APPLESEED


Plot Summary:
Set in a post-apocalyptic 2131 A.D.A.D., girl mercenary Deunen Knute finds herself spirited away from the badlands to the gleaming utopian city of Olympus. There she's reunited with her ex-boyfriend Briareos, now half-man and half-cyborg. Deunen learns from new handler Hitomi that Olympus' serenity is founded on the use of bioroids, genetically engineered clones that hold key positions in the city's government. Hitomi herself is one. Superpowerful computer Gaia monitors all through the mediation of seven Yoda-esque elders. When a shadowy faction opposed to the bioroids' civic control start blowing stuff up, Deunen and Briareos team up to protect the city.


Release Date: January 14, 2005

Apparently there were some older AppleSeed anime movies, and this is a new one that is going to be released in January. I have never watched any of the AppleSeed movies, but I’ve heard it’s a cross between Akira and Robocop. Let me know if you have seen any of them, and what you think. ^__^

I went and got some manga today, and they gave me a free sneak peek summer 2005 graphic novel with nine different sneak peeks of mangas that are to be released soon. Here are a few that look interesting.

Zatch Bell

Plot Summary:

Kiyo is depressed guy,and was suddenly given a mamodo named Zatch Bell to take care of. Kiyo didnt know Zatch was a mamodo, in a fight to see who is the king of the mamodo world. All of the mamodo have to pick a master on Earth and fight with other mamodo until one survives. Through their many battles, Kiyo learns the importance of friendship and courage.



Kekkaishi

Plot Summary:

By night, junior high student Yoshimori Sumimura is a “kekkaishi”a demon-hunter who specializes in creating magical barriers around his prey. By day, Yoshimori’s got some other demons to battle: an addiction to sweets and a seriously crotchety grandfather! Yoshimori?s pretty 16-year-old neighbor and childhood friend, Tokine Yukimura, is also a kekkaishi, but their families are feuding over who is the “true practitioner” of the art.

Yoshimori couldn’t care less about catching demons?until he realizes that his apathetic attitude is taking a toll on his friendship with Tokine. Just as he decides to take matters into his own hands, a couple of amphibious demons and the pesky ghost of a pastry-chef show up to complicate matters!

Sanzo and Goku


Sanzo was told to take care of the monkey and had a stressful time keeping up with him. Like his human profile he is a little loud and had zero temper especially to Goku (he calls him his pet). But to Goku he is “shining like the sun” because of his long golden blond hair.

Sanzo/Goku is love.

Kingdom Hearts




Sora's world is shattered when a violent storm hits his home, and is seperated from his two closest friends. The storm scatters the three to unknown worlds. At the same time, there is turmoil in the Disney Castle. King Mickey is missing, and Court Wizard Donald and Captain Goofy are out to find him. On their travels they meet Sora, on his own search for his lost friends. The three are told of ominous creatures called Heartless, being without hearts derived from an unknown dimension and are the ones responsible for the devastating storm. The Disney villians, enticed by the power of darkness, manipulate the Darkness to help them gather the princesses of heart, who are needed to open a mysterious final door. Upon discovering the link between the Heartless, the storm, and the disappearance of King Mickey, Sora, Donald, and Goofy join forces and help familiar Disney heroes to save their worlds from the Heartless.

Beloved Disney characters such as Goofy, Donald, and Mickey interact with many characters from the Final Fantasy RPG series and characters from the Disney animated films

Can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 2 to come out!

Vampire Hunter D BloodLust



It is many thousand years in the future. Vampires once ruled the night but have seen their numbers reduced by fearless bounty hunters. One such hunter is D, the halfbreed son of a human mother and vampire father. When a girl from a rich family is taken from her home by the vampire Meier Link, her father contracts both D and the Markus brothers (a rival group of hunters) to race to retrieve her. As the heroes fight their way through Meier's hired guards, they begin to suspect that the girl may have gone with him willingly.

In my option BloodLust is so much better than the original Vampire Hunter D.
