ITS SO WINDY!

I mean really. I can say that too. Because I've been to Chicago...many times...and it is not as bad as here. Really. And the wind almost took my door off my car. I was very very mad. No one hurts my car. On a different note, I just got back from Ames. Good times were had, chicken parmesan was made, and I finally got to see The Book of Eli. It was a fairly good movie, I must say. Didn't make it into my top ten, but still pretty close. Hopefully things calm down now, and I can relax and get some work around the house done...so fun...

Oh Tinsel...

I even drew pictures of it. Darn you summer break! You and your making-me-lazy-ness! So ya...his name is Tinsel, and he is about to become a child because i take very good care of him. Yay me! I love rain...

I love the rain. It just gives me a good feeling for some reason. Especially when there is thunder. This makes me an especially weird person because my best friend hates thunderstorms. Oh rain, how I have missed you! Moving on. So ya. I was at Veishea...four weeks ago? Ya that seems about right. Now you are probably asking yourselves, what in the bloody world Veishea is. Well, let me tell you. VEISHEA stands for my university's celebration of...well, everything. From its activities to students to staff to classes. The actual letters stand for: Veterinary Engineering Industrial Science Home Economics Agriculture VEISHEA! Those are the five colleges inside my university, thus the reason for it. Needless to say, its been around since 1922, so its kinda a big thing. Plus there are free stuff and tons of things to do! So that kept me pretty busy. Then there was dead week. Who decided it was a good idea to have VEISHEA the week before dead week? For those who don't know, dead week is the week were everything on campus is silent and everyone is cramming for finals the next week. Its the week were all classes basically stop. Thus, DEAD week. So lots of studying going on from me. Then it was finals week. I hate finals. Not because they are hard, or because they are tests. I hate them because I always end up getting a final at 7:30 in the freakin morning. Or if it isn't that, its that my last final is on that friday at 8:00 at night, so I can't even move out until that saturday. Unfortunately, it was the first of the two I had this time. I actually got out on Wednesday of last week, but woe was me, I didn't move out of the apartment until friday. Figured I'd get as much of the lease out of it as I could. Then this week. I hate that stupid old router. I had to keep resetting when I was home anyway because it would crap out and of course, the computer engineer can fix it! Because we don't know anything about technology, my family says happily. And it freaks my mom out that the instructions are on a CD and there isn't a paper copy. That kinda makes me frustrated because that means I'm going to get phone calls of "What's going on, I can't get onto the internets?" and "The cat pulled a cord out and I don't know if I should put it into the internet slot or the ethernet slot." Oh the joys I will be having over this...and there was much rejoicing...

Twilight Princess...and it doesn't have to do with vampires

Thats why I needed you...needed someone to punish me for my sins...but thats all over now...I know the truth. -James Sunderland: Silent Hill 2 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ya...I am current addicted to a game called Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess...and I can't decide if I like it more than Ocarina of time. I mean, I love OoT because of the puzzles and its the first Zelda game I ever played and got me into the series. It was the pivotal point in my gaming life that really made me learn to appreciate RPG games and puzzle solving. BUT! Twilight princess has a phenomenal story line. I couldn't even predict where it was going. And it was great to see how they changed the characters from the ones that I had in OoT. It also has a much better battle system than OoT. I also enjoy that it has something that no others have, which is the ability to turn into a wolf. Oh what a dilemma. And when I'm not doing that...which is a lot of time...I work or do homework. SO needless to say, I've been busy. I'm sorry I don't get on so often as I want. I also feel bad about abusing my artwork. I feel so bad for my sketchbook. It just sits in front of me with a sad face. Poor thing....

You Darn Kids!

We took the Japanese, Indonesian, and Middle East students outside and taught them how to play Frisbee. Of course it was fun, and I had a good laugh because the Japanese students kept cussing in their language, which got me started doing it too. Everyone was so surprised at how good the americans are at throwing it and were surprised that we had so many ways to throw it. Needless to say, I started diving for it and running with the students and now all my bad joints are protesting. But it was so worth it. So very worth it. Afternoon well spent. Especially now that I have to write a lab report and finish a homework assignment I forgot was due tomorrow... oops...

