended up downloading an mp3 of God Knows. One day, When I wanted to listen to it and I forgot where I saved it, I did a search of C: for files containing "god knows". I found it- and another file called "Hirano_Aya_-_God_knows". Curiously, I opened it. It was definitely the same song...but it was the extended version. It came from the directory "new folder"(I currently have 17 folders called "new folder", as well as the time I got fed up with the default names and named an old one "not new folder"). I opened it and found the lost treasure of Atlantis:

.DS_Store
AI.mid
BOBD.mid
colors_of_the_heart_tv.mp3
hal-starrysky.mp3
Hirano_Aya_-_God_knows.mp3
inner universe.mp3
licoln-park numb.mp3
N UMA NUMA.wma
Open_Up_Your_Mind_remix.mp3
Starry_Sky_Remix.mp3
Utada Hikaru - Sanctuary.mp3
UVERworld_AI_Ta_Kokoro.mp3

Alright, so the midis of boulevard of broken dreams and american idiot were from another guy. And the first NUMA is messed up. And some aren't anime songs at all. But it was only very recently that I realized what they were. It was right there in the album information, new things waiting to be discovered. Today, I am into Bleach, Haruhi, Ghost in the Shell, and currently trying to watch Angelic Layer and Blood +. Come on, Bitlord! 99:99:99 is not in my lifetime!

YES! I just caught a fly with my bare hands...eww.

What a dissapointment
~Here comes the Thnikkaman~

Halloween...what a dissapointment. I went to a friend's house for his "haunted trail" in his backyard. It was great... Strobe lights, smoke system, spooky music, pyrotechnics(He got a fire going in his outdoor fireplace >_<), guy with a chainsaw minus the chain, ghost on a zipline (I kept tripping over it!), and at the end, my friend would use his Solid Snake camouflage skills to sneak up on the people as they got the candy. But after two groups of kids, we stood out there for hours and no one came! I thought maybe they couldn't find the entrance, so I took one of the bags with candles in it and used my 1337 DTsk1ll2 (DT=duct tape) to make an arrow and the words "enter". But that was not the case...The streets were devoid of people!
And worse, I didn't get to play Halo 3 (which is kind of why I came in the first place)! At least I saw his awesome Halo 3 jack-o-lantern. If anyone was wondering, I didn't have a costume except the skeleton ninja mask my friend lent me. But my friends were like, "Did you see the Naruto girl getting on top of hugging Pikachu?" And I was like, "No...I definitely did not know who any of those people were..."
Who was the Pikachu-man, anyway?

~Here comes the Thnikkaman~

"My friend Kyon-kun says I have too many chain messages. Do you think I do? I don't think so......But he does"

Come on, people. Stop posting chain messages. 1 is already too many. It's spamming. Not just here I'm talking about , but Youtube especially. They have bots running rampant posting the URLs to pr0n.
Yeah, I'm done ranting. Well...
Lucky Star was licensed! I'm excited. I thought it would never get to America, since there doesn't seem to be a market here for those who would enjoy it the most. Besides otakus like you and me.
Well actually, In school, my reading of manga is almost completely alien. I have various countermeasures, the best of which being my "shield of justification", the issue of Wired magazine that says on the cover "Manga Conquers America!" I thought this would allow me to say, "See, I was ahead of the times! I was cool all along!" This was not the case. The other measure was to be reading Furuba or strawberry marshmallow, but have a copy of Bleach sitting on my desk (which I also read anyway). Unfortunately, some people are just too nosy. Well, I guess I shouldn't be worrying about this stuff since I have an account here, but still...I still have my reputation.

(super long post!)
