Chapter Two. (This is Duce. She looks like this. She fights with all types of weaponry)

Deaths, bloodshed, murder. That’s what this job is about and we have to deal with it.” Chapter two: In the meeting hall We walked with the other squadrons until we reached the hall. The hall was immense. Pillars ascended up the walls awaiting the hit of the ceiling. They were obscure in their design, having many figures carved into them. We sat in our chosen seats as the Avian Ledger got up to talk. Avian is the leader of ANGEL. He’s a brown-haired government official. He’s only about… twenty-seven, I think. Not sure. I dunno. “Welcome all of ANGEL. We have an announcement today that is of great importance. We will be having a new teams mission. The four teams, one from each rank will be chosen be elimination. A tournament of the ranks will be held for the next two weeks. Every team will be competing. Tournament matches start tomorrow. Your opponent will be determined at the time of the match. Everyone be ready by regular time.” He paused for a moment sifting through his papers. “You are dismissed.” He said, gathering them up and heading off stage. Everyone got up and left single file. We hit the café and got some coffee, Blaze and I while Flaw took Soul back. “So, what do you think we should do?” I asked. “Well, we have to participate. We might go up a rank and get a new valuable companion.” He said. We took a seat at a table for two. I nodded and took a sip of my mocha cappuccino. Even the café’s and food courts were separated into the ranks. You had to have an ID to get in to anyplace here. This was the Fallens’ café. He looked out the side window that was next to our table. I never really noticed how he looked. We’d grown up together since we were 12. Both of us under Lucas. I was chosen to be the leader instead… But still, I never noticed his appearance. He was kind, yet mysterious. Gentle yet strong. His hair was really cool too. I was staring at him, without realizing it. He looked over. I continued to stare. “What?” He asked. I didn’t reply. “What is it Duce?” He asked more concerned. “…It’s nothing…” I said. “You sure?” He asked. “Yeah, I’m fine.” I said more confidently. “What kind of a team mission do you think it is?” He asked. Team missions were rare. They eliminate the weakest teams, not killing them, yet not letting them participate in the mission. Usually the missions included gathering information or something of the like. They had four teams on one mission, one team from each rank. “I don’t really have a guess…” I said, letting my mind roam. This time I had the feeling he was staring at me. I didn’t want to look back, for fear that he was. So I sat there looking out the window. “…” I was guessing he didn’t have one either. That’s when Flaw arrived. “Hey, Duce, Bla-“ She stopped and stared at Blaze. That’s when I looked up at him. He was staring at me, not moving. I waved a hand in front of his face. He still sat, frozen. “Blaze? Blaze?!” I asked frantically. He blinked twice and shook his head. “Are you ok?” I asked. He nodded. “Yeah, fine.” He mumbled. I’m sure I looked concerned. “Really, I’m fine, Colle- I mean… Duce…” I furrowed my brow. “Were you about to call me by my real name?” I asked. “What are you talking about, Duce?” He said, playing the innocent card. “Are you feeling okay, Brett?” I asked. He rolled his eyes. “Whatever, Duce. Lets go back to the dorm.” So we got up and left. I glanced over at Blaze again. He seemed to be back to normal, hands behind his neck in a casual position. I glanced back at Flaw. She was looking at him and me. “What?” I asked. She smiles. “Oh, nothing….” I shrugged. We walked down the halls until we reached our own. I unlocked the door and headed inside with the others on my tail. Blaze locked the door after me. “We’re finishing our game of BS, Duce.” I groaned. “Please, no!” I screamed.
