meh-naw...
I have a late start today so I thought I would take the time to write a small, uninteresting post.

A couple of days ago I got a new sketch book which makes me fairly happy. I haven't dawn since the end of September and it's nice to pick up the pencil again.

The semester ends next week. The horror of P.E. draws ever nearer! I'm really dreading it. And I lose the class that I look forward to the most in the day, art.

reflection
I just realized that it is New Year's Eve. Crazy. So do any of you have resolutions you'd like to share?

Well, the last day of the year. 2006 is upon us. Time for some reflection!

I've never had a "bad" year. Some pretty bad stuff has happened this year, but I don't see it as "bad," as in, I can't pick it out and say "Oh, yes, that was a horrible year." Five deaths total this year. Three accquaintences and two relatives. Depressing, yes, but I suppose because I wasn't very close to these people, except my grandfather, who died in November, I wasn't/am not much affected. And my grandfather's death, well, I guess that hasn't hit me yet. And I won't even get into the other worldly things that happened this year. All I can hope for is 2006 being much better.

Heh. Sorry, that was a little morbid. However, I wish you all a good and happy new year.

The party last night was really interesting. The whole thing lasted for 12 hours. It was suppose to end at 8 pm but the last people didn't leave until...almost midnight. But we all had a lot of fun.

...sigh....
I can finally rest. The last day was today. I've been waiting for this break for a long time but now that it's here...it just doesn't feel like the beginning of a break. Ah, well. When do they ever? I hope you all are enjoying your breaks. Or are looking forward to them. I know my friend doesn't get off until the 24th. Do any of you have any big plans?

I'm having a party tomorrow with some friends. The best part is one of my friends, who usually doesn't get to do ANYTHING, is coming. You have no idea how hard we had to work her mother to let her come. But it all worked out. We're all pretty excited.

swamped--in more ways than one
We have snow today. We knew it was coming but I have to say that I am suprised. It's even still here. It usually melts off by the end of the day but not this year. It's really interesting, to have snow this "early."

I was sick all last week, so I missed a lot of work. 'Course now I have to make it all up. I'm feeling a little drowned in all the work. And I will be gone Friday and Monday, for my grandfather's memorial service and will be missing work then too. I had to stay after to make up a test, which I never got around to doing because the teacher left, so I left and walked home in the rain and snow. Ung. I only like snow because it has astetic value and that's about it. I know. You all think I'm crazy.

Well, I should go see if I can find that one paper I have to do. Hope all of you are well!

SO COLD!!!
We're having a cold snap. I'm freezing. School is freezing. I'm going to die! It's been raining for the past couple of days too and it could almost be called hail. Man, it's cold.

So that watercolors project is almost finished (YES!!!). All there is to do is paint the background to my portrait. My face is kind of messed up because I ran out of one mixture of paint halfway through and had to remix it and it ended up being a different shade. It's not even my skin tone. And everything is much too light. Oh well. I'm only a beginner, so I can't expect too much from myself, can I?

In my art class is this one girl who is an anime fan. And man does she draw good! Today she had her binder open and there were all these pictures inside. So I kept walking past there and sneaking glances. ^_^ Heh. I'm so (not) sneaky.

watercolors=death
Yep. Watercolors are going to be the death of me. I have this project in art. It's a self portrait and a general portrait in watercolors. Ung. I can't use colors for my life and this isn't helping me any! That's why I have the greatest respect for those who can use watercolors effectively.

I'm in this weird phase thing where I want to dance and make costumes. You're thinking: ??? Yeah, me too. I don't know where this one came about. I blame it on OJaganshi and her cosplaying pictures.

It's a change of layout again. Now that it is actually raining again, it was only a matter of time. It is now the colors I can see out my window. Doesn't match, but hey, who's counting...or matching....

   An update without an update...
That really doesn't make sense...but does at the same time. Never mind.

So that article I was talking about in my last post...it's up. If you're interested, please read it.

I have also submitted two pictures. "Dancing Death" and "Come At Me!" Feel free to check those out.

Life is continuing in its monotonous fashion, so there is nothing new to report really. Except the new additional pet to the household, a kitten who is as crazy as my first cat. She has one of those faces that makes her eyes look SUPER huge with that pleading look on her face. It's kind of funny.

It's really only been about two months since school started but feels like the middle of the year. And strangely enough, like it was just last week that I was in the last school year. Time is toying with me and I hate it. Do you get that feeling too?

About time...
Sorry I haven't been around lately. The computer went into the shop and didn't come back for over a week. I was starting to have computer withdrawls. I'm so pathetic.

Never be fooled by first impressions. The new school is not as great as it's made out to be. We're over capacity, even with a missing class. I'm not very happy with that, but I'm kind of stuck in the school so it's not worth complaining about.

How is school life for the rest of you?
