I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in... 10days!? Man, I'm lazy. T.T I'm sorry... So much for my personal record... -_-
... I know there was something I was meaning to post about... Hm... Can't seem to remember... *goes to previous posts and comments* Oh right. Community Translation and Girls' Day. ^^'
Ok, first about Community Translation. It's a translation class between Japanese and English. We don't really study anything. We just translate community texts, and the teacher tells us what we did wrong. We then try to make our next translation text better. I hope that made sense. ^^' Oh and community texts are... um... stuff for the community. Like information pamphlets you would find in community centres and government-related offices. It could be about the different types of illness going around that we have to be careful of. Or different government supports. Voting information. All the things members of the community need to know for their day-to-day lives. I hope I made sense. If not, ask me where exactly I lost you. And I'll try to improve my explanations. ^^' Oh and I have 2 teachers for this class. One for English-Japanese translations. One for Japanese-English translations. And now they're telling me that I still have to do the Japanese-English translation assignments... So I have one late assignment now... T.T
And now to Girls Day. I don't really know what the Japanese are doing for it now, but I'll tell you what used to happen when I used to live there. ^^' There are these dolls that are displayed prior to Girls' Day, and they have to be taken down as soon as the celebration's over. Here's a pic I found on Wikipedia:
I know the pic's a bit big, but I wanted you guys to look at the detail. ^^ Girls would usually dress up in their kimonos and invite other girls for a party. Boys aren't invited. XP Well, it depends if the girl who's hosting the party wants to allow bboys to come or not. ^^ They're allowed to have some sake too, if the parents say that it's ok. And the reason as to why the display has to be put away as soon as the prty's finished is so that the girl can get married. If the display stays out for too long, then the girl would get married late. Superstitious? Yes, but it gets the house clean. ^^b
The dolls are REALLY expensive. You could probably buy half a brand new car with the money spent to buy the display in the above pic. So the dolls are passed down from generation to generation. And they are said to protect the girls during the celebration. I don't have my own set, since my mum's Turkish. So what I did in my final year of high school was to make my own. (it was also a school project) It's not that good. It's well, pretty crap. But I guess my daughter (if i ever have a daughter) would appreciate it... I hope. ^^'
These dolls are proudly displayed by the front door by my mum... It's been there for years... *sigh* I guess I'll never get married... T.T
Hm... That should be everything. ^^ If not, sorry. ^^' Oh right, I was going to post a pic of me and my first cat... Well, the post's really long now, so next time. ^^

Community Translation was supposed to be held on Thursdays. But the university changed it to Mondays at 1:30. My friends and I didn't know that. And we found out that we had missed the first lesson. We tried to get in touch with the teacher, but no such luck. Sunday night, I found about the assignments. That's what the last post was about.
After panicking about the assignments, I managed to finish them. Phew. They were 2 translation exercises. One was from English to Japanese. The other was from Japanese to English. I thought I would never finish them. But I managed to. (^o^)\ I thought that I had to hand them in by 11am. After handing them in (via the net), I realised that it said 11pm... What the? I swear that it was 11am. Oh well, as long as it's done. ^^b At 1:30, my friends and I went to class. At class, the teacher said that we didn't even need to do those assignments! WTF!? All that panic and stress was for nothing!? >.< I'm really upset about it. Grrrrr!!!!!
*sigh*
"3-2-1

What the heck is bothering me?"
What was this from? Family Ties...? The one with Steve Urcle (I hope that's how you spell his name ^^'). I haven't seen that show in a long time!
~March 3~
Magnus Lensherr: "Girls day! Now thats something we shouldhave over here...how do they celebrate it?" & (re: MSN addiction) "Be sure to watch that it doesnt become one again! Its way too easy to slip into old habits on occasions "
About Girls' Day, I'm on a computer at uni right now, so I'll write about it tomorrow or something. Coz I'm sure I have some good pics on it on the home computer. ^^
Ahaha, yeah I can feel the addiction creeping up on me again. ^^' I'll be careful. Thank you for the warning. ^^b
darkeangel: "cats are evil."
No they're not! >.< But yeah, my cat can be evil. ^^' But that just makes her even more adorable! XD
EternalParadise: "MSN is fantastic! Except for the part strange people add you >_< and are scary!" & "I took a stray cat in once, it was adorable!"
