I didn't know that I had to write a post to reflect the whole year. ^^" Thank you for reminding me Dranzer. I don't want to go against tradition. ^.~ And the posting bugs are happy that I'm using them. ^^ Before I reflect the year, I'll tell you all about the dinner at my cousin's very briefly. My cousin's bf cooked dinner. And it was delicious. I didn't like him before, but I like him now. XD To be honest, I like my cousin's ex husband more. He's funny. X3 And I was surprised that he was there last night too. O.o Apparently the bf invited him too. O.o My cousin pulled me aside for 5 mins where she told me that she talked to her mother about the whole "misunderstanding". Apparently my aunt was concerned that I'm "unemployed" so the $20 for X'mas would be too much for me... Bull. First of all, I'm not unemployed. I have a casual receptionist position that I go to once every few months. So hmph. x.x Anyway! My cousin apologised for my aunt. Who turned up at my cousin's house just as we finishe talking! She invited herself to dinner... She tried to make her little "comments" throughout the night. But when I didn't let it bother me, it annoyed my aunt so much!!! XD OK! Now onto why I'm posting. XD This is going to be quite interesting as I can't remember much of this year. I have a good memory, but not when it comes to myself. ^^" January: Worst month of my life... I don't want to talk about it. >.< February: I realised how much people cared about me and was able to put the past behind me. I love my friends. XD I also got my learner's licence! I studied for months for that, so I'm proud of it. ^^ But so far, I only use it as an ID card... March: New semester of uni started. The beginning of my worst uni semester. And my psychology text book was so heavy!!! I tried to get over my MSN addiction, but I failed misrebly. ^^" April: I learned to fear public transport when a guy in his late 40s, early 50s asked me where I live. May: Probably the second best month this year. But also, from May to September went by painfully slow whereas the rest of the year went by fast. June: Final exams of the semester. T.T After the exams and assignments were done, my monitor died. T.T My dad wasn't going to buy one for like a week, but I nagged him so much he bought one the next day. XD July: My mum got really upset at me for using the computer constantly. But then... I got a laptop! XD She was upset at how I spent the whole day in my room. But coz I got a laptop, I'm in the living room all the time with her. So she's happy. XD AND the high light of the month! Asian Cup!!! (soccer) It was amazing!!! Kya~! XD August: New uni semester... T.T Busy, tired, depressed... Oh! I started seeing an osteopath to realign my bones. X3 It's not as scary or painful as it sounds. ^^ September: Lots of dead fish. T.T My mum bought a fish, managed to kill it. Bought another one. Died. Another one. Died. Last one. Died... I'm not letting my mum buy another fish as a pet. EVER! October: Probably the best month this year! I met an online friend for the first time. We (Ceath and I) went to Supanova Pop Culture Expo (the largest con here in Australia with lots and lots of anime). I cosplayed for the first time! It was so much fun!!! November: Final exams. T.T Lots of assignments. T.T Birthday!!! XD December: Up and down. ^^" Man my aunt's a total pain... The year in general: I've learned a new outlook on life this year. To look at all things, the good and the bad, as positive experiences of life. ^^ The bad stuff's neccessary! For personal growth and to appreciate the good experiences. ^^ So yeah, I've experienced a lot this year and I think I grew a lot as a person. Even though I act like a child most (if not all) of the time. X3 I said this for February, but it's very important and I'll say this again. I love all of you so much! XD I owe you guys, my friends, everything. ^^ And, I don't say the word "love" that often, so all of you better appreciate it. ^.~ Hehe. XP There's no way I'll be online tomorrow, as mum said something about family time. ^^" SO! I wish all of you a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I didn't make this, (I'm not smart enough) but here's a great new year card. X3 Click! I'll see you all next year! It was so relaxing. X3 My mum sent me a text message saying how things were going well at my aunt's house and said it was safe for me to go. But I didn't. ^^" On Boxing Day (26th) mum and I went to that family's house. You know, the one with the 17 and 11 year old boys who don't know anime. It was so far. @.