   i wish you were here
i stay awake and wonder
how life could be so cold
with every passing day
i wish ur hands were mine to hold
the words of few haunt my dreams
but then i think of you
only to return to thinking
and finding their words are true
silent tears stream down my face
a story of unanswered prayers
and when all hope seems lost
you come to conquer my cares
through all the joys or when