I know! All these weird people add me. T.T All these Turks add me and start to talk to me in Turkish. And I'm like "How do you know that I'm Turkish and that I can speak Turkish!? O.o" That's why I have an e-mail address just for public places. So if anyone wants to chat to me on MSN, just PM me. Then I'll give my personal address to you. ^^b
My first cat was a stray too. (Luna's my second cat) She used to treat me as her little sister. (I was 2 at the time) Oh! I have a great pic on my computer! I promise to put it up later! ^^
~March 4~
Magnus Lensherr: "Yikes that evil"
Yes! That's right! The teachers are evil! (I have 2 for Community Translation) EARN YOUR PAY!
Jaguar: "I'm not usually around on the weekends but you're lucky and I found some time to comment this early morning! Hehehe" & "I seem to recall a New Years celebration in March."
I feel so lucky! ^///^
That's right! The last day of fasting is New Year's Eve. The sun set is like 12midnight. So when the sun sets, it's our New Year, and we get to eat! Yum! ^^b
Elena the Turk: "Good Luck and dont wrry bout us here on TheO ok?"
Thank you! And I love your new avi! XD

I did nothing today, so I have nothing to write about. So I can just not post, but I'm going for a personal record. ^^
Well, I was chatting to BKstyles (from OB) on MSN today. It was so much fun! Chatted for like 3 hours or something. Reminds me of why I was so addicted to MSN in the first place. He was the first to cheer me up when my bf broke up with me. He's a really good friend. ^^
I was chatting with Fortuna Jewels the other day too. I just love MSN so much. But it's no onger an addiction, so I'm happy. ^^
That's all I have to say today, so I'm going to comment on your comments. Well, I could just comment on the comment box, but I write too much. ^^'
~March 1~
darkeangel: "wow. good catch Luna.."
95% of the lizards in my yard have no tails...
Jaguar: "Hehehe I see falling T's too...but I figured that FireFox just messed it up."
Can ANYONE see the snow flakes!?
~March 2~
Fortuna Jewels: "Science always discovers things last as spirituality was always there from the beginning of time..."
I think it's harder for people to just simply believe in something. (maybe 'simply' isn't the right word, but you know what I mean ^^') I think that people find it easier to believe in science coz it provides proof. But that's just my personal opinion (at 1am).
darkeangel: "... the first thought that enters my head when somebody mentions they are fasting is: are you MAD? ^^;;;"
Honestly, I thought the same way when I was old enough to fast. ^^' (at the age of 15) But I'm actually quite used to it. I usually don't eat much, but when the thought of fasting comes, I eat A LOT for breakfast, and even more for dinner. So ultimately, I'm eating more than usual. ^^' I probably would gain weight by the end of it. ^^'
Jaguar: "My cats hold a grudge for days! LoL" & "Hmm as long as you're careful about your fasting its all good! ^^ " & "Can I ask what religion you are?"
Last year, Luna actually attacked me in my sleep. T.T
I don't fast when I go to school, coz my brain stops when I'm hungry. And my studies are really important to me, especially coz I'm dumb and need to take every lesson seriously. ^^' But that's just me. There are those that are exempt from fasting: pregnant women, children, those that are ill, those that need to take medicines, the elderly, those who do strenuous labor as work, those who are travelling long distances and women at their time-of-the-month. I know that I'm not on the list, but in my view, it's better than praying to God for a miracle during an exam, coz I'm sure God has better things to do. ^^
I'm a Baha'i. I'm sure that not many people have heard of it. ^^' It's alright, I get it a lot. In a nutshell, we believe in progressive revelation. So we believe that a new messenger of God would come every 1000 years or so, to give the human kind it's new holy book. If you want to know more, just PM me. But I don't think I can give you much satisfactory answers... You could also check www.bahai.org if you're really interested. ^^
sbsp13668: "I don't really like the idea of putting a cat in that little thing, and I can see how cruel people could use it against pets too."
I think it's a bit cruel too. Cruel coz of the squishing and the trauma. Not cruel coz it prevents injuries. But yeah, yesterday's vet didn't put Luna in the crusher, and she still got her shot, so I'm happy. ^^
Here's Luna sleeping on my bed. I wonder what she's dreaming about?