@ It took about an hour and a half to get there! I'm glad about that coz we don't have to see them often. ^^' The father was a weird man. Very... self righteous... I guess. Everything he says has to be the absolute truth and if you don't agree, you're 100% wrong. That type of person. I felt so sorry for the boys. But he was still a nice man. Just left me feeling emotionally drained afterwards. ^^""" Strange, but I can't remember what I did yesterday. O.o Um... yeah... ^^"' I finished reading/watching Saikano. I loved it! But I must admit, the manga was heaps better. *nods* That story is just beautiful in all aspects of it. War, love, life... Kya~! XD I cried a lot. A LOT!!! I also finished watching Eureka Seven. I want to read it now. X3 It was a very interesting story. I loved the mecha in it. ^^ Especially how they moved so smoothly. And the kids were so cute! X3 After that last ep of Eureka Seven was aired, they showed the last ep of Le Chevalier D'Eon. I didn't know, so I was a little shocked that it ended. T.T I enjoyed it, but since the topic was a little hard for me to fully understand and appreciate, I didn't get the chance to really warm up to it. T.T So I was looking forward to the re-run, since Adult Swim over here absolutely LOVES re-runs... BUT!!! No re-runs! O.O I'm so shocked about it! TT_TT Right now, Monday and Tuesday night, they show Bleach at 10:30pm. Then after that until 12:30am, they show Inuyasha back-to-back... Wednesday and Thursday, they show Inuyasha from 10:30pm till 12:30am... That's two whole hours of Kagome screaming "Inuyasha~!" every 5 minutes... It's torture! Absolute torture! ...And yet I still watch it... Hm... I also re-watched Howl's Moving Castle and Laputa, Castle in the Sky, just coz they were showing it on TV. X3 Howl's Moving Castle was as amazing as the first time I saw it. XD But I like Laputa more. ^^ It was my first anime ever, so it is special. I watched Gedosenki (Tales from Earthsea) with my mum for the first time. Miyazaki Goro did a great job. I know that it's not the best anime, and a lot of people said a lot of bad things about it, but come on! It was his first directing job! I think people just expected too much from Miyazaki Goro. I know that Miyazaki Hayao is his father and the best director ever... But I liked Gedosenki. It didn't have that hair-raising effect as the other Ghibli movies, but it was still great. I'm sorry I've been talking about the animes I've seen in an ambiguous way, but I just don't want to say any spoilers. ^.~ I'm feeling much better. Still a bit of a fever though. T.T But the doctor did say that it should go away after the holidays. ^^" My cactus is still alive! XD I'm so happy. X3 I don't know how it's going to turn up, but yeah... At least it's still alive. ^^ My aunt apparently said that there was a "misunderstanding" between her and I... Well, as long as there are no fights. ^^ My mum and I are going to my cousin *S*'s (the one that couldn't keep a secret) house for dinner tomorrow night... It'll be interesting... That's it from me for today. ^^ The next time I post might be next year!!! He gave me more pills. T.T I really need to rest, so I'm not sure if I can visit sites for a few days. T.T I'm really sorry. And my cousin made me tell her what was wrong... I don't think she knew that I was her son's Kris Kringle partner. O.o Also, my cousin can't keep her big mouth shut, apparently. So my aunt called me when I got home. I didn't answer the call. XD Another thing. Someone... or something... ate my cactus!!! O.O I left it out for one day coz it was nice and sunny. T.T Before pic. And then I realised that it's been 10 days! O.o I think someone's been stealing time... >.> Anyway, a friend of mine moved out of state today. T.T She's one of my very few friends in real life. And now she's gone. T.T We went out last week and it was really fun. ^^ All we did was look at some shops and talk. XD On Saturday, we had dinner guests. The two sons, 17 and 11 years old, didn't know what anime was! I couldn't believe it! O.O I had to explain it to them for like 5 mins. T.T I was shocked! Shocked!!! Anime they saw a few eps of: Pokemon Dragon Ball Z One Piece Anime they only heard of: Naruto Gundam Astro Boy The 11 year old saw my manga collection and thought they were DVDs. O.o They never even heard of manga until I told them about it. O.O I've also been sick again. ^^' Apparently I had a really bad hay fever and it turned into the flu. o.o I didn't know hay fever could do that. o.o Anyway, I've been taking my meds so I'm better now. My fever hasn't gone down yet though. T.T My doctor lied to me! He said that I'd be better in a day! >.