Return of the King: Movie Rating
I guess I'll do product ratings just for the fun of it:
Return of the King: Very, very good. Incredible start, establishing a great backstory of how the ring was actually found. The Battle of Plennor Fields was short, it seemed. The ending was wonderful except for two things: First, no Scouring of the Shire. They missed out of a major plot point where Saruman get's killed. And two: Cirdan doesn't talk or anyting when they leave to the Undying Lands.

Finals
This is going to be my first ever Finals week, being a freshman. I'm actually looking forward to it; I think it will provide closure on the semester.
But, for a week of my break I'll be in New Orleans with the marching band, even though I'm not in it(the marching band), I still get to go. I don't remember how that works, but believe me, it does.

Glasses
Ah, what can I say about glasses? I love them. They make me look the IQ I am. That might not be saying too much, but I'm smarter some people.

Extra Credit
Ok, for my Honors Freshman Social Studies class, I'm working on this 5 page extra credit report of the Dalai Lama, and I'm not doing a very good job of finding the informantion. Not that I'm not doing it, I just get side-trekked with all of the information on Buddhism. I find it facinating. The whole goal is to put other people's needs in front of your own. I just think that's so right. So maybe tell me some of your thoughts on Buddhism and the situation in Tibet and the Dalai Lama.

Busy weekend
Ugh, I have too much going on this weekend.
Saturday I have a two hour symphony practice on this Mozart piece, which is going to suck.
Sunday, I have the concert on Sunday, also another two hour practice before it. Then later, I have a jazz band gig at the mall for a band thing.
Argh!

Let us see.
I'm trying to figure out if anything fun happened today.
Woke up, took a shower, ate, went to school. It was Monday today, so I had all my classes, argh!
START RANT
Oh, and an update on the idiot in my class: still an idiot! All he says is 1."Not gonna do it." 2."Crazy white cracker(even though he is white himself)." 3."You're crazy." I fear his poor girlfriend is going to lose her mind being with this lunatic.
END RANT
Lets see, Honors Social Studies: Sub-teacher. Easy. Orchestra: Didn't have my cello because it was being fixed. I picked it up later this night. Phys Ed: Played basketball; at least it wasn't Chargerball. Lunch: Ate with what friends I have. They of course got the two week old pizza that they have. I got stuff from the vending machines. Keyboarding: It sucks being sick for quiz out. I'm averaging 80 words a minute. Math: Still reviewing stuff we did in 8th grade. Jazz/Stage Band: Played Children of Sanchez the whole hour. I also practiced the Metallica bass solo Pulling Teeth.
I've noticed that ever since retiring from teaching, he's turned into Mr. Mom. When my older brother Steven and I got home he had rice crispies squares ready for us. By the gods people, my dad is turning into a nanny!

Fun stuff
Recap of the last two days:
During seminar yesterday the Washburn University big band came and played in the band room, which was totally awesome.
Then our jazz band had a gig, at an elemtary school. We were being stupid and we playing on all of the playground equipment.
Today, well, about an hour ago is when I got home from having fun with friends. This is my second social activity this year. Ah, the life of a quiet person that no one can relate to....

It's all good.
I'm so happy right now. In a state of constant bliss. A few hours past, I wot, I purchased Stephen King's new book, Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla. The next two, Song of Susannah and The Dark Tower, VI and VII respectively.
Do any of you ever have a class where you're situated along side of a total idiot? I envy you who aren't. If you are the idiot, take a chill pill and shut up for the sake and sanity of those around you.

4:01-4:10p.m.: Took a Break
4:11p.m.-4:50 p.m.: More DW
4:51-6:00p.m.: Ate dinner w/Grandma(she picked me up) at IHOP.
6:01pm-When parents&brother got back: More DW.

School Conferences
October 30, 2003
Today's the first day of a four day weekend off from school. Being a freshman, I had my first High School conferences today. Everything went well, good grades, lowest were two B's. Band teacher wants me to learn string bass(double bass) for Jazz Band next year, so by Sophomore year, I'll have added piano and string bass lessons to regular bass and cello lessons. Ah, the glorious life of a musician.
It was nice, waking up at 10:30 today. I got to catch up on some sleep. I can never fall asleep in my clases; it's just too hard. If I could learn to fall asleep with my eyes open, it would be alot easier. No one would notice, I almost never talk in my classes. People are suprised to find I'm not mute. Silly people.
And now for money woes. I have several items I would wish to purchase in the next week, but seeing that I'm a minor and can't work, I have to money. So I'll have to mow some lawns to get that. The new Strokes cd came out, so I want to buy that. On the fourth of November the fifth Dark Tower book, The Wolves of the Calla comes out. Then after I finish paying my new bass off, which my parents fronted me the money for, I'm going to want to acquire an Overload/Distortion, a Chorus, and a Wa pedal. But that's for another day.