Oh crap! I forgot to write that today's Girls' Day in Japan. Happy Girls' Day everyone!

Starting today, I'll be fasting for 19 days. Not 19 days straight, just between sunrise and sunset. If it was 19 days straight, I'll die. It's part of my religion, so I'll be fasting with my mum. Not only is it a religion thing, it's also really good for your health (to fast for about 2 weeks a year). It's a natural detox.
Um, other than the fasting, mum and I took Luna to the vet's for her yearly vaccination. Poor Luna. T.T She had a bit of traumatic experience last year, so she had a little accident in her carry bag when we got to the vet's. It was a number 2... Mum and I told the vet that she's anti-social, so he should be careful. When he asked how bad she was on a scale of 1~10, I answered 15. ^^' Luna's really cute, smart, affectionate, but she hates strangers. She became like this when she was about 1 year old. Anyway, after the vaccination, Luna was so cranky. She's sleeping now. But she hasn't touched her dinner. T.T
The traumatic experience Luna had last year was with a different vet. (Same place, different guy.) That vet couldn't control Luna, so he had to put her in a "crusher". It's a cage where one of the walls move to squish Luna to the other side. She can't move, and therefore she's vaccinated without any injuries to herself, or the vet. Sure the crusher was a bit mean, but the vet was a really nice guy. Here's the pic:
I also saw "love actually" on TV again. I reallt like that movie. If I were ever to buy a romance movie's DVD, that would be it. ^^
Oh, I have to go to bed. It's 1:30am, and I have to get up at 5:30 tomorrow to have breakfast before the sun rises. Good night everyone! And have sweet dreams!

I'm writing again! I'll try to make this a short post. Everyone must be tired of my long posts. ^^
I'll tell you why I'm scared of driving. (I remember that I said I will in one of my posts.) It's a bit of a long story, so bare with me. ^^
When I was 13, my family and the neighbours went to the amuzement park. One of the rides we went on was the Bumper Cars. And for the first time, I was given my dad's permission to drive it alone. Just my luck, the car I sat in was broken. It only went backwards! I panic, of course. And I told the guy in charge of the ride that my car's broken. He said that it wasn't. So I try to make the car move forwards. You know those tyres they have on the edges, so that when you crash into the wall, nothing will break? Well, I got stuck in between those tyres. And my mum decides to rescue me by crashing into me. The plan doesn't work, and she gets stuck too. Soon, every car got stuck. We spent 5 minutes of the 10 minute ride all bunched together. All coz of me. T.T That's why whenever the thought of driving enter's my mind, I imagine a massive pile-up. Real life's much worse than 20 angry people in bumper cars.
roseeyes: "Any specific reason why you have falling T's on your site?"
Eh? Falling T's? Those are supposed to be snow flakes? I wonder why you see T's? But now that you mention it, the snow flakes kind of look like six T's put together. ^^
sango87: "Its ok I would rant a couple days if my bf broke up with me then i'd get very depressed and then die." & "Where do you live again?"
I've been ranting for over a month. So it's time I stopped. ^^' If I don't stop, not only would it annoy everyone (including me), it'll turn into an obsession. In my case, anyway. (I tend to obsess about everything.) & I live in Sydney, Australia. It's summer and going into autumn now. It's strange, coz a lot of people's posts are about how cold it is with the snow and such. And I'm here sweating from the heat. ^^'
Jaguar: "But I think psychology might be a good side to have on that for an elective."
Yeah, I thought that if I understand people better, I'll be able to translate better too. I kind of see translators like a photocopy machine. You put in a Japanese text, for example, then hit copy, and the exact same thing (as humanly possible) comes out in English. I think that in the translation classes, we focus too much on the text, and not on the person who wrote it. So I thought that I should learn to understand the motivations behind writing the text, as well as the text itself. If my translation improves as a result of psychology, I'm right. If my translation stays the same, or becomes worse, then I was wrong. We'll just have to wait and see. ^^
Eeek! The posts becoming long again! So I'll leave it here with a picture of my cat. ^^ This is Luna and a lizard she caught:

I'm posting for the third day in a row! O.o Amazing, I didn't know that I had this much to say. ^^ I think it's coz I'm back at uni, and not being boring at home.