< Liar!!! Anyway. X3 The five things I'd take if my house is on fire: 1. Luna and her carry bag. 2. My laptop drawer. (includes camera, phone and their chargers) 3. My bag. (it has everything I need in it... I'm such a girl. ^^""") 4. Shoes. I don't know why, but it always annoyed me how people won't wear their shoes when running for their lives. I know you don't have time to think about that, but it still annoyed me. ^^" 5. My mother. Since she's the type that would try to take 50 things. ^^' My favourite answers from you guys. X3 Hiko: "My insurence papers so they can give me back the money that they owe me for my house burning down." Shishou: "my Mary Poppins bag-which has limitless end-and put everything in there and then just take that." I love these two answers. XD Btw, my aunt's being mean to me again. T.T Every year for X'mas, we do Kris Kingle coz our family's getting larger every year. ^^' (it saves a lot of money *nods*) So my mum's buying a gift for my aunt, my aunt's buying a gift for mum. And me? Well, my aunt was organising it this year and she forgot to include me in it. *twitches* When mum told her that, she said that my aunt said that she'll just include me in the kids' category. (the kids in our family's not included in the Kris Kringle so that the adults can get them as many gifts as they want) What... the... hell...!? O.o Even though I've been in the adult category for 8 years, now that I turned 21, I'm a little kid. >.< *twitches again* Mum told me aunt that it's not fair (they were talking on the phone). So my aunt said that she'll pair me up with my cousin's 4 year old son. O.O So all of a sudden, the 4 year old's an adult... *vein pops* I'm NOT going to the family X'mas party! I've had it with my aunt! She can take her X'mas party and *colourful words*!!! I have nothing against the kid though. He's adorable. So I'll still get him something and drop it off at his house in the morning. ^^ Since I'm not going to the party, this might just be the best X'mas ever since I moved to Australia. XD It's also my other cousin's 29th birthday tomorrow. She's going to spend it somewhere with her bf, AWAY from the family... Lucky her... And guess what? My aunt's perfectly fine with it. Hehe, just kidding. ^.~ xoxoKakashioxox: which is ur fave,Dragonball,Dragonball Z,or Dragonball GT? [fangirl mode] DBGT!!! XD Yeah, I know it's not that popular among DB/Z fans. ^^" Since it's repetitive and not written entirely by Toriyama Akira. But I still love it. X3 I love how it brings the comedy DB and the action of DBZ together. ^^ The repetitiveness comes from how the Bird Studio ties up the end of stories. They bring in villains from the beginning as the villains of the end to give the story a nice rounded finish. X3 And I was really sad when DBZ ended, so being able to see more was great! XD DBGT has all the good qualities of DB/Z in a whole new way! Kya~~~!!! [/fangirl mode] *cough* ^^" Magnus: If you hosted a party what would it be like? Either really fun, or really boring. X3 I'm actually pretty good at coming up with games to play at parties. ^^' (OMG! Something I'm actually good at! *gasp*) But yeah, if no one wants to play, the party would be boring. T.T Hm... let's see now... Do you know that game where you have to wear layers and layers of clothes? And the person who wears the most while the song is playing wins! My twist for that game: You have to dress someone else!... That's the only one I can come up with right now. ^^""" Shishou: Have you seen snow? If you have, do you like snow? Yes I have. ^^ The place I used to live in until I was 5 years old used to snow every year. It was fun, so I liked it. X3 The place I lived in from age 5~12 used to snow too. But the air was so polluted that the snow was almost grey. T.T I didn't like that. T.T When I was in year 11 (11th grade), I went down to somewhere near Canberra for a ski trip with the school. ^^ The snow there was white and pretty, but it was so cold! x.x Not sure if I liked that. ^^" It doesn't snow where I live now. But we get a hail storm once in a while... Does that count? ^^""" Thanks for the great questions. X3 Question from me: OMG! The house is on fire! There's only enough time to take 5 things with you. T.T The thing is, I've been a little under the weather the past few days. ^^' And yeah, I didn't have anything to post about. XP Hm... Let's see now... I really wanted to go to my cousin's baby's birthday party in disguise. XD Anyway, my aunt was too busy to bug my mum or me. Hehe. But near the end of the party, she came up to us and started complaining how she was sick and to work her butt off the whole day, then went on to say how we should help her. Um... Excuse me!? It's her daughter that decided the party was going to be at my aunt's house. Why isn't my cousin helping??? I just stood up without saying a word, went up to my cousins, and told them that my aunt just told me off. Then they finally started to help clean up. Hmph. I don't get it. My cousin *S* is the mother of the birthday girl. She's 31. She's more than old enough to help out her own mother! My cousin *M* will be 29 this month, so she should help out too. The party was crap. You wouldn't guess that it was a birthday party for a 1 year old if you didn't know. Kids that came to the party were from age 1~14. There were no entertainment for the kids. No decorations. Even the birthday cake was only for the adults. O.o Where's the clown? The face painting? That little bag of toys you give to the children on their way home? NOTHING! *S* just sat there talking to her friends. *M* was playing with the birthday girl. *sigh* Oh, but there was this cute 4 year old boy. XD He wanted something and even though there were a bunch of adults there (his parents couldn't make it to the party), and the last time I saw him was last year, he came straight up to me! O.o He started asking me all these questions and showed me stuff. We talked and laughed for like 10 minutes. X3 I really wanted to keep him. (What is he a lost puppy??? ^^") So the party wasn't all bad. X3 Anyway! A pic of Arashi like I promised. ^.