Another older (and long-term!) site member... how lovely! It always makes me feel good when I run into people here that are old enough to legally have a tax-paying job and can actually form sentences properly on the computer. (Guys too, but that's a different story.) I understand that younger individuals don't know as much as older people, simply because they're younger and can't help it, but the flaunting and using the less-than-legit-albeit-fun Wikipedia as the lone learning tool is annoying. Forgive me for scrolling in your Guestbook, but some of the other entires make me laugh. As far as fanfiction goes, I can go to quite a few novel series, television shows, films, manga/anime and I'm almost to the point to where I can understand a Kingdom Hearts fanfiction, just not write one. In the writing aspect, I've written for Slayers, Rurouni Kenshin, Reservoir Chronicle Tsubasa, a couple of books and One Piece. Most of the stuff I wrote before my shift from "One Piece Fan" to "One Piece Obsessive" tends to not agree with me anymore, but I still like it for nostalgic reasons. I troll on fanfiction.net and tell other people they suck sometimes. That usually doesn't end well. Oh, I'm rambling now, so I guess I'll just end this and add you as a friend. Strength is often in numbers and the more of us older otaku there are, then maybe the stonger we will be against the fly-by-night middle schoolers.
