My training wasn't enough. I still lost to that damn Yuki.
That's a line from the first volume, where Kyo is trying to apologize to Tohru. I thought I'd use a line from that scene, since it fits what I'm going to say later in this post...
Anyways, I watched the dvd with the first and second episode of Fruits Basket (it's dubbed by the same company as Fullmetal Alchemist, FUNimation. o.o)
It was...okay. I mean, the episodes themselves were hilarious, but the voices...ehh...it didn't really fit what I had in mind...
Kyo's dub voice sounds kind of high-pitched, and young too (he's only 15...right? *sweat-drop*)
I imagined a more rough voice...
Tohru's voice seemed more gentle in my imagination, while her dub voice is a little...well, it doesn't really fit how she looks. It might sound good to some people, and it might not to others...
Uotani's voice was perfect, though. So was Hanajima's.
Yuki...erm...how should I start...he sounds too...calm and cool. Not "cool" in a good way either. >_>
Shigure's voice was great! It was really funny when he kept laughing during (and after) he and Yuki discovered Tohru was living in a tent. Nicely done. XDDDDD
I haven't watched the japanese version yet, but I'll get to that later...they should have made Yuki's dub voice a female...it would have fit A LOT better, I assure you.
But that "I Love Yuki" thing the Yuki Fan Club did was kind of annoying... >_>;;
Okay, so here's the deal (although I REALLY don't like to do this...):
I dunno why exactly, but apparently when I don't see my friends for a while...or Evan...I get kind of...grumpy, I guess. I suppose it's just because...uh...I don't have anyone to talk to, and I'm stuck playing an aggravating video game all week. So of course that'd put me in a REALLY bad mood.
SO......if I did anything to piss anybody off...you can just ignore me or whatever.
Okay...I did not like saying that...
Oh yeah, I attempted to do an Ed sprite...it was just something simple because I was bored, so don't go crazy on me if a lot of details are missing...
Everything's made from scratch. :o
