myOtaku.com: Razekiel

My Avatar

Hi. I'm nineteen. Uhhhh... O well. I'm not much of an otaku anymore but I do watch great anime when I have the chance. My drawing style ranges from anime to semi realistic to realistic... kinda like Crying Freeman, or Final Fantasy types. hehehe. By the way, just call me Nick. Razekiel is actually the name ofone ofthe characters that in a comic that I'm still developing.

Yeah, looking at my drawings, you guys can say that I like drawing girls. I think they're pretty hard to draw, too, especially if one is a male artist and he's trying to capture the real essence of his subject matter whithout inducing malice or that "sex sells" policy most male artists incorporate in their drawings.

I don't like copying a drawing as is, and since I'm pretty lousy at it, most of the time, I create the images from my mind. I can't draw an anime character in the style it's presented, I use my own style but still try to convey the character... it's pretty hard, you know.

Funny thing is, I can't copy or draw real people well. But I can convert them to anime... and I can't draw anime well... but I can convert them into semi-realistic.

   Yoji Shinkawa Rocks
Anyone here know Yoji Shinkawa? He's one of the best Japanese character designers... he's the one who illustrated for Metal Gear.

What's amazing is that this dude doesn't use pencilks. He draws directly with a brushpen.