Uni...again

Thats why I needed you...needed someone to punish me for my sins...but thats all over now...I know the truth. -James Sunderland: Silent Hill 2 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We just had our spring break last week and I couldn't relax for all of it. I had to work...woo hoo. And it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to work at five o'clock in the morning. Thats really crappy, but I did get eight hours out of it so I can't complain too much. Also, work is exhausting now. We have all those Indonesian students who appeared and they are energetic and making it really tiring to teach. Bleh. I am so tired... Anyway. I have been drawing and being creative lately, which isn't necessarily a good thing right now. I have college to worry about and my classes are rather concrete in what I need to do right now. It makes life kinda difficult. Also, I have a HUGE urge to watch Silent Hill since I can't play the second one. Silent Hill 2 is one of my absolute favorite video games. It is psychological, you don't understand everything till you play it more than once, and its not just for the casual gamer, you have to have played console games since the early playstation games to rock hard core at it. Absolutely amazing.

...Sleep...

Thank god! Unfortunately, I have a lot homework to do, but it should be just fine. None of it is due until I get back from break. I also have to come back early and get a bunch of students to another test. And of course its at 7 in the morning. Yay... Anyway. I am so happy that I will get to relax and play video games. And sleep. I missed sleep. I really want to sleep...its sounds nice... Also, I really just want to not do anything. But my father has other plans. I have to have an interview with the Mayor, who I have taken home from him and my father drinking together before. So this is bound to be weird. Especially cause he will be my boss if I do well in this interview. Ugh... I'm going to go get food now cause I haven't eaten all day and I'm starting to get dizzy.

Westboro Baptist Church

For everyone else, here is a quick summary. The Westboro Baptist Church is a church in Topeka, Kansas. They are anti-gay, anti people for gays, anti-military, anti-jews, anti-any other religion, and anti-brittney Spears. ...okay, the last one was a little off, but heres the gist of them. They believe that god hates everyone. Yes, everyone. Especially America, Ireland, Sweden, and Canada. They are most known for protesting at funerals, especially military funerals. They have signs that say thank god for 9/11, thank god for DUI's, thank god for dead soldiers, God hates f**s, and god hates Jews. They have told broadcasters on international television that the broadcaster isn't Christian. Yet, they say that they don't hate America, but god does. Second paragraph time. I have studied the bible, just like I have studied all religions that are well known, like buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Greek and Roman Mythology so that I don't sound ignorant when I argue against them. So when I say something about the bible, I really know what I'm talking about. These people are definitely not reading the bible correctly at all. There are several references to God loving all man kind in three books in the old testament, and multiple others in the new testament, all conveyed by Jesus Christ himself. There are references to love thy neighbor, and that forgiveness shall let you in to the glory and wonder of heaven upon death. The church seems to just skip over these all together. The worst part of it is, that none of them have any mental illness, or lower IQ's. They are just influenced. Most of them see the logic in what they are doing. They think that it is perfectly logical to think these things and do these things. The problems of being a social creature is that we are easily influenced depending on certain things. I do not agree with what they are doing in the least, but I do not think of them as having something wrong with them. I merely see them as being influenced in the wrong way. A good example of what is happening with them, is with Hitler. He convinced an entire country that the jews were not human. And he destroyed them...which by the way, the Westboro Baptist church thinks was a great thing...and a lot of people, normal people, believed him. It just makes my heart cry to see these people not understanding what is really being said to them. That they are just blindly following like most people in this and any other country. All because we are social creatures of persuasion. Sorry, I really needed to get that off my chest. They said something recently that I just couldn't hold my unending anger at them in and I needed to rant about them. For those of you that want to know, I'm atheist, if that wasn't obvious enough. Alright, thats all I got to say.

Sorry about that

Sorry about that, just a lot of things in my life have been pretty crazy lately. I don't even know where to start. Well, Lets just give the school excuse first. This was midterms week. I had two exams this week, and another one next week. Lucky me. Unfortunately, the two last week were my hardest classes, and they were one day after the other. I had one thursday morning, and one friday morning. So bleh to that. Then last week, a family friend fell, cracked her head open and started bleeding in her brain. Had the whole family up in a roar and I didn't even hear it from my parents. I had to hear it from my cousin who just so happened to be on facebook. Another thing was one of my professor sprang a surprise homework assignment that was supposed to take two weeks on my class and set it due in five days. On top of that, my hardest class that I had an exam on thursday for, had a homework assignment due on that wednesday...the life of a engineering student is indeed tough.
