Spaghetti dinner went well. . . .
Well, thought I would tell you guys about the 'sketti dinner. ^_^
Got there at 2 pm... pouring rain, right? And earlier that morning, SNOW! In the desert!! I was really psyched about that...
We drive up to the community center, and we're the first ones there, so, we just sat in my mom's truck till somebody with the keys got there. I had forgotten my jacket, so, when our youth pastor got there, I ran inside, trying not to get wet. Once inside, I kinda lounged around, nothing to do. Then, they told us to set up the tables and chairs, yadda yadda. I kinda felt misplaced at first, because it seemed as if I was bothering everyone... like normal... -_-
Anyhoo, we got the tables up, and then the table covers, etc. Once everything was ready, Jeremiah (youth leader) went through a waitor/waitress etiquette and the kitchen workers went back and began cooking the spaghetti. It was rather simple, nothing complicated... I mean, we were serving a salad, spaghetti, and desert... it's not like we had a huge menu or anything.
People started walking in around 5:15, and Brittany (hostess) seated them. Fortunately, Steven (my partner in crime... I mean... lol! My waitor partner guy) got his family, and I got mine! So, that was fun. I kept running across the room, asking if he needed any help. His response? "Nope." Haha...
At one point, my table was eating, and his table was eating, and he was leaning on the wall across from me, and he kept glancing, turning his head, and it was cracking me up. So, I just started laughing and his face got all red... it was hilarious... ^^
Of course, we're just friends... nothing more... I think him and Jessica (one of my idols!) are like, "under the rug" boyfriend/girlfriend. At least, it seems that way. She's a lot older than him, though. Oh well.
Around 7, I had two more tables to serve, and by then, I had a throbbing headache, an empty, growling stomach (hadn't eaten since about 10 that morning) and SORE feet. So, I begged for some Advil from Erin (Jessica's mommy ^_^) and I sat down and had some spaghetti. Shew.
Actually, forgot to mention - Rebecca and I are getting along. I mean, we don't hang out or anything, but if I need to talk to her... like, I had to order from her at the dinner (she was working in the kitchen) and we were having small talk... so, I guess that's progress, right? Truly, it's extremely relieving without all that tension between us.
ANYWAYS... yeah, as you know, reading on about my ramblings, the dinner went well. Came home last night, and watched the Rebel Billionaire... awesome show! ^____^
Ohh yeah... guess what?? My prior post - cat got stuck - two nights ago, my OTHER cat - Duchess - came in, all wet on her stomach, her legs, and her tail... she had fallen (somehow) into a bucket of gasoline!! And, you know how cats just LUUURRRVE water, right? rofl... we had to give her a bath in the sink... which, she did not enjoy...
It's still not all off. That stuff is really difficult to wash off. Poor thing... I almost think that our neighbour kid, Douglas, poured it on her... to catch her on fire, or something... little demonic--
Umm. Hi. lol
I dunno why lately my cats have such bad luck... >_<
Allrighty, out for now!
