Well, my weekend was just like I thought it'd be. Bad (mostly). Our band thing was soooooo looooooong. And then we have ANOTHER one next weekend. That's right, from 2:30-9 Friday and 8:30-5:30 Saturday. Plus, the dude found out the Naruto-loving third clarinets can't play our parts that well (I bet most people couldn't, either). So I would draw ninjas and we would pretend to do the ransengan thing where the guy in the middle would do the Shadow clone jitsu and hold out his hands to either side and then me and the other guy would pretend to make the ransengan in them. It was funny. We decided to be our own three-man genin team, but they said I had to be the healer like Tsunade cause I was the girl. And I argued alot. But anyways, one of them burned a cd for me that had all the openings and closings from Naruto to date and the movie theme. It's really good!!!
I also saw Bleach 5-6. What can I say? Nothing that I haven't already said. I'm hoping the next ones download SUPER fast!
I don't know what that says, but you can guess, right?
When I was shopping for anime at Best Buy, I met the guy who stocks the shelves full of anime. He was really nice and we talked for like, 45 minutes about anime! It was great. He told me he went as Chouji to a convention once, and how he wanted to get rid of all the DBZ DVDs and we talked about different animes we'd seen, and of course I told him about my site. The sad thing is, he has to go back up to college in Boston at the end of his break, so I woun't probably see him again. But it's really nice to meet people like that.
Oh, and I bought PMK vol. 2 and Azumanga Daioh vol. 1. I haven't seen or read Azumanga, but I've heard great things about it, so I figured I check it out.
Another thing I checked out last night was Elektra. The fighting was good, and there was lots of visual FX eye candy (like Tatoo!), but it felt...incomplete. You never really got any background information on anyone, and even Elektra's wasn't that good, and it just felt like the story was a thread that was clipped off too suddenly. I'd think I'd wait for this on DVD if I were you, even if I was a huge Jennifer Garner fan (who me?). This movie does NOT exploit her acting talents. And everyone's too weepy in it. It's too weepy for an action flick.
Now, most of you know me by now, and you know I LOVE my comic book movies, and I hate to dis them, especially when they have people I like. So to make up for this, let me just tell you...THE FANTASTIC FOUR TRAILOR WAS FRIGGIN FANTASTIC! Dude, I saw a pic of Ben on the web, and I was like "this is gonna suck" but after seeing him in action..........WOAH. It looks great. ANd the Human Torch was hot. And I thought the effects they were going to use for Mr. Fantastic's stretchy body were going to suck, but they idn't turn out bad at all. Lemme just say, come summer, I'm seeing that.
Even though I still think Plastic Man from the JLA could put Mr. Fantastic to shame. For his sense of humor, if nothing else.
RED'S WEIRD-ASS DREAMS!!!
Ahh! It's back! It's been awhile since a WAD segment, eh? Anyways, there were bits and pieces I can remember, like at one point a pool exploading in a hotel so a tsunami came and wiped out the hotel next to it. But the coolest part was by far me meeting Darth Vader and wandering around on a Star Destoryer with him, and looking for a Chili's from outer space so that we could get some good salsa. Once of my coolest weird-ass dreams ever. Thanks, Darth!
"You got it, Red!"
We'll skip the diet segment today, since there's a WAD.
RED'S MAGNIFICENT MOVIE QUOTE
Now we're having fun!
"The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story. And this one, is very good. This one is perfect."
Ok, hope everyone has a great Sunday!
