XD So happy. ^^ Today is a public holiday here in Australia. It's the Queen's birthday. I totally forgot coz I don't have uni. ^^' I'm home anyway. ^^" As some of you already now, my monitor died on Thursday. T.T We got a new one, and it's huge. O.o I'm still trying to get used to it. It's so flat and big and bright. @.@ I'm still playing around with its settings to get the right brightness and whatnot. Coz my mum says it's too bright, my dad says it's not bright enough. >.< For some reason (mostly coz I'm in front of the computer all day ^^') it's up to me to make the whole family happy with the monitor. ^^' Here's a pic master hiko sent me coz my monitor died. ^^ On Saturday, my aunt and I went to see "Hula Girls" at the city. ^^ You see, this month's Sydney Film Festival. ^^ That movie was absolutely amazing! XD My heart was pounding really hard by the end of it. XD "Think hula, think Hawaii -- not this time! Lee Sang-il's surprising film is set in the 60s in a northern Japanese mining town. It's cold and grey, not the place for Pina Coladas and grass skirts. The mine is struggling and workers are about to lose their jobs. Plans are announced to build a Hawaiian theme park, and whaddya know they need hula dancers (believe it or not, this is based on a true story). Soon a bunch of rhythmically challenged hopefuls, under the control of Tokyo-exile Ms. Madoka, are frantically swinging their hips and smiling the smile. Winner of four Japanese Oscars, Hula Girls is both an uplifting tale of defiant underdogs and a rich portrait of a town struggling to cope with changing times." (Sydney Film Festival) There was just one bad side to that movie. ^^' It was the subtitles. There were a few places where I thought the subtitles could've been better, and also the dialect used in the film was completely lost. Unfortunately, the dialect problem can't be fixed. -_-" It's no big deal though. ^^ There was only one big scene where the dialect played an important role. Oh, there was another bad thing about the movie: my aunt. >.< She was her usual self, where she acts pleasant, but always says hurtful things. She loved the move though. She started clapping when it was over, then I started clapping, then everyone started clapping! O.o I tried to post a pic for you, but it didn’t work for some reason. -_-' Sorry. I’ve been home all week studying, except when I went to see "Hula Girls", so that's all I have to say today. ^^ Answers to master hiko’s questions: * Yes, you do ask that many questions. I seriously don't mind. ^^ You guys can ask as many questions as you'd like. I'll try to answer all of them. ^^ * The game won’t give me any stress. ^^ My last exam's on next week Wednesday, so I'll have more free time. ^^ * My Luna and the land lady’s cat, Lily, are enemies coz Luna’s really territorial. ^^' Lily would just come to our place every morning to steal some of Luna’s breakfast. >.< Luna gets upset, then attacks Lily, but Lily just won’t quit! O.o Luna even ran away from home a few times coz of Lily. But only went next door. ^^' She didn’t go very far, did she? My mum always went next door to bring her home. XP Answer to Fortuna Jewels’ question: * I fell off my computer chair coz it doesn’t have a back. ^^' I was about to sit down, went too far and slid right off. X.x Kya~! The sky's so beautiful right now! XD Here: Hm... It doesn't look as grey as it actually was... Ok! Now on to the picture guessing game! XD (I need a proper title for the game ^^') Below is a zoomed in picture of something (Round 1), and everyone has to guess what it is. But only one guess per person per round. If no one guesses it right, then next week I'll post another picture of the same thing, but zoomed out a little (Round 2). There will be three rounds in total per game. If no one guesses the object right by then, I win. XP I would also like to take the time now to thank my dear friend Matt (BKstyles) who always supports me, and is always there when I need him. ^^ Like today when I was panicking and being really nervous about this game, he was there for me and listened to me ramble on about how I need more light to take the picture properly. I don't know what I'd do without him. ^^' Oh yeah, I do know what I'd be doing: constantly be in a state of panic and one nervous breakdown after another. ^^" He always takes the time to answer my questions, and helps me with my homework too. ^^ I'm really lucky to have him as a friend. ^^ Arigatou Matt. *hug* Game 1 Round 1: Aloha! It would black out for a