~ I can't believe how no one knew who Sakurai Sho is!!! My favourite songs by Arashi are "Pika**Nchi Double" and "Sakura Sake". They're both a bit of rap though. ^^' But "Aozora Pedal" from the movie doesn't have rap in it. ^^ Arashi is my third favourite group. X3 I'll try and get up some songs on my site soon. ^^' Arashi Masaki Aiba is an excellent saxophone player. Matsumoto Jun played Domyouji Tsukasa from "Hana Yori Dango". Ninomia Kazunari played Saigo from "Letters from Iwo Jima". Ohno Satoshi is both the eldest member and also the leader. (he beat Sakurai in Rock Paper Scissors) <3 Sakurai Sho is of course, Takemoto in Honey & Clover. Now do you recognise them? X3 Um... I've run out of things to say. ^^' Not planning on doing anything worth posting about in the next few days too... Anyone want to ask me a question? First of all, THANK YOU EVERYONE for all your lovely comments on my birthday. *hugs all of you* I read them all over and over again. Brings tears to my eyes coz I'm loved so much. T.T And 16 comments! O.O That totally kicks my previous personal record of 10 right in the...!!! *ahem* ^^" Has anyone noticed that I'm in a really good mood? X3 Today... or yesterday... Whatever. ^^""" I went to the city again with my mum. The Japanese Film Festival is on right now and we watched Honey & Clover!!! XD I love that anime so it was great to be able to watch it as a live-action film. But can I call it "live-action" when there was no action? ^^' Anyway! Sakurai Sho as Takemoto was really good! If you don't know who that is, I'll hit you. He's the rapper from Arashi. Damn stupid Wiki and its lack of Sakurai Sho pics! >.< I'll have one up next time! X3 I thought he'd be better as Morita at first, but the director or whoever chose Sakurai as Takemoto was right in doing so. *nods* ... And I guess there's no point in saying anything more about the characters since a lot of you probably won't know what I'm talking about. ^^""" But there was this one scene where the characters go to the beach. And it was the same beach my mum used to take me at least once a week when we lived around there. It was still very beautiful. I miss it a lot. So yeah... I cried in that scene. T.T Everything about that scene was beautiful. T.T ... Yes, it was a chick flick. ^^' I usually don't like chick flicks, but this one was so good! XD This movie was the good kind of chick flick. ^^ I laughed a lot. X3 *has completely forgotten about Beowulf* The 29th was also my land lady's dog's birthday... Her name's Tina and she turned 5. X3 So mum and I went to her birthday party today too... Ah, that day was also my cousin's daughter's first birthday. XD She's adorable! But I have to go to her birthday party tomorrow. Nyu. -_-" She's cute and all, but I don't want to ruin my good mood by seeing my aunt. Oh well, I guess I have to make the sacrifice for the baby and go to the party... AND AVOID MY AUNT AT ALL COSTS!!! *cough* If I told you what she did on my birthday to me, you'll understand. ^^' (what I've mentioned before was just the tip of the iceberg... where the rest in deep underneath the cold, dark and salty waters...) And I know it can be worse, so I guess I should be thankful that it isn't. ^^' I'm sorry if I have any spelling errors in my post. The land lady has leather sofas, and I'm allergic to leather. ^^' My eyes are red and I can't see clearly. ^^""" P.S. 1. There's absolutely no way I'm getting married before 25! I'm not emotionally mature enough to handle it. I don't know about after that though. I'll decide when I'm proposed to. I can't be bothered to think about it now. ^^' 2. The only time I'll even CONSIDER giving up anime and manga is when I'm dead. 3. Why I would marry someone 20 years younger than me is beyond my comprehension. 4. I wanted to post to post before midnight, but it's now 4:30am. ^^" I can't sleep. T.T Stressed. I wasn't even going to post but after spending a few hours on the net, I feel better. ^^ (plus about 15 minutes of crying) ... Let me start at the very beginning. 