Coincidence?
This is pretty random and out of the blue, but I wanted to share anyway. So I've been reading Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa (a very good book. Highly recomended by me). It's strange but I noticed that there are a lot of "famous" anime/manga names in here. To name the ones I can remember: Kurama (sweet potato), Hiei (mountain), Kenshin (writer), Koroku (bandit. Not as popular though), and Sanosuke (Musashi's second pupil but in the book, it's spelled "Sannosuke"). I wonder if any of the writers got the names from this book? It is fairly popular in Japan after all.
Another thing about this book is how it is amazingly like an anime/manga. It has that sort of indirect way of showing you things. Or the way that it portrays things. Like a sword cut will become an arc of light and then dismembered bits of men fall to the ground. Very interesting, that it is.