split second and come back on again. We knew that its days were numbered. Since February, the colour white was no longer visible. But my dad still had faith and kept on saying "It's still good. It's still good." This morning, the sky was dark, pouring rain and shook with thunder and lightning, as if it knew of Velta Monitor's impending death. I turned on the computer, then the monitor this morning. But all the monitor said was *beep* and it went black. Velta Monitor said goodbye to me with its last beath. As I write this post on my mum's best friend's son's computer, I remember all the good times we had together. All the stories we read, the videos we wathced, the music we listened to and most of all, the wonderful eople we met. I'll miss you Velta. RIP VELTA MONITOR OCTOBER 1999 ~ 7 JUNE 2007 So yeah, without a monitor, I can't use the net, let alone the computer. I can't do my assignments or study for my exams. I don't know when I'll be able to come back on. (There's a proper post below if you haven't read it already) I hope I'll see you guys soon. Bye~! I'm finally going to tell you the solution to the match sticks brain teaser! Ready? PYRAMID! It’s not a good picture, I know. But you try taking one. Hmph. (I took like 5 other pictures, and this was the best one. T.T) My wisdom teeth aren’t that painful this week. Thank God! I went to my orthodontist on Tuesday. It only took 5 minutes... After it took over an hour to get there! X.x And he said that I should wait until November to get them out, coz it’ll be easier on me. They won’t have to dig around for my teeth... >.< Eternal Paradise, don’t tell me about blood going everywhere! >.< I’ll chicken out! x.x Well actually, I had to have 4 teeth removed before I got braces. I had to have two of those removed by surgery, so I know what it’s like. So this time it’ll be four teeth. I have until the end of the year to prepare myself for it. I’ll be fine. ^^ I went to work again on Friday. But it was just for half a day. At least it got me out of the house, right? ^^ It was really quiet again. The highlight of the day was when a colleague (lady) of mine saw a dead cockroach and started kicking it. Then this other colleague of mine (lady) and I screamed and ran out of the room. And the one that was kicking the dead cockroach said that we’re useless. ^^" Well, dead or not, a cockroach is a cockroach. Kya~! >.< Saturday, Sunday and today, I just sat here and did parts of my assignments and studied for my exams... That’s it. ^^’ I should answer the questions I’ve been getting from master hiko. ^^ * I wish I could just hang up the phone on rude people at work. ^^’ Since it’s a community centre, a lot of distressed people call for help, and a lot of those are emergencies. So I have to do my best to help them out or refer them to someone who can help them out. I’ll probably get fired if I hang up on them. ^^’ * If I prefer to have calls and stuff spaced out, or to have them all come at me at the same time? Well, I prefer them to be spaced out. Like be busy throughout the day, instead of being busy sometimes, and bored the other times. I think I can help people out better if I’m not panicking. ^^’ * I was looking for the instruction manual to the answering machine. It's a Telstra M450. It’s solved now, so don’t worry about it. ^^ * Darke went to a camp in America. Uh... Maryland? ^^’ Just go and read his post. ^^" * To be honest, I don’t know how long my summer break’s going to be. I think my classes end in October, and I have exams in November. December, January and February should be a break. But that’s just my university. All the universities have their own schedule. And the uni schedules are different to primary and high school schedules. * Yes, I should write "Good morning and have a good day" at the end of my posts. ^^’ but I just like saying "Good night and sweet dreams". XD I don’t have a brain teaser or personality quiz for you this week. I’m sorry. -_- I found some, but they’re all really girly. ^^’ And I have to translate them... Not only am I lazy, I’ve been busy with an assignment of mine. -_- But I did remember this game I learned in class when I was in year 6 (6th grade). What was it called? I must be getting old, coz I can’t remember the name of the game, what subject it was or the name of my teacher. ^^’ We used video cameras, that’s for sure. ^^ Ok, so what we did was video tape something really up close for 5 seconds, zoom out a bit and wait for 5 seconds, zoom out a bit for another 5 seconds and then show the whole thing (or something like that ^^'). We would show the class and everyone would have that 15 seconds to guess what it was before they could see the whole thing. I thought maybe I could do this here? And instead of taping something, I’ll take pictures. If you think it’ll be fun, tell me and I’ll write up the rules for it properly so that we can start playing next week. ^^ Here’s a picture of my Luna’s enemy. 2 more days! XD

