Sanosuke Sagara aka Zanza the Fighter for Hier

Welcome to this one's small cabin near the remains of the Sixt Gate Shrine in the mountains of Kyoto Japan. Of course the Six Gate Shrine burned after the assult of Shishio Makoto! Luckily this one's elder brother Kenshin was there to save Japane from his beleifs of "The weak die and the strong live, thus the weak become food for the strong." Such nasty ideals... Now his soul rests in the belly of Leviyathen, the montser of the 7th gate of Limbo, "He who is looked upon by no one but his summoner".

Here she makes a living by visiting the under laying villages that are not supported by the ever fetil Meji Government as of yet. So in hopes of forming a better country, this one travels to the villages to cure the sick and heal the wounded for she is a Preistess of Purity. Why do we love Sanosuke so much? Cause he's the punk. He's a robber, ex-con, and he gets Megumi. His history like everyone elses is sad. As a kid he was an orphan, but was taken in by the Sekihou Tai. The government used them as a martyr and killed them off after they made the government look good by getting rid of them. That's why he got the jacket saying "Aku" which means something of bad or sin. He then learned to hate the Meiji government until Kenshin set him straight. Later on he learns the Futae no Kiwami, basically a really powerful punch. He also beats up this guy named Anji in the Shi-Shi-o saga, and he buys time for Kenshin when he fights Shi-Shi-O. He proves his worth in the group in the end.

Sanosuke is a good friend of Kenshin's. They started out as enemies, but after Kenshin defeated him, he followed through with a lecture that reminded Sano of how his idol, Sagara-taichou, used to talk.

Sano likes to spend his time gambling and drinking. He also never turns down a fight. He tends to rush into things, which often results in him getting hurt. He also has an incredible stamina, and takes hits a lot more easily than most people. He won't quit until he's practically unconscious.
Sano used to be a fighter-for-hire, but now he's just a freeloader. He gets free food at the Kamiya Dojo, so why bother working? He also used to carry a Zanbattou, which is a HUGE sword. This was broken by Kenshin. Now, he uses his fists all the time, and is still a formidable fighter. He's also incredibly fast, which is a result of him using the extremely heavy Zanbattou.

Sanosuke always wears a simple white shirt and pants. On the back of his shirt is the symbol of "aku" (ˆ«), which means "bad". Many think he wears it to enhance his "bad guy" character, but he really wears it to remind himself of the label the Sekihoutai were given when they were denounced as a false army--one of the many things he hates about the government.