This is the last time I'm going to write about my ex. Unless I absolutely have to. ^^' Coz I know that I have to get over him sooner or later. Oh, and I'm not really angry at him for anything. Yeah, I have bursts of anger, but they die out fairly quickly. I'm more angry at myself for allowing him to bocome the centre of my life. I don't think that we'll ever work things out properly. I mean, I know what I did wrong, accepted full resposibility and apologised. He understood why I said the things I said, accepted my apology (I think ^^') and said that he should've been a better bf. The thing is, he couldn't get over it. And, I don't care anymore. Everyone I told the reasons for him breaking up with me, said that I didn't do anything wrong. I think that what I said was justified, but I still shouldn't have said them. And I don't care if he ever gets over it or not, coz I did apologise and accept responsibility. And we are friends. ^^ And lastly, I REALLY MISS HIM!!!!!
Japanese class was relatively fun. ^^ I've had the teacher twice before. She's really nice. And she admits times when she's wrong, or doesn't know the answer to a question. (I'm really happy about this coz last year, I had a teacher who would ignore students' questions when she didn't know the answer.) But it finishes at 7pm. T.T And the uni has the nerve of calling it a Day Class. Taking the train home in the dark was realy scary! T.T The area of the train station I take isn't that safe. (The train station's a 20 minute bus ride from my uni.) I got home at 8:30.
It was raining really bad today. The south-west of Sydney's flooded. Lots of thunder and lightning from about 2pm till 4pm. And on the news, it said that an elderly guy was struck by lightning! O.o He's in the hospital now.
darkeangel: "maybe everyone should be issued with a rubber hammer thing. i think that would improve society."
That would be great! You know how you get a key when you turn 21? But why give a key, when a rubber hammer's much more useful! The government should give out rubber hammers to anyone who's old enough to vote! (I don't know why I said 'old enough to vote'. It just sort of came out. ^^')
Jaguar: "Right now I'm stuck using a cane to walk around with and I keep fighting the urge not to smack people on the head with it."
That is a really difficult urge to fight. ^^ You know those canes with knives hidden in them? Any chance there are canes with rubber chickens or rubber hammers hidden in them? I think that they should be a standard issue for canes. ^^
Reading yesterdays comments, I realised that there are people who don't know what I'm studying at uni. (Which doesn't surprise me at all) I guess I'll tell you what I'm studying, since I'll probably be talking about my classes alot. Well, at the moment, I'm doing my second year in "Bachelor of Arts: Interpreting and Translation". The subjects I have to do are "Translation Technologies", "Community Translation" and "Japanese 305: Creactive Practical Writing". I can do one elective this semester, and I chose to do "Psychology: Human Behaviour". As you can see, I study languages, and that's why I'm having doubts about being in the Psychology class.
I mentioned before about taking up tatting. So here's my first tatting creation. I've done more since then, but I thought that it would be appropriate to show the first one. I'm sorry that the pics really crap. I took like 10 pics of it, and this was the best one. The real one's smaller. It's about 3.5cm. Which is 1.5inches? Oh, and it's white. ^^' I was thinking that it's a sakura (cherry blossom), which is my favourite flower. But my mother says that it's a snow flake. Which one does it look like to you? Or does it look like something else? And what's your favourite flower?

Wow! I'm actually writing a post 2 days in a row! Isn't it one of the signs of the apocalypse? Ahaha
From what I've written yesterday, my ex kind of seems like a jerk. Oops. He's actually a really nice guy. Totally sweet, caring and smart. ^^ He just doesn't know the things that seems obvious to us. Like how he should worry if I'm not on the internet for 1 day. ^^' He did actually start talking to me on MSN last night. (About an hour after I wrote my post) He said that he didn't reply to my text message coz his phone bill went over $100... Lame excuse, but I'm used to those. ^^' He's a really good guy, except for the reasons he gave for dumping me, and how he's treating me after he dumperd me.