X.X It's been hurting all week, and I couldn't even chew properly on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. T.T I know I have to have them pulled, but my orthodontist said November... I can't wait that long! Not to mention it being my 21st birthday! >.< I have a headache right now too... Not thinking rationally. ^^' I'll be fine. Just have to be patient. ^^ Work went well on Thursday and Friday. It was a bit boring though. -_-" Like I would have 3 calls and 5 people talking to me at the same time, and I would panic for about 10mins... And then it's quiet for over an hour... >.< Friday afternoon, I was on the net reading stuff for uni. -_-' I felt like I'm getting paid to just sit there. I'd rather work hard and earn my pay. Someone unpluged the answering machine on Wednesday, so when I went to work on Thursday the answering machine's time and date was messed up. I had to look for the instruction manual on the net for over 2 hours! And I still couldn't find it. By the end of the day, I just got really pissed and started to randomly push the buttons until I fixed the machine. ^^" The point is that it's fixed, right? XP The manager told me to write out the instruction on setting the time and date for next time. So I went back online and found a pic of the answering machine and pasted it onto the instructions I typed up. She loved it! XD She was like "You're so cute! XD" ... Damn... Cute definately was NOT what I was going for. ^^' I read half of Vol 1 of Gasaraki... It's taking me really long, coz I'm having trouble reading the Japanese characters. ^^' But surprisingly, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. (I mean reading the characters) I thought I would need my dictionary more, but I only looked up a few words. The others I could kinda guess from the context. I should be checking those too, but it takes too long and I just want to read! XD I also read Vol 1 of Saikano, which was recommended by darkeangel. I nearly cried at the end of it. T.T He said that I'll cry in Vol 5... But I'm not sure I'll survive for that long. ^^' I'll try though. ^^ Speaking of darkeangel, he went to America, and won't be back until September! >.< I miss him already! T.T Oh and last week's brain teaser. >.< Not only did no one get it right; I missed out on a crucial bit of instruction. >.< I'm so sorry! T.T Matt (BKstyles) was explaining his solution to me on MSN, and he had the same solution as my new friend hackermimiru. Which was unfortunately wrong. ^^' Matt pointed out that I should've said that each triangle has to be equilateral. ^^" (Thanks for always pointing out my flaws. ^.~ I do appreciate it. I always learn alot. ^^) So each side of each triangle has to be the length of one match stick (or tooth pick, depending on what you're using). I didn't think about saying that. ^^' But it's also how my psychology lecturer said in a lecture... And that wasn't that long ago... Maybe a month? Anyway. ^^' I'm so sorry. You guys can have another week to think about this. ^^ Here's what I mean by an equilateral triangle: Here's a little clue from Matt: Think tall. Oh uh... ^^' Both darkeangel and master hiko said something about me being in summer. ^^" I don't know how to break this to you guys, but being in Australia, in the southern hemisphere, I'll be in winter soon. ^^" I'm even wearing a sweater right now. ^^' It's no big deal, seriously. ^^ My grandmother in Japan has been here 3 times and she still gets it wrong from time to time. ^^' But uh… Hehehe. I would probably still catch up on my reading and studying during summer. ^^' Since Monday's now over! XD I only have 2 more days of uni! XD I only have one Psychology lecture (tomorrow), one Psychology tutorial and one Japanese Creative Practical Writing exam (Wednesday). When that's over, I only have a Psychology exam, Community Translation exam, 11 Community Translation quizzes and one Japanese Creative Practical Writing assignment. XD I'm so happy! Oh! I nearly forgot! On Thursday, I was supposed to do this take home exam for Translation Techonologies. It was supposed to