   The Animeathona Begins!
From 3:30pm today until whenever I pass out or go insane, I'm going to be watching the neatest anime that money can buy and I find on my bookshelf! I'll report the results...or have my roommate post them, in case I don't survive.

:( Evil professors
Normally I don't really like to talk about my every day life. It's boring. However, this week has just been one of those bitching weeks and I'm about to either explode or fall asleep, depending on the way the wind blows.

Sit back and hear a tale...

First off, this is midterm week. Mind you, I had 2 midterms last week, which probably made this week even more stressful, because I was getting my grades from the professors. Nothing really bad, a C in Brit Lit III, a C in American Lit that I can easily bring to a B, a B in Social Work, and an A in Intro to Music and Criminology. I'm wanting to get over a 3.0 this semester, but I can deal. As long as it's not below a 3.0. Stupid Brit Lit. Anyway, added on to all of that is that I work at a Starbucks that's incorporated into the college's food service system. When school shuts down, so does jobage. That, by the way, kicks ass. So, I'm having to stress about getting Starbucks all spiffy clean, then go help over at Subway because it's sorta funny to watch my boss almost fall off of chairs. I also had a huge project due this week in Criminology, due today..at approximately 8 minutes ago. My group wasn't the nicest or the most helpful and didn't give me anything like...oh, the little details...like how to friggin get ahold of them. You know, just the little stuff. I learned on Wednesday that I had to do questions for our project but wasn't given a way to get the info to the dude that was arranged the presentation until last night. My stupid ass goes and leaves his contact information in my pants at work, so not only am I stuck with something that I haven't done yet, but I had to wake up at 5am to go get his info from my pants, praying that the dayshift fella hadn't already taken the pants upstairs. (Whoo for run-on sentences!) Soooooo, long story short I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep which has to do me until 7pm. Then, the best part, I get those damned questions ran off and go running into Social Work late to discover the fella running the presentation wasn't there. As I'm walking to Criminology, I see a big sign on the professors door that sez "Not in today". :| What a rip. I love doing work in vain. At least I got to kill a tree by making 50 copies of those damned questions.

Anyway, I gotta go beg my Brit Lit teacher to not kill me. I didn't do the work for our paper in her class because I was so wrapped up in my junk for Criminology. Maybe she'll take an IOU and I can e-mail it to her later. It can't be that much of my grade anyway. Oh, and I get to fail a test for her class too. Not to mention that I haven't read my stuff for American Lit today.

God...or local serial killers...please help me come up with a plausable excuse for today by coming by and shooting me. Not enough to kill me now, maybe just a shot to the leg. I can take that, I'm man enough.

Stay tuned next week to experience the magic of two girls, lots of caffiene, and silly anime. Teh animeathona starts!

   Neon Genesis...second thoughts
Whoo! I think I mighta understood EVA this time...a little. Since everyone likes to brag that they are cool because they like the original ending more, may I be the first one to go on record saying I like EoE a hellova lot more than the original series ending. Sorry Anno, but I just didn't get it. Still, thanks to many online FAQs and watching EoE about 10 bazillion times, I sorta appriciate the series ending. I found myself like Asuka more in the second viewing and Rei a lot less. I can't really explain my feelings about Asuka and Rei. Rei's just too easy to hate. She's completely without personality. No wonder Asuka slapped her, I woulda done more than that. And Mitsuko, she's my total inspiration for life. A functional alcoholic! That's just great. Poor Shinji, everyone hates on him for being whiny. How the hell would you be if your father hated you, your guardian made out with you, the two girls your age were psycho, and you turned into goo? Not to mention the whole thing with Kaworu. (Heh, I didn't spell his name right.) I really wanna get the entire EVA series, but it's a slowly going work in process. I figure it's famous enough to be around forever.

In other nonrelated anime news, I got a new favorite song. M-Flo loves BoA - The Love Bug. I can't wait for the new M-Flo cd to come out, I think it's sometime in March. Normally I'm not really a cd buyer. I like sailing the seven seas with my pegleg and parrot, but I'm making an exception. I think Verbal is to hawt to *not* support. Also, I saw The Critic on DVD at Walmart, so I might go and support American animation. :D

Anyway, have a good week everyone. :)
