Asking too much
I dunno, am I asking too much in that looking around this website, I can't really find anyone's page who interests me? Everyone seems so shallow... I'm sure my anime babbling must seem as trite to other people as some of this stuff seems to me. I was surfing around, looking for pages with... I dunno... content. Haven't had much luck so far, which saddens me.
Why is it so hard to write in complete sentences? What is so wrong with capitalization, and proper punctuation? Geez, I'm an AOL brat (we had the accursed service for years), and, well, look at me. I at least like to think I'm coherent. If not overly verbose.
Is there something wrong with me? Am I alone in this? Or am I just holding people to a standard that most can't meet?
*sighs*
I don't understand the internet sometimes.
---------------------
I figure I should explain one of my bizarre quirks before I get too many odd looks. When I really, really like a character, they become a muse. This doesn't happen often ... sometimes a character will pop up and be a muse for a month or two, and then, whoosh, they're gone.
Or they can be like Kenshin, and stick around for five years.
After a certain amount of time, I'll randomly start giving said muses affectionate tags. I call Kenshin "oniisan", because of an RP I was once in, I played a character who was brainwashed into thinking she was Kenshin's little sister. So, whenever you see me refering to 'niisan, I'm probably talking about Kenshin.
There are only a handful of characters I do this with ... I occasionally refer to Ichigo from Bleach as "aniki", and I like refering to Ed as "chibiko" even though I usually have to run afterwards.
So that's my strange geekery-quirk.
---------------------
One of my good friends' father had a stroke yesterday. He's doing very well from what I hear, there doesn't seem to be any permanant damage. Still, if any of you are religious in any way, please keep my friend in your thoughts and prayers.
---------------------
I relish my anonymity on this site. I don't know how long it will be until all my friends start flooding over ... not that that's a BAD thing, mind, but it's nice to 'start fresh' and have the possibility of making new, and MORE friends.
Besides, it means Saitou won't pop up in the comments and call me Kenshin. ¬_¬x;;