be available on the uni's website on Thursday night at 11pm. And it was due on in 24hours time... It didn't come up. O.o So a number of students (including me) were on the Discussion Board for the unit panicking. ^^' We were worried that some students got it, and some didn't. ^^' Well, it turned out that there was something wrong with the lecturer's computer or something. So it wasn't our fault. Phew. ^^' It was put up on Friday at about 10:30am. And the lecturer gave us 36 hours to do it this time. ^^ I had to write 300~500 words on... something... I can't remember, nor do I want to remember. ^^" The hard part of this exam was writing 333 words. I had 329 words, so I added a few words and it became 334. >.< So I deleted a word. Yeah I'm weird. XD On Wednesday, my classmate asked me to 'help' him with his essay again. >.< He was like "It's just 1000 words." o.o Everyone will be proud of me. Hehehe. I said "NO!" XD I told him that I have to go to work, and that it took 5 hours last time and all these other excuses. ^^ But he still tried to convince me into helping him, so I made the cutest smile and the preppiest voice I could make and said "Ganbatte kudasai!" ("Good luck/work hard" in Japanese's polite form) Ahahahahaha!!!!! He had to accept me saying no! XD Tomorrow, I have to go to the orthodontist's in the city after uni. >.< I used to have braces and I still have to use plates (retainers) once a week when I go to bed if the plate's tight... The thing is, I always forget, so I only use it once every forthnight. ^^" It's ok, coz my teeth are straight. ^^ I may even ask if I can get my wisdom teeth pulled earlier. Hm... I wrote alot again, didn't I? Sorry about that. ^^' I guess everything get's piled up inside me for a whole week. ^^' I think I'll post every Mondays from now on. I need a routine, or else I would never post! >.< But this routine's subject to change at any given time. ^^' As much as I need routines, I don't really like it. I feel bound and restricted. ^^' I wrote enough already, so I'll let you go. ^^ Here's a picture of Luna. =^^= She's just so cute that I can just eat her! 2 more weeks!

Just two more weeks to go until the end of this semester and my exam period starts. I have two exams and one assignment during that time, so it's not that bad. Once that's over, I'll be free for a whole month! XD My grandmother from Japan is coming for a visit too. I'll have a lot of free time, so I can finally catch up with my reading, do some extra studying, learn to drive and just relax. ^^ The best part is, I won't have to catch a bus or get on a train after dark. So no pervs can bother me! Oh and I can sleep in too! XD I went to work on Thursday and Friday. For those of you who don't know what my job is, I'm a casual receptionist at a community centre. It's a lot of fun, and the people that work there are great. But the people who come there can be a pain sometimes. I got yelled at before for something that wasn't my fault, but that didn't happen this time. ^^ I have to answer the phones too, which I hate doing. On Thursday, I was trying to help this lady out with her problems, but when I couldn't give her the help she wanted, she just hung up on me! >.< I'll be going to work this Thursday and Friday too. Today I have a brain teaser for you. You'll need six match sticks, like the ones in the first picture. ^^ If you're a pyromaniac, use toothpicks. ^.~ The aim is to make four triangles with them. You can't cross one on top of the other, like in the second picture. x.x And you can't break them, like in the third picture. I’m finally free! Ok, not quite but this is as close to it as it gets. ^^

Not just with my assignments too. But more on that later. I’m sure you all want to know the results on the little quiz from my previous post. I know it took me a while to post again, so I hope no one’s lost their drawing. ^^’ * The size of the window represents your openness to love. * The number of trees represents how many people likes you. *wink wink* * The hight of the fence represents how high your expectations in love are. So how did everyone go? ***** Ok, now to what I’ve been doing since my last post. I went to the city by myself. I first went to this anime shop and bought 2 CDs. It was 2 for $15 instead of the normal $20 each! O.O Well, they were um... good quality Chinese copies. ^^' The city was very polluted. My hair and clothes smelled when I got home. The smell of cigarettes and exhaust fumes from cars. Ew! >.