I was going to write about something else... I can't remember... *looking at the comments from previous post* Got it!
darkeangel's right. I'm dwelling on my ex too much. I always dwell on things too much. I should do something about it... At the moment, I think I'm dwelling on the fact that I dwell too much. ^^'
Jaguar said that: "Rude boys need to be smacked around with a rubber chicken!" There's actually a TV ad here about a bank. A pregnant lady's standing in full bus, and this young guy's not getting up to let her sit. So she repeatedly hits him on the head with a plastic balloon hammer. And then it goes on to say something like "where did all the people who gave you seats go? They're all working at *** bank". (I can't remember the bank's name ^^')
Magnus Lensherr: "Maybe he was too scared to say something to you like thinkign you might attack him if he did!" That's it! You're so smart! XD He doesn't really show any emotions, other than happy, to people. But he always shows me his feelings. Maybe he's going back and forth about showing emotions to me.
SHIT! I'm dwelling again! I need to stop!!!!! I'm starting to annoy myself! And I can't be bothered to edit this post. Sorry.
Oh! I almost forgot why I'm actually writing this post! ^^' I had my first psychology lecture today. It's fun. And the lecturer's really good. But I'm kind of doubting whether or not I should be there. Kind of wondering if I'll be able to handle the class. But there's nothing else I actually want to do. I was thinking about English, Text & Writing, but my English should improve by taking psychology... I think. We'll see how this turns out.
I have Japanese Creative Practical Writing tomorrow. The problem is, I haven't been using much Japanese recently, so I'm really nervous. I'm going to suffer in this class too. T.T I'll just have to give it my all, and hope that Equivalent Exchange will work out properly. Like getting a good grade, and not gaining failing experience, or something like that. ^^
Ok! I've stopped making sense a few paragraphs ago, so I should go. ^^' Um, just thinking if there's any pic to show you... Damn! I can't think of any. T.T Maybe I should ask a question instead? How about "what's your favourite colour?" I'm just kidding! ^^ Here's the real question:
What's your favourite subject at school? Or your favourite part of school? (It doesn't have to be your current school) And why?
In high school we had DEAR (Drop Everything And Read). We had 40 minutes a week to read whatever we wanted, in any language we wanted. As long as we read something. I used to read manga. ^^' Do I really have to tell you why? :P

I haven't been on the internet since Thursday. So I haven't been able to visit anyone's site. I'm sorry. T.T It's just that my dad's constantly been on the computer, not giving me a chance to use it. And on Saturday, when he wasn't on the computer, there was a thunder/lightning storm. My dad doesn't allow the computer to be on during those. (A few years ago, a lighting struck my cousin's house and fried her computer)
Today was the first day of the new school year. I had my Translation Technologies lecture. It was really boring. But on the plus side, I might be learning about HTML and other computer programming. Yay! I didn't know that I had to learn these to become a professional translator between Japanese and English... ^^'
I'm actually on MSN now... And I don't feel like I have to be talking on someone on it. I'm finally over my MSN addiction. Which is really good, coz before, I used to sleep at 3am from chatting on MSN.
Yesterday, I watched "Bridget Jones' Diary The Edge of Reason" for the first time. It was really good. I liked it. Except for 2 things, which really pissed me off...
One was where Bridget made Mark Darcy (I hope I spelled that right) say that he loves her twice. He said it, then Bridget said "what?" coz she couldn't believe that he said it. Then after he said it, she said something like "I'm sorry, I couldn't quite catch that" and made him say it again. I asked my bf to say it once, coz I couldn't believe that he said it, and I got dumped!
The second was when Mark said that he wanted to ask Bridget something, and she said "as long as it's not 'will you marry me?'". Then she finds out that it was, and she still manages to get a proposal from him!
Hit a really sore spot. T.T
I haven't been on MSN for 19 days. (Yes, I've been counting) I'm on now, and my ex's online. They're not saying anything. Before I decided to stop using MSN for a while, I was online every single night. I left MSN without saying anything. And he's not saying anything... I could've stopped using MSN coz I died! Does he care!? NO! He said that he's my friend... that lying SOB! He's right, I could do so much better than him!
Sorry about that everyone. My anger's calmed down now... Damn, it turned into depression... I'm not even worth being his friend! T.T
Anyway, the post's becoming too long. So I'll leave it here. Oh, my cat was under our neighbour's house. (Most houses in Sydney don't have cellar's or basements) Most of you said basement and attic. I guess I should've taken the picture better. ^^' But the best answer I got was fire place/chimney. It does look like a fire place. I never would've thought of it in a million years!
Sorry, no cat picture today. Too sleepy. Well, I'm off to visit your sites! (^o^)/