21 years ago, I was born. ... Ok, I went too far back. ^^" *fast forwards* Today (today in MyO time, but it's technically yesterday for me now. ^^") was my 21st birthday. X3 I didn't think I'd survive this long, but I did. XD Hehehe, that's why I got a post box as a surprise for everyone! XD With quite a lot of help from Hiko. X3 Is everyone surprised? XD Gonna write in point form coz I'm too tired to form any more sentences. ^^' * Went to the city with mum (dad was too busy). * Dad met up with us at 4pm and we saw Beowulf in 3D. It was great! XD Though Master's right, there could've been more killing. But I read the 100 page version of the book and from what I can remember, there was about the same amount of killing. So the movie was true to the original. X3 Except for the end... But I won't say any more. *zips her lips* Dad constantly complained about everything. * Came home then mum and I went to pick up her friend and the friend's younger sister (visiting from Turkey). We went to have dinner at a local pizzeria. * My aunt kept calling and sending me text messages the whole day to find out what I was doing... So that we could meet up... Which I didn't want to do. But then she forced me... So we had cake at her house... Please don't ask me any more about this. I don't want to talk about it. * I just felt like all I did today was work my butt off to please other people. Sure I wanted to see the movie, but it didn't have to be today... I just wanted a relaxing day with mum. * Came online and started feeling A LOT better by commenting on posts, getting e-cards, e-mails and talking to friends. But I have to admit, I'm still depressed and stressed and... Never mind. I'll end this here. Oh, some of the conversation topics from today: 1. When am I getting married? (by aunt and cousins) 2. Since I'm old enough to get married, it's about time I gave up anime and manga. (by mum) 3. I don't have to get married until I'm 35 or 45. Or I can wait until I'm 55 and marry someone younger, like 35. (by my grandmother [dad's mum]) 4. Have pity on mum and don't get married and leave her alone too soon. (by my aunt) 5. "If you don't like the pj I got you, I can always go and change it for some lingerie." (by my cousin) Conclusion: my family is crazy. But I kinda want some. T.T I think I'm a little addicted. T.T Anyway, my new friend demon dragon asked me a few questions, so I'll answer them. ^^ You're in Uni? Wow, cool! Is it hard? YES! ^^""" But it's the good kind of hard. And even though I complain about it A LOT, I like uni coz I'm doing what I like. ^^ Uni is definitely worth it if there's a course you want to do. If not, then I say go out into the real world. ^^ Uni's not bound by age, so you can always attend if you change your mind later on. ^^ Are you Japanese!? Or do you just have a citizenship? O_o Yes, I'm Japanese... Well, half. ^^' My dad's Japanese and mum's Turkish. I was born in Japan and lived there till I was 12. Then I moved here. And Magnus said she envies me for being Japanese... Yeah well... Why? ^^' So Japan's got anime, manga and J-Pop. SO!? And some of you think you know what it is. I don't see how you could know... You have to be here in Australia to know this. *nods* Ok, I'll tell you. XD BEOWULF!!! XD Beowulf will be out in cinemas in 5 days!!! XD I really really want to watch that movie. ^^ I had to do a project on it back in high school. XP I can't wait to go see that movie!!! XD Yeah, that's the only thing happening that day. XP As much as I like my new phone, I kinda miss my old one. ^^' It was a good phone. I used it for like 4 years. But I wanted to break it in the last year. ^^''' You know how computers freeze? Like the screen stops working, and sometimes you have to turn it off then on again... My phone used to freeze too. >.< Stupid phone... I did something really stupid on Wednesday. XD I went to uni for an exam and... I realised that I studied for the wrong exam! XD I thought it was my Interpreting Skills exam, but it turned out to be my Medical Interpreting exam. XD I'm so stupid. ^^' Anyway, the exam still went well. XP And yesterday was my Interpreting Skills and that was really hard. o.o I think I did well though. ^^' Hopefully, since it was worth 20%. >.< I had coffee on Wednesday morning, since my exam was at 8:30am. T.T I spent the rest of the day humming "I'm a little teapot". XD And I was also constantly hitting my right wrist on my hip, and it's a little bruised. >.< So, I'm not having any more coffee for the rest of the year. XD I might still need it next year to keep me awake during class. ^^' Today's the Australian elections for the Prime Minister. I don't like politics, so it's great that I can't vote! It's coz I'm still a Japanese citizen. XP And I can't vote in Japan coz I live here. XD And I can't vote for Turkey coz I'm not a citizen and I don't live there. XD InfiniteRain141 asked me if I want to become an interpreter. The answer is: NO WAY!!! It's way too stressful. >.< I want to become a translator. So that means I only have to deal with written text, not people. XP Interpreting is like an exam. You study for it, and you go to work. Translating is like an assignment. You're given a text, research it, then translate it. I like translations way more. *nods* Here's a pic of Luna (my cat) taken with my new phone. The camera is definitely my favourite function.