< One is the OST of an old anime called "Ganbarisuto! Shou". I don't think it was ever released in English… It’s about this boy in high school who decides to take gymnastics as an extracurricular activity. But he’s really bad at it. This anime was aired in Japan from 1996 to 1997. I really used to enjoy this anime. So I was really happy when I saw the CD. XD The songs are quite different to the ones I normally listen to now, but they’re still really good. Very nostalgic. ^^ The other CD I bought was the OST of “Revolutionary Girl Utena”. I used to watch this anime back in Japan too. I haven’t been able to watch it here. -_-' Just haven’t had the time. This anime's music's quite unique. I think it suits the anime really well. I then went to a second hand Japanese bookshop and bought volume 1 and 2 of “Gasaraki”! XD But I haven’t had the time to read it yet. I just took a peak at the first few pages… The Japanese level's a bit too high for me, so I don't know how I’m going to be able to read it. T.T I also bought my monthly manga magazine. It’s called Nakayoshi and I’ve been reading it for like 8 years now. Think of it as the girls’ version of Shonen Jump. “Sailor Moon” and “Tokyo Mew Mew” are from this magazine. ^^ ***** I don’t think I wrote about this before, but I once “helped” a classmate of mine with his essay. (By “helped” I mean I did about 85% of the work) I didn’t want to, coz it's from a unit I don’t take and I have my own things to do as well. But he said that he would fail if I don’t help him… I read 7 pages of information that he was supposed to read; told him the main points in Japanese; wrote about 4 pages of notes to help him write his essay; and fixed his essay... All this in just 3 days... I got him a Pass. On Wednesday night, I got a text message from him DURING OUR class, which he had skipped. (He should've known that I had class! [and my phone was on vibrate, so don't jump down my throat about having it on during class >.<]) It said that he desperately needs my help. He said that all I had to do was check his English. I thought that it would only take about an hour, so I said yes. BIG MISTAKE! I re-wrote everything; paraphrased a couple of paragraphs to avoid plagiarism; added sentences and a paragraph to get to the minimum word limit; and searched for references on the net for the points I added... It took me 5 hours. T.T I ate lunch at 4pm. T.T *sigh* ***** Well, there's actually a reason to why it took 5 hours to fix that essay. (I think I should've had it done in about 3~4hours) We had guests over for about an hour and a half. So I was running back and forth between them and the essay. The guests were my grandmother’s neighbour from Turkey, her older sister, the sister's son and the son's son. The son and the kid lives here in Australia, and the neighbour and her sister are just visiting them. That kid was out of control! The father had absolutely no authority over him. Well of course! The boy’s 2 and a half years old and they didn’t bring a toy for him to play with. So the boy was trying to play with all the breakable ornaments in the living room. I could hear my mum constantly telling the kid to stop, followed by the father... Then came the tantrums. >.< The boy screamed then the father said “No! Don’t throw it! Here, play with this one, I don't think it would break that easily." >.< What kind of logic is that? It's still breakable... What I hate more than out of control kids are parents who can’t control their kids. When I went back into the living room, I saw the boy playing with a religious ornament. O.o The father was just plain rude allowing the boy to play with it. Maybe he didn’t mind coz it’s not HIS religion’s ornament? He kept on calling it the “Sydney Opera House” and mum kept on telling him that it isn’t, and that it’s a temple in India. Now I admit that they have some things which look somewhat similar, but he could’ve just said "the temple". How hard can it be to say that??? When they left, I had a HUGE headache. >.< I was too tired from the kid and my classmate's essay that I just really didn't want to do my assignment... And I only did a bit afterwards… ***** Yesterday was Mother’s Day. ^^ I made my mum her breakfast in bed. I saw that Lily (our land lady’s cat) was sleeping on my mum’s bed. Since she’s a mother too (5 her own and 3 foster), I gave her her breakfast in bed. My Luna’s a mother of 3 so I gave her her breakfast in bed too. Then to my surprise, Luna had made me breakfast too. XD After breakfast, mum and I went to the mall. I bought her a red skirt and black pants as her gift. I know that the whole surprise of a gift goes like that, but this way’s better for us. She gets exactly what she wants and needs, and I won’t later be told about what I should’ve gotten her. ^^” So there you have it. The things that happened since I last posted. I learned one very important thing: I need to learn how to say NO. >.< If I had said NO to that classmate of mine, I would’ve finished my assignments earlier, which would’ve given me time to go over it and fix anything that needs fixing, I would’ve been able to spend more quality time with my mum on Mother’s Day and all of this would’ve ultimately avoided the little nervous breakdowns I had… ***** Things have finally eased up a bit. ^^ Not long until this semester ends and my winter break starts. ^^ So I should be able to post a little more often, so that you won’t have to read anymore INSANELY long posts. ^.~ ***** I know that a lot of you have said that a Z is not a shape… Well I can’t help it, that’s how the quiz is. >.< Jaguar, sorry I tagged you when you were already tagged. I missed that post. T.T I went and read it and… and… I was tagged!? So I tagged you not knowing that you were tagged and that you had already tagged me... How embarrassing. >.< And even more embarrassing writing it here. ^^’ ***** I was going to post a brain teaser today, but I think I’ve tortured you all enough already. ^^’ So I’ll do that the next time. Why don’t I leave you with a picture of Luna and Lily? But first, here’s a brief history of the two. We took care of Lily when she was a kitten and our land lady went on a holiday to Greece for 6 months. Lily thinks of our house as her second house. Luna is extremely territorial, so she hates Lily. Lily really doesn’t care about what Luna thinks of her. ^^’ She comes by every morning for a nap. I just thought I should tell you about the intelligence quiz thing from my previous post. ^^ About time, right? XP (If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a look at my previous post before reading any more of this one. It's a good quiz) * People who chose the rectangle are intelligent people. * People who chose the triangle (the one I chose ^^) are lateral thinkers. They can look at things from all sides. * People who chose the Z are creative people. * And those of you who chose the circle... Hehehe... are people who only think about alcohol and sex. XD So was this quiz accurate? ^^ While I'm here, here's another quiz. This is from the Ciao Girls' Manga Magazine that I used to read in 1997. (It's the girls' version of Shonen Jump) You'll need a pen and paper. Or a pencil, or a crayon, whatever you like. ^^ * First, draw a house with a window. * Then draw trees around it. As many as you like. * Next, draw a fence around the house. You don't have to have a fence if you don't want it. Here's what I drew... The tree looks weird... >.< I'll post the results next time. ^^ For the past... 2 weeks or so, I've been doing one homework after another... And one assignment after another... I'm exhausted... And I haven't done much homework. So my @$$ has bite marks. ^^' I only have 2 more hours of computer time to myself. We only have 1 computer, and it's in my room. So dad made a timetable, where I'm only allowed to use the computer from 1pm ~ 6pm. It's 4pm now. T.T I need my own computer. *checks savings* I might have enough to buy a laptop... Maybe I can buy it by June. But that's when my semester ends! I won't have any homework for 2 months! *sigh* I'll figure something out. So far there are 3 people saying that Pupster's a puppy. And 3 people saying that he's a hamster. >.< And 2 saying that he's a hampster. ^^' It's a puppy! I don't care what you and BKstyles say! I think Pupster's a puppy! >.< Ehem, sorry about that outburst. ^^' I tried to make BKstyles say a word or 2 about this whole Pupster thing. But he won't say anything. T.T Maybe if everyone asked, he'll say something? Anyway, like I said before, uni starts again tomorrow. And it's the second half of this semester, so I'll be even more busy than before. Which means I won't be on MyO as much as I would like. (I haven't been to OB in like a month too ^^') So if I'm gone without saying anything, don't worry, an old perv at the train station did not get me. ^^" I'll comment and post as often as I can. But I'll check my PMs everyday. ^.~ And I'd hate to leave you all without posting any type of pics (Pupster doesn't count coz I posted him last time). Here's a psychology quiz I did at uni.
